Aleppo in Bible prophecy
Aleppo in Bible prophecy
Hamah and Arpad will hear reports about a coming invasion.
By Craig C. White
The Syrian Army has just rid Aleppo of Al-Qaeda rebels. Syria has now regained control of its largest city but it won’t make any difference. When Damascus is conquered then Syria will fall into the hands of its enemies. The Bible tells us that the Turkish Army will enter Syria near Hamah and Aleppo and then along with the Free Syrian Army (Al-Qaeda) will march southward to destroy Damascus. Do you want to know about Aleppo in Bible prophecy? The Prophet Jeremiah tells us about some end time events that happen in and around Aleppo.
The Prophet Jeremiah gives us a prediction about the destruction of Damascus, Syria. Along with Damascus, Jeremiah also mentions two other Syrian cities. They are Hamath and Arpad (or modern day Tell Rifaat). Turkey is targeting both of these areas today! The Syrian Army has just taken control over more territory north of Hamah. The Kurds have recently taken control over Tell Rifaat north of Aleppo. Turkey is against both of them. Turkey has just cleared Kurdish forces from the Syrian border from Azaz eastward to Jarablus. Now Turkey has stated that they want to attack Hamah and Tell Rifaat. If Turkey enters Syria at Hamah and Tell Rifaat then they are on their way to Damascus!
Jeremiah 49:23 Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.
In the verse above, Jeremiah mentions two cities; Hamath and Arpad. Both of these cities are located in northwestern Syria. Today Hamah is Syria’s fourth largest city with a population of around one million. Hamah is in the Hama Governorate of Syria. Hamah is south of Arpad but both cities are close to the Turkish border. Arpad is the modern day town of Tell Rifaat just to the north of Aleppo. The city of Tell Rifaat is in the Aleppo Governorate of Syria.
What Jeremiah is trying to tell us is that the two large Syrian cities of Hamah and Aleppo along with the towns north of Aleppo will hear reports of a gathering invasion from the nearby Turkish border! Hamah and Aleppo’s northern neighbors are fearful that they may be attacked.
Today Al-Qaeda rebels are assaulting Aleppo. Aleppo is Syria’s largest city. Turkey is moving more heavy arms and troops to the Syrian border near Aleppo.

Turkish President Erdogan wants to invade Syria. Erdogan has three goals. 1) To remove Assad from power. 2) To ensure that the Kurds don’t form a state in northern Syria. 3) To ensure that ISIS doesn’t gain too much control over a vanquished Syria. Erdogan’s ultimate goal is to install Muslim Brotherhood leadership in Syria and then to form a four nation confederacy with Turkey, Syria, Iraq, and Iran. These nations will together conquer most of the Middle East!
Since March 2015 Turkey has been amassing enormous stockpiles of heavy weapons. These weapons were meant to be given to the Free Syrian Army fighting against Syrian President Assad. It seems that some of these weapons were also meant for the Turkish Army to use as they invade Syria.
Reports were leaked that the Free Syrian Army intended to use the weapons to attack Syria’s larger cities like Hamah and Aleppo. As a matter of fact beginning in early July 2015 the Free Syrian Army launched their biggest attack yet on Aleppo.
Note: Don’t let the name “Free Syrian Army” fool you. The Free Syrian Army was born in Libya and consists of Al-Qaeda soldiers from Libya. You won’t find one single “Syrian” brigade among them.
The Free Syrian Army is fighting on behalf of the Muslim Brotherhood and also on behalf of Turkish President Erdogan. If the Free Syrian Army is able to take over Aleppo then the Turkish Army won’t have to. But there is a problem. While Al-Qaeda from Libya (aka the Free Syrian Army) is attempting to overthrow Aleppo, ISIS and the Kurds have succeeded in gaining control of several towns just to the north of Aleppo. This is a problem for Turkish President Erdogan in two ways. First he doesn’t want ISIS or the Kurds to create their own State in Syria because Erdogan knows that whoever controls Syria also controls the new Islamic Caliphate. The other problem is that ISIS and the Kurds are taking control of the region between Turkey and Syria’s larger cities. They have cut off the supply route between Turkey and the Free Syrian Army fighting against Aleppo. They are also blocking the route for a Turkish attack on Hamah, Aleppo, and most importantly Damascus!
