Damascus refugees will soon flee to Kerak, Jordan!

    By Craig C. White

The Prophet Amos condemned Damascus. He said that God would send an army against Damascus and that the Syrian people would become refugees in Jordan. This prophecy was fulfilled when Tiglath-pileser the Assyrian king conquered Damascus (734 B.C.) and carried the Syrian (Aramean) captives away to Kir (mountainous region in western Jordan). However, like many bible prophecies this may also refer to a current event. Today the city of Kir in Jordan is called Kerak. Kerak is in south western Jordan east of the Dead Sea. It has a population of about 20,000. Not including the tens of thousands of Syrian refugees already there. The citizens of Kerak are poor and mostly Christian. By the way Kerak is in the Moab region of Jordan and is very likely where the Judean refugees will flee during Jerusalem’s Great Tribulation!

There are about 600,000 Syrian refugees in western Jordan today. This is further evidence that the destruction of Damascus as described in the bible is eminent. It is also evidence that the God of Israel is the one true God and that we all had better heed his word and we had also better humble ourselves before him while there is still time! In Amos 1:5 the plain of Aven is a valley in the northeast part of Lebanon near the Syrian border. Today it is called the Bekaa valley. It has been suggested that Saddam Hussein hid WMD’s here before the invasion of Iraq.

Amo 1:3-5 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Damascus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have threshed Gilead with threshing instruments of iron: 4 But I will send a fire into the house of Hazael, which shall devour the palaces of Benhadad. 5 I will break also the bar of Damascus, and cut off the inhabitant from the plain of Aven, and him that holdeth the sceptre from the house of Eden: and the people of Syria shall go into captivity unto Kir, saith the LORD.

God used the terminology to send a fire to mean that the Assyrian army would besiege the city. Just as the ancient Assyrians assaulted the city in 734 BC, I think that the Turkish army will do likewise soon. The palaces of Benhadad refer to the ancient thrones of Syrian Kings in Damascus. Like the ancient invasion, this future invasion will also destroy Damascus’ seat of government in the old part of Damascus.

Tens of thousands of Syrians have already taken refuge in Kir (or Kerak) in western Jordan. Many more will join them as Damascus flees. Bible prophecies are coming true. There is a terrible time of Satan’s anger and of God’s judgement coming on all of the world. It is High Time to surrender your soul into God’s care.

Isaiah 17 and Jeremiah 49 also predict the destruction of Damascus, Syria. They both offer details that can be observed today!

    From Nob to Nobody

God will turn back the end time invader of Israel

    By Craig C. White

In 701 BC the Assyrian King Sennacherib successfully invaded most of the region around Jerusalem but God promised that he would not allow the Assyrians to enter Jerusalem. The Assyrian Army was camped on the hill named “Nob” which is the hill just to the north of the Mount of Olives (Isa 10:32). They were ready to attack Jerusalem in the morning but when they woke up most of them were dead. Sennacherib the king of Assyria retreated back to the Assyrian capital city of Nineveh. Nineveh is called Mosul today in northern Iraq.

2Kings 19:31-35 For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this. 32 Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shield, nor cast a bank against it. 33 By the way that he came, by the same shall he return, and shall not come into this city, saith the LORD. 34 For I will defend this city, to save it, for mine own sake, and for my servant David’s sake. 35 And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the LORD went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses. (Also see Isa 37:36)

2Kings 19:31-35 may have end time application. I think that this scenario may be repeated when Jesus Christ returns to Jerusalem and stands on the Mount of Olives at the end of the Tribulation period. The Mount of Olives will split in two; half to the north and half to the south allowing the few remaining Jews that are hunkered on Mount Zion to escape through the newly formed valley and flee into the mountains east of Jerusalem (Zechariah 14:4).

Psalm 30:5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Just when all seems lost for the last Jews in Jerusalem then their Messiah will rescue them. The armies that have gathered on Nob hill will be wiped out by Jesus Christ personally.

  • The destruction of Damascus is still future!

The destruction of Damascus is still future!

    Jeremiah prophesied long after Isaiah

    By Craig C. White

Please allow me to defend the future fulfillment of the destruction of Damascus. Many Bible scholars claim that the destruction of Damascus has already taken place. They say that the Assyrian conquest of Damascus in 734 BC fulfills the Damascus prophecy. Well Damascus was conquered by Assyria in 734 BC and several cities around Damascus were burned with fire but Damascus has never been completely destroyed. These Bible teachers argue that the Assyrian conquest of Damascus happened shortly after Isaiah gave his prophecy about the destruction of Damascus.

