Press release: ISIS women fighting on the front lines

hightimetoawake.com

High Time to Awake provides Bible prophecy commentary and Bible news articles. Conditions in Mosul are very similar to the way things were in ancient Nineveh. As a matter of fact Mosul is built around the ruins of ancient Nineveh. The Prophet Nahum predicted the flooding and destruction of ancient Nineveh. Nahum may also predict the defeat of ISIS in Mosul and also the flooding and destruction of the city. ISIS has been sorely defeated in Iraq and Syria. Now they have stooped to drafting women as front line soldiers. Please consider sharing my article titled “ISIS women fighting on the front lines”.

ISIS women fighting on the front lines

ISIS leader al-Baghdadi still alive

By Craig C. White

MOSUL, IraqSeptember 15, 2017 – Pay attention. Jesus is going to ask you about this when you see him. The Prophet Nahum predicted the flooding and fall of the ancient Assyrian capital city of Nineveh. That happened in 612 BC ending the Assyrian Empire. Here is where it gets interesting. Today the northern Iraq city of Mosul is built around the ruins of ancient Nineveh. Mosul was the capital city of ISIS until the Iraqi Army hunted down ISIS city block by city block. As you know, ISIS tried to create a new Islamic Caliphate or Empire covering northern Iraq and northern Syria. This is the same geographic area that the ancient Assyrian State once covered. So ISIS attempted to recreate the ancient Assyrian State. Nahum 1:9 says that the affliction caused by the Assyrian Empire towards Israel “will not rise up the second time”. So Nahum is saying that the Assyrian State will not rise up a second time. Nahum 1:8 says that God will destroy “the place” where Nineveh was built with a flood of water. That prompts us to wonder if Nahum’s predictions may also apply to the modern day city of Mosul.

Nahum 1:8 But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies.

Like ancient Nineveh, the modern day city of Mosul sits directly on the Tigris River. In 612 BC God sent three months of torrential rain to flood the city of Nineveh. After the city walls fell, the Babylonians, Medes, and Persians ransacked the city of Nineveh until nothing was left. Today the same three armies are fighting against ISIS in Mosul. Today the oldest section of Mosul has been very nearly completely destroyed. Also the Mosul dam is in danger of bursting. If the Mosul dam were ever to fail then it could send a seventy foot tall wave of water over the city of Mosul.

In order to recognize the possible modern day application of Nahum’s prophecy we would first need to know that Nineveh and Mosul are located in the same place. Well now we do know. But that is just the beginning. Many of the details that are written in the book of Nahum have already come to pass in Mosul. Nahum describes the military attack and defeat of the city.

Nahum 3:3 The horseman lifteth up both the bright sword and the glittering spear: and there is a multitude of slain, and a great number of carcases; and there is none end of their corpses; they stumble upon their corpses:

Nahum 3:3 graphically describes the multitude of dead bodies that litter the streets of Nineveh (or modern day Mosul). The Iraq government declared victory over ISIS in Mosul in early July 2017. So far Iraqi authorities have retrieved more than 2600 corpses of Mosul civilians. Besides the bodies of civilians, the bodies of ISIS fighters still remain fallen on the streets of Mosul. Iraq refuses to honor them with a burial.

Nahum 3:13 points out that women will become primary fighters. Probably due to the heavy casualties that ISIS has suffered in Iraq and Syria, ISIS has recently called on all of their women to contribute to the fight. ISIS has employed women as suicide bombers, and also as snipers, and even as front line soldiers.

Nahum 3:13 Behold, thy people in the midst of thee are women: the gates of thy land shall be set wide open unto thine enemies: the fire shall devour thy bars.

Women fought in Mosul and they are now fighting in the Iraqi town of Tal Afar located just to the west of Mosul. The Iraq government has declared victory over ISIS in both Mosul and Tal Afar but ISIS terror cells still remain in both towns.

Here is something to keep an eye out for. Nahum 2:5 talks about the Assyrian (or perhaps ISIS) leader as he formally addresses his troops. ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was thought to be killed but now there are reports that he is still alive. As a matter of fact Lahur Talabany an Iraqi intelligence official says that al-Baghdadi is now planning a string of last ditch terror attacks. If Nahum’s prophecy pertains to current events in Mosul then we should expect to hear from ISIS leader al-Baghdadi as he tells his troops to go out fighting.

Nahum 2:5 He shall recount his worthies: they shall stumble in their walk; they shall make haste to the wall thereof, and the defence shall be prepared.

Nineveh and Mosul are located in the same place. Circumstances in Mosul are very similar to many of Nahum’s prophecies. If the book of Nahum applies to current events in Mosul then we should expect to hear from ISIS leader al-Baghdadi. We should also expect that the city of Mosul will be destroyed by a flood of water. There is even more to glean from the book of Nahum. Nahum talks about the presence of Jesus Christ on earth. It is possible that Jesus will judge the city of Mosul in person. The flooding of Mosul could possibly be connected to Jesus Christ’s return at the Rapture or perhaps at his second coming.

It is High Time for Christians to get informed. It is High Time to Awake because our salvation is nearer than when we believed.
