The hired shepherd

John 10:11-13

Did you know that the verse below is prophetic (John 10:11-13)? During the tribulation Israel will be turned over to others to protect them. A leader will be hired to oversee the security of Israel. He is called the “hired shepherd”. He will not care for the people because they are not his. The people will reject him. The Hired Shepherd may or may not be the Antichrist. The Antichrist will enforce a security agreement upon Israel (Dan 9:27). It may be that another will be hired to administer it. Also Israel’s own leaders will allow this to happen (Eze 34:2). God will raise one leader in particular who will sell his people for his own profit. He is Israeli. He is called the idol shepherd in Zec 11:16-17. The Idol Shepherd is a leader who does not care for his sheepfold. The sheepfold is Israel. Jesus is their true shepherd. At the end of the tribulation he will call them home.
John 10:11-13 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. 12 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. 13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.
The hired shepherd is non Israeli. He is not to be confused with the idol shepherd. The idol shepherd is Israeli. I think that both of these leaders will rule at the same time. The hired shepherd may be the Antichrist or another non Jewish leader. Or the hired shepherd may be a US leader promising security in Israel. The Antichrist will enforce a security agreement upon Israel (Dan 9:27). It is high time to awake and watch for leaders in Israel who will turn their nation’s security over to a hireling!
Palestinian peace negotiators want Israel to remove their military. The US military may become “peace keepers” in Israel. It seems to me that US Secretary of State John Kerry is playing the role of the hired shepherd today.
