We will be changed at the last trump!

We will be changed at the last trump!

But not at the seventh trumpet

1Corinthians 15:52

By Craig C. White

A lot of Christians equate the last trump in 1Corinthians 15:52 with the seventh trumpet judgement in Revelation 10:7. This assumption sometimes leads them to conclude that the Rapture will happen during the Tribulation period.

I don’t think that the last trump in 1Corinthians 15:52 correlates at all with the trumpet judgements of Revelation. The trumpet calls serve different purposes. The trumpet call in 1Corinthians is a call to gather the Church. The seven trumpet calls in Revelation are announcements of judgement on the earth. I think that the trumpet call in 1Corinthians 15:52 is a separate trumpet call than the seven trumpet calls in Revelation. The word trump is different than the word trumpet. I think that the last trump in 1Corinthians 15:52 is the last note of God’s trumpet that is played while gathering his Church. The dead in Christ will rise while the trumpet is sounded. When the trumpet call ends then those Christians that were alive when the resurrection began will be changed!

1Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

1Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Craig, some people are even claiming the last trump refers to Donald Trump. And they’re coming up with all sorts of reasons for it. It seems to be total anarchy on the internet.

      The story of Korah

Num 16:1-5 Now Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men: 2 And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown: 3 And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD? 4 And when Moses heard it, he fell upon his face: 5 And he spake unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even to morrow the LORD will shew who are his, and who is holy; and will cause him to come near unto him: even him whom he hath chosen will he cause to come near unto him.

      long story short

Num 16:31-33 And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that was under them: 32 And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods. 33 They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation.

Hi Craig, I believe in the Pentecost rapture. I’ve just learnt that the feast of weeks (Pentecost) celebrated by the Jews is not on the same day, every year the date changes and its celebrated in three days. 1 Thessalonians 5:1-3. Nobody know the day or the hour

During the feast the religious Jews stay all night long seeking the Lord. They believe during the night there is a moment no one knows the window of heaven opens up to them for a brief moment and God reveals Himself to them,They stay awake because they don’t want to miss it. Is this not the Rapture?

Nobody knows the day or hour that the Antichrist will invade Jerusalem. Matthew chapter 24 has nothing to do with the Rapture or with Church age Christians.