Jeremiah identifies the town of Arpad (or modern day Tell Rifaat) located just to the north of Aleppo. Now that the Kurds have taken control of Tell Rifaat and several other towns to the north of Aleppo, the Turkish Army will be forced to engage them there before they can support or supply the Free Syrian Army in their fight against Aleppo. The Turkish Army will also be forced to deal with ISIS camped north of Aleppo before they can continue southwards towards Damascus. The presence of ISIS and the Kurds in the region north of Aleppo practically guarantees that the Turkish Army will have to enter Syria.
Turkey now has a stockpile of weapons and Turkish President Erdogan wants to invade Syria. Erdogan said that when he invades Syria he won’t do it halfway. The ultimate goal is to remove Syrian President Assad from power in Damascus. Hamah and Tell Rifaat will hear reports of an invasion. These cities are along the path of an invasion launched from Turkey headed towards Damascus.
Jeremiah 49:24-25 Damascus is waxed feeble, and turneth herself to flee, and fear hath seized on her: anguish and sorrows have taken her, as a woman in travail. 25 How is the city of praise not left, the city of my joy!
According to Jeremiah the two Syrian cities of Hamah and Tell Rifaat will hear reports about a coming invasion. The inhabitants of Damascus will flee the city, and then Damascus will be destroyed.
EXTRA EXTRA Sept 24, 2016: The Turkish Army along with Turkey supported Al-Qaeda rebels have already cleared Kurdish fighters from the area between Azaz and Jarablus in Syria. The town of Azaz is located just to the north of Tell Rifaat in northwestern Syria. A couple of months ago Kurdish forces gained control over Tell Rifaat. Turkey’s next stated targets are Hamah and Tell Rifaat. These are the same two cities that Jeremiah 49:23 identifies. The modern day town of Tell Rifaat is ancient Arpad.
Jeremiah 49:23 Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.
Since the Kurds are also viewed as enemies of the Syrian state; Turkey has now gained Russia’s approval to enter Syria specifically at Hamah and Tell Rifaat. We are on the threshold of Jeremiah’s prophecy. According to Jeremiah shortly after the Turkish Army enters Syria in force at Hamah and Tell Rifaat the residents of Damascus will flee the city and Damascus will be destroyed.

Mosul weather report
Mosul weather report
Rain in a dry place
By Craig C. White
Everybody likes to check the weather report occasionally. I suppose that even an ISIS rebel wants to know what the day will be like as he threatens the local populous. ISIS is headquartered in the city of Mosul in northern Iraq. Here is an actual Mosul weather report. Click it to make it larger.
It is summer in Mosul and as you can see the forecast is sunny and hot. There isn’t any rain in the forecast at all. As a matter of fact there isn’t even any moisture in the air. The relative humidity is often below 10%. That is extremely dry! This is a typical forecast for Mosul during the summer months. During the summer the chance of rain is 0% in Mosul.Wouldn’t it be nice if God sent just a little bit of rain on ISIS to help curtail their wicked activities? What’s that you say? Are you telling me that you don’t believe that God controls the weather? Well one hot dry day long ago in the same place where Mosul sits today God did control the weather. On a day when there shouldn’t have been any rain at all. In a place where it never rains; God sent rain!
Today Mosul sits on the Tigris River in the same place that the ancient city of Nineveh sat. In 612 BC God sent a torrential downpour upon the city of Nineveh. The rain overflowed the banks of the Tigris River flooding the city. The city was then ransacked by its enemies.
Nahum 1:8 But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies.
The Prophet Nahum foretold the flooding of Nineveh. Nahum may also have predicted the future flooding of Mosul! Today the Mosul Dam is in danger of failing. If the dam burst then Mosul would be covered by sixty feet of water. Perhaps God will send another torrential rain to destroy ISIS in Mosul. Perhaps God will once again make it rain in a dry place just so we all know for certain that he did it!

Signs of the End Times
Signs of the End Times
The Resurrection and Rapture, and the Tribulation is coming!
