Isaiah 19: Egypt’s cruel lord
The Burden of Egypt
By Craig C. White
Well it happened. Egypt got its new President. His name is Mohamed Morsi. He was the Muslim Brotherhood’s candidate for President. Hamas; an associate terrorist organization celebrated Morsi’s election victory by firing 10 rockets into southern Israel from Gaza. Morsi believes in establishing an Islamic state in Egypt. He is Egypt’s first Islamic president. Also; he and his supporters believe in establishing a Palestinian state in Israel. Morsi has promised “we will preserve all national and international agreements”. This vaguely refers to the peace treaty between Egypt and Israel. Nobody believes that he will keep his promise. Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood’s ultimate goal is the establishment of an Islamic Empire (or Caliphate) covering the Middle East and Northern Africa.
Egypt is becoming more and more divided. The Egyptian people wanted democracy. What they are getting is despotism and Islamist oppression. Protests are turning violent as Egyptian fights against Egyptian. Isaiah 19 tells the end time fortune of Egypt. It would seem that we are in those days.
Isaiah 19:2 And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom.
According to Isaiah 19:4 Egypt will be led by a cruel leader. He will be in power possibly before, during, and after the Great Tribulation. He will dishonor God and cause the Egyptian people to suffer greatly. During his reign the Nile River will dry up. All of Egypt’s crops will fail. Their fish will die. Egypt’s leaders will make foolish decisions. There will be no work for the Egyptian people. Folks, we may be watching this leader coming to power. If Mohamed Morsi is Egypt’s cruel lord, then Jesus Christ will come to rapture his Church during his reign. It is High Time to Awake!
Isaiah 19:4 And the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts.
Sometime after the great Tribulation when Jesus returns to earth with great power and judgment, Egypt will eventually honor God and be restored.
Isaiah 19:21 And the LORD shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know the LORD in that day, and shall do sacrifice and oblation; yea, they shall vow a vow unto the LORD, and perform it. 22 And the LORD shall smite Egypt: he shall smite and heal it: and they shall return even to the LORD, and he shall be intreated of them, and shall heal them.
Psa 68:31 Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto God.
Read Isaiah 19 in your bible. It tells us about “the burden of Egypt” in the last days!
