Who is fighting in Syria? – Map: It seems that Turkey, the Muslim Brotherhood, and the U.S. want Syria’s President Bashar Assad gone! This is a further effort to unite the Middle East under the extreme Islamist Muslim Brotherhood’s mantle! We have all been told that Syrian citizens are rising up against President Assad. Not true! The rebels call themselves “The Free Syrian Army”. They consist mostly of Libyan jihadists fighting under Turkish leadership on the field. Their General is Libyan. The “Free Syrian Army” is supported by the Muslim Brotherhood.

Iran and Sudan are represented in Syria by Hezbollah militia. Hezbollah is pro-Assad and is fighting against “The Free Syrian Army”. Lebanon is also pro-Assad and is acting as a base of operations for the Hezbollah militia.

Turkey has the real military power in this fight. Jeremiah 49 predicts the destruction of Damascus, Syria’s capital city. I think that Turkey will eventually invade Syria and destroy Damascus.

All of the nations mentioned in Ezekiel 38:5 are now fighting in Syria. Ezekiel 38 tells us about an invasion into Israel led by Turkey. This invasion is referred to as the battle of Gog and Magog. Gog is Turkey. Magog is its ruler. Also Isaiah chapter 10 tells us about a future leader who will invade Syria and then Invade Israel just like the ancient Assyrians did in 700 BC. This leader is called “The Assyrian” in Isaiah chapter 10. I think that after Turkey destroys Damascus they will lead all of the armies listed in Ezekiel 38:5 (Iran, Libya, and Sudan) in an invasion into Israel.

The Turkish led invasion into Israel called the battle of Gog and Magog in Ezekiel chapter 38 is the major prophetic event of the pre-Tribulation period. It Identifies “The Assyrian” and sets end time events into hyper-drive!

  1. I believe that your article fails to highlight that much of the rebels fighting in syria are also affiliates of al qaeda which is being funded directly by saudi arabia and qatar. Whats even more disturbing is that these rebels (Who are being armed by western countries) are murdering syrias Christians and destroying thousand year old churches. Under assads government this didnt happen. All religions coexisted in syria. Furthermore, western media tried so hard to start a war based on the false pretext of chemical weapons used by assads army. Russia has proof that the rebels launched the CW attack using CW provided by the Saudis. One needs to ask why all of a sudden is saudi arabia, turkey, the USA and UK committed to destroying Assad? If this is part of bible prphecy it is also showing that our very governments are not the ‘good guys’ we are told to believe they are and that we are close to a new world order…

    1. Hi Denis: I completely agree with you. Today Assad is in fact the “good guy”. He has NOT used chemical weapons. He is defending the sovereignty of his nation. The side that the US supports has used chemical weapons. They used them to gain political advantage. No matter which rebel band you look at in Syria you will find Al-Qaeda. The US supports the Libyan Al-Qaeda because they will be the easiest to control after the fighting stops.

I want to clearly show that every nation listed in Ezekiel 38 is now fighting in Syria! After Turkey invades Syria and destroys its capital city of Damascus, then Turkey will lead Libya, Iran, and Sudan into Israel.

Ezekiel 38:5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:

  2. I am a student of bible prophecy. I know some believe the invasion of Israel led by “Gog, of the land of Magog” occurs in the first three and one-half years of the tribulation or even before the tribulation. Waleid Shoebat seems to think it is synonymous with the invasion of the nations at Armageddon. I know when Gog attacks, Israel will be dwelling in peace, safety and security. I have always thought this would be the result of the covenant between the Antichrist and Israel, which is why I believed it would happen during the first three and one-half years. However, Ezekiel says that the prophets have made reference to “Gog” in their prophecies, which leads one to think Gog could be the Antichrist, since the prophets had much to say about Antichrist. If Gog were the Antichrist, would it be possible that Ezekiel 38-39 events could be played out over the course of the last three and one-half years? As you see the entire invading horde destroyed on the mountains of Israel, God makes His name known in the eyes of the nations, Israel will know He is the Lord God from that day forward, the nations will know why God drove the Jews throughout the nations of the world (because of their disobedience), and chapter 39 concludes with God having mercy upon the whole house of Israel and pouring His Spirit out upon them. We know the pouring out of HIs Spirit upon them happens, in fulfillment of Zechariah 12:10 and 13:1, at the return of the Lord at Armageddon. So,once again, could it be possible that Gog is the Antichrist, leads his armies through Israel and into North Africa, hears rumors from the east and north that trouble him, he returns and sets up his headquarters at Jerusalem at which time the horrendous events of the last three and one-half years begin to take place. Is it possible that all of the death and destruction that takes place in Ezekiel 38-39 happens towards the end of the tribulation when all of the nations gather against Jerusalem to battle? As far as burying the dead for seven months and burning the weapons of war for seven years, could that not go on into the millenium? If the invasion were to happen before the tribulation or before the mid point of the tribulation, that would mean the forces of Libya, Sudan, Iran, Turkey and possibly Syria would have been decimated. Who then, would be left to come against Israel from the surrounding nations at Armageddon? I suppose Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Lebanon, Gaza. Egypt will have been decimated by the Antichrist, so her military will not be a factor. I’m just thinking on email here. I don’t know if you respond to emails or not; know you are busy, so don’t worry about it if you can’t. Thanks

    1. Hi Tom. You understand bible prophecy better than many. You are debating between pre tribulation and end tribulation timelines for the events of Ezekiel 38 and 39. That is very astute! I think that both scenarios are correct because Ezekiel 39 describes a early tribulation battle and Ezekiel 39 describes another end of tribulation period battle. Both led by Turkey!