By Craig C. White
Welcome to the end times. You’re late! Just to be certain that we are all aware; the Antichrist is now identifiable. The one sign that Jesus will give to Israel that proves he is truly their God is set to happen any day. Jesus Christ is about to come with a trumpet call to raise the dead and to take away Christians. Jesus is coming. Not in five years but very very soon!
There is a terrible time of trouble coming on the earth. The bible calls this seven year long period the Tribulation. The Tribulation period was designed by God to chastise the nation of Israel for their rebellion. During the Tribulation Israel will be overrun by its enemies. Many Jews will be killed or captured, and many others will flee to the Jordanian wilderness for refuge. Jerusalem will suffer the worst. At the end of the Tribulation period Israel will remember that their God is faithful. The God of Israel will never leave them or forsake them. He will be their God forever.
The Tribulation period is also a time when God will judge the nations. It is a time of terrible wars, massive earthquakes, raging seas, drought, starvation, and tremendous numbers of deaths, great darkness, and much more. Luckily God has made a way for individuals to escape from suffering through the Tribulation period.
The Apostle Paul told the Christians in Greece that they would be taken away to heaven before the Tribulation period began on earth (2Thesalonians 2). This is known as the Rapture of the Church. Paul told the early Christians that the Tribulation couldn’t begin until Satan fell from heaven and then empowered a man on earth called the Antichrist. The Antichrist would rule over the next world empire and torment the nation of Israel. Paul said that before the Tribulation began the Antichrist would be revealed on earth. Before the Tribulation began believers in Jesus Christ would be taken away up into heaven. So identifying the man who will be the Antichrist would be the end times sign that the Rapture is about to happen!
How will we be able to identify the man known as the Antichrist? There are several specific things that the bible tells us to look for. One of the most obvious signs is that he will claim to be God. Today I know of one world leader who is claiming to be God. Turkish President Erdogan along with his supporters has now officially declared that Erdogan is God. As a matter of fact if you drive down the streets of Turkey you will see giant banners inviting you to join in the celebration of Erdogan’s holy birthday! The Turkish people now sing a song that claims that “Erdogan always gets his power from Allah!” But wait, there are several more end times signs that Turkish President Erdogan fulfills!
In Ezekiel chapter 38 and 39 we are told of two invasions into Israel led by the “chief prince” or primary governor of Turkey. President Erdogan fulfills that description. He was elected as President of Turkey in December 2014 and served as Prime Minister before that since 2002.
The bible says that the Antichrist will appear with lying wonders. That means that he will appear to do miracles but they won’t be legitimate. Turkish President Erdogan has performed fake healings during campaign rallies. The bible also tells us about an image that speaks. Erdogan recently gave a speech to his supporters as a nine foot tall hologram. No kidding.
The Antichrist will rule over the next World Empire and attack Jerusalem. Erdogan has vowed to do both of these things. His supporters say that Turkey is the only legitimate head of the next Islamic Caliphate.
Another thing that the Antichrist will do is to invade Syria and destroy its capital city of Damascus. He will then lead his troops into Israel. Erdogan has already vowed to overthrow Syrian President Assad in Damascus. Also every nation that Ezekiel 38:5 says will invade Israel is now fighting in Syria! I don’t know if these invasions will happen before the Rapture or before the Tribulation but if we do see Turkey invade Syria then we ought to be absolutely certain that Erdogan is the Antichrist. And if he is indeed the Antichrist then we can be certain that the Rapture and the Tribulation are about to happen!
During the Tribulation God will raise up a rotten ruler in Israel. The Prophet Zechariah calls him the idol shepherd. We have all probably been comforted by the reelection of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu but I am afraid that Netanyahu will not hold onto his authority for very long. World powers like the United States, United Nations, France, and others have all shifted into high gear to create a Palestinian State inside of Israel without Prime Minister Netanyahu’s consent. There now exists a worldwide movement to get rid of Benjamin Netanyahu. A rotten Israeli ruler is another sign of the end times.
