Jesus will come in a whirlwind

By Craig C. White

If Jesus comes to earth in a furious whirlwind to judge Israel’s enemies at the end of the seven year long Tribulation period then what will he look like when he comes at the Rapture? He will also come in a whirlwind. That’s just the way he rolls!

1Th 4:16-18 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Just like Jesus was represented by the cloud above the tabernacle that led the Hebrews during their exodus out of Egypt; Jesus will show up in the air in a cloud at the Rapture. The cloud that hovered above the tabernacle and latter over the temple can be described as a whirlwind or tornado. Elijah was raptured. He was taken away in a whirlwind or tornado (2Ki 2:1). When God the son is present he is often represented by a whirlwind.

Job 38:1 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,

Eze 1:4 And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.

Psa 58:9 Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in his wrath.

The sign of God the son is a whirlwind sometimes described simply as clouds!