Isaiah 17:1 The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.

It is true that the Assyrians conquered Damascus and wreaked havoc on surrounding towns shortly after Isaiah predicted the event. I am certain that much of Isaiah’s prophecy was fulfilled in 734 BC, BUT long after Isaiah gave his prophecy the Prophet Jeremiah also predicted the destruction of Damascus.

Jeremiah 49:23-25 Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet. 24 Damascus is waxed feeble, and turneth herself to flee, and fear hath seized on her: anguish and sorrows have taken her, as a woman in travail. 25 How is the city of praise not left, the city of my joy!

Jeremiah was a prophet of Israel around 600 BC. Jeremiah gave his prophecy one hundred years after Assyria conquered Damascus in 734 BC. So the Assyrian conquest of Damascus cannot possibly fulfill Jeremiah’s prophecy. The destruction of Damascus is still future.

I think that Jeremiah is prophesying about an invasion of Damascus that is forming now. Turkey will destroy Damascus!

  • I wonder if Israel will ask Turkey for help to fight Syria in the Golan Heights?

I wonder if Israel will ask Turkey for help to fight Syria in the Golan Heights?

    By Craig C. White

Things are heating up between Israel and Syrian forces. Several military strikes have been exchanged on the Golan Heights.

History may be repeating itself concerning Israel. Around 740 BC Syria made war against Israel’s southern kingdom of Judah. Ahaz the king of Judah asked Assyria for help. Assyria attacked Syria and conquered Damascus. A few years latter Assyria attacked northern Israel. All of this is recorded in 2Kings 16-17.

Here is a list of actors in this historic drama from the northern most kingdom southward. During this time the land of Israel was divided into two kingdoms; Israel to the north and Judah to the south.

    Tiglathpileser king of Assyria
    Rezin king of Syria
Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel
    Ahaz king of Judah

2Kings 16:5 Then Rezin king of Syria and Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel came up to Jerusalem to war: and they besieged Ahaz, but could not overcome him.

2Kings 16:7 So Ahaz sent messengers to Tiglathpileser king of Assyria, saying, I am thy servant and thy son: come up, and save me out of the hand of the king of Syria, and out of the hand of the king of Israel, which rise up against me.

2Kings 16:9 And the king of Assyria hearkened unto him: for the king of Assyria went up against Damascus, and took it, and carried the people of it captive to Kir, and slew Rezin.

Just a few years later Assyria attacked northern Israel. By this time Shalmaneser was king of Assyria.

2Kings 17:5 Then the king of Assyria came up throughout all the land, and went up to Samaria, and besieged it three years.

While 2Kings 16-17 are not viewed as prophetic verses, a similar scenario is presenting itself today. Today Syria and Israel are fighting in the Golan Heights. Could it be that Israel will ask another far northern kingdom for help against Syria?

Jeremiah 49:23-27 describes an end time invasion into Syria coming from the Turkish border. Afterwards Damascus is destroyed.

Ezekiel chapter 38 describes a Turkish led invasion into Israel that seems to parallel the Assyrian invasion into northern Israel in 734 BC. Every nation that is listed in Ezekiel chapter 38 is now fighting in Syria.

I wonder if Israel will ask Turkey for help to fight Syria in the Golan Heights? I am already certain that the Turkish Army will invade Syria in force and destroy Damascus. I am also certain that Turkey will lead an invasion into Israel. In the Bible the Antichrist is compared to the ancient Assyrian kings. That’s because the Antichrist will do the same things that the Assyrian kings did. He will invade Syria, conquer Damascus, and then invade northern Israel. That is only the beginning. I am convinced that Turkey President Erdogan is the modern day fulfillment of “the Assyrian”.

  • Old Damascus neighborhood must be destroyed

Old Damascus neighborhood must be destroyed

    The city of my praise

    By Craig C. White

Most Christians are familiar with the Bible verse that says that Damascus will become a ruinous heap. But the Bible defines a specific Damascus neighborhood that must be destroyed.