There is yet another sign during the end times. It is a sign to the nation of Israel that Jesus Christ is truly their God. It is also a warning to Israel that their time of Tribulation is about to begin. This sign is the flooding of Mosul in northern Iraq and the plundering of the city by its enemies. The Prophet Nahum tells us all about it, and the news says that the Mosul dam is feeble. So keep your eyes on Mosul!
The Tribulation is a terrible time of trouble on earth. You don’t want to suffer through it. All signs point towards its soon beginning. Call on the Lord Jesus Christ while you still can and be saved from your sins and escape the seven year long Tribulation period on earth.

Princes of Turkey!
Princes of Turkey!
Most prominent amongst his brothers.
Ezekiel 38: 1-3
By Craig C. White
I know that most Bible prophecy teachers say that Magog in the Ezekiel 38 refers to Russia. But it is High Time to recognize that Magog is not Russia! That view came about by transcribing “chief” (or the Hebrew “rosh”) to mean Russia (Eze 38:1-3). Transposing Hebrew words into English phonetic equivalents is not proper Bible prophecy interpretation technique. That technique is not used elsewhere to interpret Bible prophecy. Rosh means first or primary.
Magog is mentioned in the genealogies of Genesis 10 as well as 1Chronicles 1. Magog is mentioned alongside of his brothers Meshech, Tubal, and Gomer, plus a few more. It is interesting to note that most Bible prophecy teachers place Tubal, Gomer, Togarmah, and Meshech in today’s Turkey.
Magog, Meshech, Tubal, Gomer, and Togarmah are all people. As a matter of fact they are relatives. Magog, Meshech, Tubal and Gomer are brothers. Togarmah is Gomer’s son. They are among the first families to resettle the world after the devastation of Noah’s flood.
Gen 10:1-3 Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood. 2 The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras. 3 And the sons of Gomer; Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
Magog, Meshech, Tubal, and Gomer are also sons of Japheth. Japheth and his sons all settled in today’s Turkey. You could call Japheth the King of Turkey. His sons are all Princes. Magog was the chief or most prominent Prince amongst his brothers. Princes were set over provinces.
Eze 38:1-3 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief Prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, 3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief Prince of Meshech and Tubal:
Now let’s allow the Bible to interpret the Bible. The theme of Princes settling and ruling over Provinces in a land is used in many other places in the Bible. The Princes of Israel are mentioned a bunch of times. Princes of other nations are also mentioned (1Sam 29:3, 2Sam 10:3, Esther 1:3, Esther 1:14, Psa 68:31, Psa 83:11, Isa 19:11, Isa 23:8, Isa 49:7, Jer 25:19, Jer 38:18, Eze 26:16, Eze 27:21, Dan 3:3, Mat 20:25, 1Co 2:6, plus many other verses). Princes typically refer to the sons of rulers. Here is an example of how princes were typically set over provinces in other countries.
Esther 1:14And the next unto him was Carshena, Shethar, Admatha, Tarshish, Meres, Marsena, and Memucan, the seven Princes of Persia and Media, which saw the king’s face, and which sat the first in the kingdom;)
So Magog was the son of Japheth. Japheth was the king of what we know as Turkey today. Magog and his brothers ruled over different provinces in the land we call Turkey today. Magog was the chief Prince of Meshech and Tubal. In other words, Magog was the most prominent Prince amongst his brothers. Remember that Meshech and Tubal settled in today’s Turkey. In prophetic terms Magog is the primary governor of Turkey. I would call him the Prime Minister. Today Turkey’s ex-Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is the prime candidate to fulfill the end time role of Magog the primary governor of Turkey.

Yazidis stuck on the Sinjar Mountains
Yazidis stuck on the Sinjar Mountains
ISIS may soon trade places with the Yazidis!
By Craig C. White
Remember all of those news reports about the refugees fleeing from ISIS into the mountains of northern Iraq? Well those people have been stuck in those mountains for the past seven months. ISIS invaded the northern Iraqi town of Sinjar driving many of its citizens out and up the Sinjar Mountain just to the north of the town. Sinjar is a town in the Nineveh Province of northern Iraq with a population of about 80,000. Sinjar is about a two hour drive from the city of Mosul. Mosul is the headquarters of ISIS in northern Iraq. We haven’t heard much about these refugees since ISIS drove them into the mountains.
