Turkey-Israeli reconciliation agreement
Will it have a seven year term?
By Craig C. White
The Turkey-Israeli reconciliation agreement mainly consists of a twenty-one million dollar reparation payment by Israel to Turkey for the deaths of nine pro-Palestinian activists aboard the Gaza-bound flotilla of ships in May 2010. It was thought that the flotilla may be carrying weapons slated for Hamas. Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan instigated the shipment as a means to incite Israel to an act of war. Along with the payment Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan has demanded a formal apology.
After the incident the two countries closed each other’s embassies. The reconciliation agreement also includes plans to reopen the embassies. The agreement would also allow Turkey to make limited shipments to Gaza.
Israel tentatively says that they are close to finalizing the agreement but no date has been set.
I don’t see this agreement specifically described in bible prophecy unless of course it contains a seven year term. Then this agreement could very well be the seven year long treaty that many believe marks the beginning of the seven year tribulation period.
Dan 9:27And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
Considering the current state of prophetic events such as the seemingly near assault on Damascus (Jer 49:23-27), Egyptian fighting Egyptian (Isaiah 19:2), and the current hard press for the Israeli-Palestinian “Two state solution”; the Turkey-Israeli reconciliation agreement is worth watching.

It could serve as a door opening prelude to the more important 7 year treaty.