Isaiah 17:1-2 The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.
Has Damascus already become a ruinous heap? Some outlying neighborhoods have. But the central core of Damascus remains relatively intact. Does this satisfy Bible prophecy? Not yet. Jeremiah chapter 49 identifies the neighborhood of Old Damascus with its Old buildings and ancient renown.

Jeremiah 49:25 How is the city of praise not left, the city of my joy!

Two different Hebrew words for city are used in the verse above. The city of praise is a fortified city that has been celebrated in song. When God says “how is the city not left” he could be communicating his astonishment that even after a terrible assault on Damascus, the city has still not surrendered. When God calls Damascus “the city of my joy!” he is specifically saying that he delights in the cities old buildings. So we are looking for the destruction of the old part of the city. The neighborhood of Old Damascus is the seat of Syria’s government as well as its center of ancient history. Damascus is the oldest continually inhabited city on earth. It was founded by the Aramaeans over four thousand years ago, and was inhabited two thousand years before that. Damascus is a living depiction of human history.

  • Ancient history repeats itself!

    Ancient history repeats itself!

    Turkey copies Assyria

    By Craig C. White

What if I told you that there are two end time battles that were prophesied long ago by Old Testament prophets? What if I told you that these two battles were so significant that God modeled ancient history to reflect them? What if I told you that these two prophetic battles have actually begun? Well that’s exactly what I am telling you.

The first battle occurs in two parts. It begins with an attack on Syria by Turkey. Syria’s capital city of Damascus is the target. Damascus will be destroyed. The attack will even spill over into eastern Lebanon. The second part of this first battle is the Turkish led invasion into Israel. This invasion into Israel is described in Ezekiel chapter 38 and is known as the battle of Gog and Magog. Gog is Turkey. Magog is its ruler. God gave us a model of this invasion in 734 BC. It was the Assyrian invasion of Syria and also northern Israel led by the Assyrian King Tiglath-pileser.

The Second battle is another Turkish led invasion into Israel. It is commonly known as the battle of Armageddon. This battle occurs just before Jesus Christ’s second coming. It is also the second battle known as the battle of Gog and Magog as described in Ezekiel chapter 39. Remember that Gog is Turkey and that Magog is its ruler. God also gave us a model of this invasion in 701 BC. It was another Assyrian invasion, this time into southern Israel led by Assyrian King Sennacherib.

Since God patterned ancient history after these two end time battles; one would have to conclude that they are very important to understand. Not only are these two battles modeled in ancient history, but God describes them in detail in Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39.

I said that these battles have already begun; and they have. Jeremiah 49:23 below describes two northwestern Syrian cities as they hear intelligence reports of a gathering army on the Turkish border. Since early September 2013 Turkey has begun moving heavy military equipment on the Syrian border.

Jeremiah 49:23 Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.

Syria’s northwestern cities are hearing intelligence reports of a gathering Turkish army now!

Another astounding bit of evidence of this first end time battle can be found in Syria today! Ezekiel chapter 38 lists all of the nations that will participate in the Turkish led invasion into Israel. Turkey will lead Iran, Sudan, and Libya into Israel. Below, Persia is the former title of the modern day nation of Iran. The word translated as Ethiopia is the Hebrew name “Cush”. Cush was one of Noah’s grandsons. Cush settled the land south of Egypt. Cush better describes Sudan today.

Ezekiel 38:5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:

Ezekiel’s list is also a roster of the major fighting forces in Syria today! To complete the list you would need to add Iraq and Saudi Arabia, since Al-Qaeda from these two countries are also fighting in Syria. Ezekiel doesn’t overlook them. In Ezekiel 38:13 Saudi Arabia is also mentioned. I think that Al-Qaeda from northern Iraq (also known as ISIS) will suffer a major defeat before Turkey leads Iran, Sudan, and Libya into Israel!.

Ezekiel 38:13 Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?

Soldiers from Saudi Arabia and Lebanon will cheer on the impending invasion into Israel. They may not march into Israel with the others but they will encourage the invaders by saying that they will become rich by carrying away Israel’s goods.

We are standing at the doorstep of these two end time battles. As believers in Jesus Christ it is our responsibility to now stand aware of these events even as others stand in darkness. Jesus Christ will soon return to gather his Church. Israel will soon suffer her terrible time of tribulation. The entire world will suffer God’s judgment. Jesus will finally return to defeat Israel’s enemies and rule on earth forever.