The refugees belong to a religious sect called the Yazidis. The Yazidis’ religion combines Zoroastrian, Islamic, Christian, and Jewish components. They consider themselves separate from every other religion and society. The Yazidis were a minority religious group living in the town of Sinjar.
The Yazidis have struggled to survive on the mountain for the past three months. Thousands have been killed or captured by ISIS fighters. The US has conducted some food airdrops, but the Iraqi Kurds have been the Yazidis’ greatest help. The Kurds have battled ISIS troops to clear a supply route up the northern side of the mountain. Lately the Kurds have taken back much of the city of Sinjar from ISIS. There is some optimism that the Yazidis may soon be able to come down off of the mountain and return to their homes in Sinjar.
The Yazidis have been stuck living on the mountain for seven months. They have received a little help from the US and a little more from the Kurds. ISIS may soon trade places with the Yazidis on top of the Sinjar Mountain. The bible tells us that ISIS may be driven up those mountains where they will receive no help from anybody.
Today the city of Mosul sits in the same place where the ancient city of Nineveh sat. The Prophet Nahum predicts the flooding of Nineveh. He says that the Tigris River will overflow destroying the city! The Prophet Nahum may also predict the flooding of the modern day city of Mosul!
Nahum 2:6 The gates of the rivers shall be opened, and the palace shall be dissolved.
The refugees of ancient Nineveh fled to the mountains. ISIS in Mosul may also be forced to flee to those same mountains.
Nahum 3:18-19 Thy shepherds slumber, O king of Assyria: thy nobles shall dwell in the dust: thy people is scattered upon the mountains, and no man gathereth them.
When they were stuck on the mountain the Yazidis received some mercy and help from the world’s citizens. When ISIS is at last trapped on the mountain nobody will try to rescue them or to help them at all.

The flooding of Mosul – The sign of Israel’s trouble
The flooding of Mosul – The sign of Israel’s trouble
By Craig C. White
The book of Nahum is all about the destruction of the ancient city of Nineveh. God destroyed the city with a flood and then it was ransacked for two months. Today the ruins of Nineveh lie within the city limits of Mosul.
Nahum 1:8 But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies.
Conditions in Mosul are the same as they were in ancient Nineveh. The same three armies are set against it. The Mosul dam is in danger of bursting. Nahum likely also foretells the flooding and plundering of Mosul. The destruction of Mosul could be the end time sign to Israel that Jesus is in fact the true God of Israel and that their time of trouble is at hand. The destruction of Mosul could also be the sign to the unbelieving world that God is about to judge them.
The unbelieving religious rulers in Jerusalem demanded a sign from Jesus. Jesus told them that they would not be be given a sign except for the sign of Jonah. Jonah was sent to ancient Nineveh to tell them to repent because God’s judgment was coming on the city.
Matthew 12:38-39 Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee. 39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:
Perhaps some of the nation of Israel will repent when they remember the preaching of Jonah when Mosul is flooded! They will narrowly escape God’s coming judgement on the city of Jerusalem and upon the nation of Israel.

The Mosul countdown
The Mosul countdown
Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown
By Craig C. White
The battle to retake Mosul in northern Iraq began on October 17, 2016. For some reason news organizations all over the world are keeping track of the number of days that the battle continues. I find that to be curious. Today the battle for Mosul is in its 34th day. Believe it or not Mosul is mentioned in the Bible. Mosul is the ancient Assyrian capital city of Nineveh. When I hear the Mosul countdown I am reminded of the Prophet Jonah’s message to Nineveh; “Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown” (Jonah 3:4). I’ll bet that many people in Nineveh were keeping track of their countdown to destruction. The people in Nineveh listened to Jonah’s message and the city was spared. But a couple of hundred years latter the Prophet Nahum predicted that Nineveh would finally be destroyed.
The Prophet Nahum predicted that a flood of water would destroy the Assyrian capital city of Nineveh. Nineveh was flooded in 612 BC just as Nahum predicted. Nahum said that God would flood “the place” where Nineveh was built. Today Mosul is built in the same place. Nahum said that the Assyrian Empire would not rise a second time. Today ISIS is trying to establish a new Assyrian Empire. According to Nahum, that will not happen. Nahum doesn’t specifically say that Mosul will be destroyed by a flood during the end time but God put an end to the Assyrian Empire long ago with a flood. Since the Assyrian Empire is raising its head once again it seems fitting that God would send another flood to knock it down. Add to Nahum’s prophecy the fact that today the Mosul dam is in danger of bursting. Conditions in Mosul today match Nahum’s prophecy so it bears watching.
Since we are talking about the ancient city of Nineveh and the Prophet Jonah, I can’t help but remember Jesus Christ’s promise to give one sign to Israel that would prove that he was truly their Messiah. Jesus would give them the sign of Jonah.
Matthew 12:38-41 Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee. 39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: 40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. 41 The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.
Jesus rose from the grave on the third day. The power of a resurrected life certainly is proof that Jesus is God. But there may be more to the sign of Jonah. Notice in verse 41 that the men of Nineveh repented at the preaching of Jonah. They did not repent at the miracle of surviving in a large fish for three days. I suspect that the flooding of Mosul may be the one end time sign to Israel that Jesus is truly their Messiah. Remembering Jonah’s message may be Israel’s last chance to repent before their time of tribulation begins.
I suspect that ISIS in Mosul will be wiped out by a flood of water. Then just like the destruction of Nineveh in 612 BC, three nations will fight against Mosul. Iraq, Iran, and the Kurds are all fighting on the outskirts of Mosul today. These are the same three nations that plundered Nineveh after the flood in 612 BC. If we follow the Mosul countdown then the flooding of Mosul could happen this week on Friday the 25th of November, 2016.

Rebels break ceasefire
By Craig C. White
Over the past few weeks the Syrian Army has been fighting a major offensive in northern Hamah, Syria. Almost nobody is reporting this. The Syrian Army has made advances against the Turkish backed Al-Qaeda rebels. Now the rebels have broken the ceasefire. Hamah is the place to watch.
Jeremiah 49:23-27 describes an invasion first coming to the northwestern Syrian cities of Hamah and Arpad (or modern day Tell Rifaat). Both of these cities are located very near to the Turkish border. After these cities hear about the coming invasion then the residents of Damascus flee and Damascus is destroyed. These are the actions of the Antichrist.
Jeremiah 49:23 Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.
Turkey has already announced their plans to attack Aleppo next. The Syrian Army’s success in northern Hamah could be the excuse that the Turkish Army needs to finally launch their full scale attack on Hamah and Tell-Rifaat located just north of Aleppo.

Iraqi forces prepare to retake Mosul from ISIS
Iraqi forces prepare to retake Mosul from ISIS
The Bible predicts the flooding of Mosul.
By Craig C. White
The Iraqi army along with some help from Iran and the Kurds are preparing to retake the city of Mosul in northern Iraq from ISIS. US President Obama expects Mosul to fall by the end of 2016.
The book of Nahum is all about the destruction of the ancient city of Nineveh. God destroyed Nineveh with a flood along with three plundering armies. The modern day city of Mosul in northern Iraq is Nineveh. As a matter of fact the ruins of Nineveh lay within the city limits of Mosul! The prophet Nahum said that God would flood the place where Nineveh was built. Both cities were built in the same place. Therefore the book of Nahum describes the destruction of ancient Nineveh and it also very probably describes the present day destruction of Mosul! The city of Mosul in northern Iraq is the hometown and headquarters of ISIS. The same three armies that plundered Nineveh are now attacking ISIS in Mosul. God will soon destroy Mosul with a flood then the city will be plundered by Iraq, Iran, and the Kurds. This all happened in 612 BC. It is about to happen again!
By the way, the Mosul dam is in danger of bursting. The spring rains will stress the dam even more. The US Army corps of Engineers say that If the dam breaks it would send a 70 foot high wave of water over the city. The destruction of Mosul may be the end time sign to Israel that Jesus Christ is truly their Messiah. It may also be the last warning to Israel that their time of trouble is at hand.