Rom 13:11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

    Our salvation is near!

  • Turkish rule over Israel is now being openly promoted

Turkish rule over Israel is now being openly promoted

It is High Time to recognize that Turkish President Erdogan is the Antichrist.

    By Craig C. White

JULY 2017: Convincing Christians that Turkish President Erdogan is the Antichrist is like watching a glacier melt; except it’s much slower. I told you about Erdogan six years ago and only now am I seeing some Christians beginning to consider the possibility that Erdogan is the Antichrist. Even now they still can’t grasp it.

Erdogan is the Antichrist. Not only does he intend to revive the Turkish ruled Ottoman Empire but he has threatened to conquer Jerusalem for Islam. Both of these things are foretold in the Bible. Erdogan is the “chief prince” or primary governor among the provinces of Turkey mentioned in Ezekiel 38:1-3. According to Ezekiel he will lead the Islamic nations into Israel. According to Daniel 11:40 the Antichrist will invade Egypt by “many ships”. Turkey has begun building a large naval personnel carrier. Erdogan has vowed to reinstate Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood presidential candidate Mohammed Morsi back into power in Egypt. Jeremiah 49:23-27 describes an invasion into northwestern Syria at Hamah and Tell Rifaat. The Turkish Army is gathering against Tell Rifaat right now. According to Jeremiah after Hamah and Tell Rifaat hear reports of a coming invasion then the residents of Damascus will flee and Damascus will be destroyed. There is more evidence that Turkish President Erdogan is the Antichrist.

It has been a busy week for Turkish President Erdogan. Israel installed metal detectors on the Temple Mount after two Israeli policemen were murdered there by three Arab-Israeli men two weeks ago. On Tuesday July 25th Erdogan called on all Muslims to overrun the Temple Mount in protest and to protect Islam’s “Haram al-Sharif” or “Noble Sanctuary” as they call the Temple Mount. On Thursday tens of thousands of Palestinians rioted at the Temple Mount. Israel responded by eliminating the metal detectors but restricted the age to men of 50 years and older allowed on the Temple Mount. There was calm on the Temple Mount for Friday prayers but there were clashes between Israelis and Palestinians in Bethlehem, Nablus, Kalkilya, Hebron, Kafr Qadum and the Tomb of Rachel.

In response to the riots on the Temple Mount Turkish President Erdogan said that “Palestine’s problems began with the fall of the Ottoman Empire.” So Erdogan’s prescribed solution to the Israeli and Palestinian problem is for Turkey to once again rule over Israel. I am here to tell you that Erdogan will get his wish.

On Thursday Turkey’s Foreign Ministry spokesman said, “The Jews should appreciate how good they had it under the Ottoman Empire”. He said that life was better for the Jews before the Jewish state. So the idea of Turkish rule over Israel is now being openly promoted.

Turkish President Erdogan wants to reestablish the Turkish ruled Ottoman Empire. This is the head that was wounded and healed in Revelation 13:3. The head represents the last world empire that was defeated but then revived during the end time.

Revelation 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

The revived Ottoman Empire is the end time world empire that will sorely oppress Israel. Turkish President Erdogan is the Antichrist.

  • Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

said the top cleric of the Muslim Brotherhood

    By Craig C. White

Turkish President Erdogan is reestablishing the Turkish ruled Ottoman Empire. The Ottoman Empire was the last world empire which ruled from 1229 – 1923. A world empire is a kingdom that extends throughout multiple geographic regions of the old world. In the case of the Ottoman Empire; it controlled territory in eastern Europe, Northern Africa, the Middle East, and central Asia. In Revelation chapter 13 it says that the last historical world empire would be revived in the last days. Well the Turkish ruled World Empire is reappearing. The last days are here!

The “beast” in Revelation chapter 13 is a revived world empire or the ruler of a revived world empire.

Revelation 13:3-4 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. 4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

The top cleric of the Muslim Brotherhood Yusuf al-Qaradawi has called Turkish President Erdogan “Sultan” and has called on all Islamic nations to follow him. Yusuf al-Qaradawi said…

“Who can make war with Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogran?”

Revelation 13:4 says the same thing. Bible prophecy is coming to pass. The end time world empire is quickly emerging. Turkish President Erdogan is determined to be the ruler over the next world empire. He already has most top Muslim clerics on his side. Erdogan is being hailed as the promised Mahdi who will rule over all of Islam. He is the “chief prince” or primary governor among the provinces of Turkey who will lead the Islamic nations into Israel (Ezekiel 38 and 39). Erdogan is the Antichrist.

The Antichrist will lead the world into seven years of bloodshed and God’s wrath on earth. The Antichrist will oppress Israel for three and one half years (Rev 13:5). The Tribulation is near. That means that the Resurrection and Rapture is even nearer. Prepare yourselves to meet your God!

  • Psalm 83 War – From Judah to Jordan to Jesus

    psalm 83 war

Judean wilderness east of Jerusalem toward Jordan.

Note: The path that sweeps across the illustration is an infamous trail. This may be the route that the people of Judea take while fleeing into the mountains (Mark 13:14).

    Psalm 83 War

    Hidden in a secret place!

    By Craig C. White

It is very popular these days to say that the Psalm 83 war will happen soon. Well it will happen pretty soon, but not before the Rapture of the Church, and not before the Great Tribulation. It will happen during the Great Tribulation. Psalm 83 is short and simple. The key to understanding it is to recognize who “thy hidden ones” are in verse 3. They are Jews from Judea (region south of Jerusalem) who have fled into the wilderness during the second half of the Great Tribulation. The wilderness is the mountainous region of Jordan east of Jerusalem.

Mark 13:14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:

Psalm 83 is a request for God’s help. It probably represents the Judean refugee’s call for defense at the end of the Tribulation. Jesus Christ will come through Jordan defeating Israel’s enemies (read Revelation Wrath Path). In the verse below, Edom and Bozrah are in todays Jordan.

Isa 63:1 Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.

Psalm 83 has four sections; God, be not still, Counsel Council, List of enemies, and Do unto others as you have done unto them before!

    God, be not still!

Psalm 83:1 A Song or Psalm of Asaph. Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.

The word not is used three times in the opening verse of Psalm 83. The Hebrew word translated not here means not!

This is a prayer that God would not allow the people of Israel to be killed by their enemies. Also that God would not fail to devise an offense against Israel’s enemies. And that God would not be idle while Israel’s enemies attack. In other words, Lord now is the time for action!

Psalm 83:2 For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.

Israel’s enemies hate Israel. The enemies of Israel are the adversaries of God. They are making a loud sound. They are enraged. They are screaming to make war on the Judean refugees. They hate God personally. The word translated head in the verse above is the Hebrew word rosh. Rosh means chief or primary. It probably refers to a leader. Israel’s enemies have magnified their leader. They think that they can fight against God because their ruler is supreme!

    Counsel Council

Psalm 83:3 They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.

God’s enemies have assembled together in a secret meeting and have devised a cunning plan against the nation of Israel to utterly destroy them. They have deliberated together to kill God’s “hidden ones”.

In verse 3 above, the term “hidden ones” means to hide by covering over. The Judean refugees are protected in mountainous dens in Jordan. They are kept in a secret place until Jesus Christ returns!

In Isaiah 16 below, God allows the Jews escaping Judah to take refuge in Moab which is in today’s Jordan east of the Dead Sea. This verse is applied to the time just before Jesus Christ takes his place on his throne in Jerusalem.

Isa 16:3-5 Take counsel, execute judgment; make thy shadow as the night in the midst of the noonday; hide the outcasts; bewray not him that wandereth. 4 Let mine outcasts dwell with thee, Moab; be thou a covert to them from the face of the spoiler: for the extortioner is at an end, the spoiler ceaseth, the oppressors are consumed out of the land. 5 And in mercy shall the throne be established: and he shall sit upon it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and hasting righteousness.

In the middle of the Great Tribulation Jews in Judea will flee to the mountains or wilderness. Some of the people of Judea (region around Jerusalem) will flee to the mountains where God will sustain them for three and a half years (Mat 24:15-16, Luke 21:21-22). I think that this place is on the east side of the Jordan River near Jericho and Mt. Nebo, where Israel entered the land after the exodus. It is also the place where ravens fed Elijah as he hid (1Ki 17:3). It is also the place where King David and his men fled out of Jerusalem from Absalom his son when he took over the kingdom of Israel (2Sa 17:22).

Mark 13:14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:

Rev 12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

Rev 12:14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

Note: In the verse above “Wings of a great eagle” refers to God’s supernatural help given to Israel in time of flight. This idiom is applied to Israel during the exodus in Exo 19:4. It is also applied to Israel’s deliverance from Jerusalem at the end of the Great Tribulation in Isa 40:31. It is applied here to the people in Judea just before Israel is overrun with its enemies during the Great Tribulation period.

Below; Zechariah tells us that Jesus will save “the tents of Judah” before he saves the city of Jerusalem!

Zec 12:7 The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah.

It may be that “the tents of Judah” (above) are those of Judea who fled to the Jordanian mountains. They have been living there for 3 ½ years protected by God.

Psalm 83:4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. 5 For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:

During their meeting, Israel’s enemies plan to destroy the nation of Israel. They have deliberated together and all agree. They have made a pact with themselves. This is describing a Middle Eastern conference were a contract is written that all nations agree to. They will completely eradicate the nation of Israel.

    List of enemies

Psalm 83:6 The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes; 7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre; 8 Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.

This list of Israel’s enemies is mostly describing the nation of Jordan. Edom is in today’s Jordan. Ishmaelites settled Saudi Arabia, but I don’t think that Saudi Arabia is represented here. Ishmaelites also settled in today’s southern Jordan. Hagarenes settled in today’s Jordan, There is a Gebal in Lebanon, but this Gebal is in today’s Jordan. Ammon settled in today’s Jordan, Amalek probably lived just west of today’s Jordan. The Philistines lived on Israel’s Mediterranean coast. I think they represent Lebanon here, along with Tyre. Assur is ancient Assyria. Today it is best represented by northern Iraq. So Lebanon and Iraq agree to help the children of Lot. Lot’s children were Moab and Ammon. Like I said before, they both settled in today’s Jordan.

    Psalm 83 war

    Psalm 83 War Map

So Psalm 83 is describing a Jordanian conference where Lebanon and Iraq agree to help Jordan eliminate the Jewish refugees who have fled from southern Israel into the mountainous wilderness of western Jordan.

Do unto others as you have done unto them before!

Psalm 83:9 Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison: 10 Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth. 11 Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna: 12 Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession. 13 O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind. 14 As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire; 15 So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm. 16 Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD. 17 Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish: 18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.

The verses above describe armies destroyed by Israel while led by Gideon (Judges 4 & 8). The bloodshed of these battles starts in the valley of Megiddo and ends in western Jordan.

Psalm 83 describes a treaty to eliminate the Judean refugees. Jesus Christ will personally pour out his wrath on Jordan’s armies. He will save the Jewish people who are hiding in the mountainous region of western Jordan.

[important]The Psalm 83 war is not the next prophetic event on the end time calendar. The invasion of Syria’s northwestern cities and the Destruction of Damascus by Turkey is the next event to look for. After Turkey destroys Damascus then they will lead the forces that are now fighting in Syria into Israel. Read my commentaries The nations are disquieted over Syria and Magog Made Easy.[/important]

The next step is the Turkish Army as they fight in Hamah, Syria

    By Craig C. White

The Turkish Army has entered northern Syria. Jeremiah 49:23 lists the two northwestern cities of Hamah and Tell Rifaat. After they hear “evil reports” then the residents of Damascus will flee and Damascus will be destroyed.

Jeremiah 49:23 Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.

After the destruction of Damascus I think that Turkey will lead the forces that are now fighting in Syria into the Golan Heights of northern Israel (Eze 38). I suspect that Jesus Christ will return to turn back the Turkish led invasion into Israel. I think that the Resurrection and Rapture will happen at that time!

In the next verse Bashan, Carmel, and Lebanon describe the Golan Heights, Northern Israel, and southern Lebanon. This seems to describe Jesus as he passes above the Turkish led invaders as they enter northern Israel.

Nahum 1:3-7 The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet. 4 He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth. 5 The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein. 6 Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him. 7 The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.

Tell Rifaat is the key Kurdish held city in the Afrin region of northern Syria. The Turkish Army is targeting the Afrin region now. The Syrian government is preparing to attack the Turkish Army in Idlib. Turkey is threatening to attack the Syrian Army in Hamah. For Jeremiah’s prophecy to unfold we need to see the Turkish Army move towards Hamah in order to fight the Syrian Army there.
