    Ottoman Creep

    Ottoman Creep

    By Craig C. White

In 1918 the last Ottoman soldiers marched out of Damascus. Today in 2018 Turkish soldiers are back inside of Syria. Turkish President Erdogan is the widely recognized rightful Sultan of a revived Islamic Caliphate. Erdogan has freely shared his ambitions of reconstituting the lands of the Turkish ruled Ottoman Empire beginning with Syria.

The Bible tells us that the last world empire would be reestablished and that it would sorely oppress Israel. We are witnessing the birth-pangs of a revived Ottoman Empire.

Revelation 17:10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. 11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.

There were five past world empires when the Apostle John wrote the book of Revelation. Rome was the current world empire making six. The Turkish ruled Ottoman Empire was the next and only world empire to follow making seven. The eighth world empire will be a revived Ottoman Empire. That means that we should expect a Turkish ruler to be the Antichrist.

Yes the Turkish Army is in northwestern Syria but that isn’t all. Turkey is building roads and mosques in northwestern Syria and teaching the Turkish language in public schools. Turkey is providing electric power to some areas and revamping local governments. Northwestern Syria is becoming Turkish. The “Turkifcation” of northern Syria is also referred to as “Ottoman creep”

The Ottoman Empire is also creeping elsewhere. Turkish President Erdogan has vowed to take control over even more territory in northeastern Syria all the way into northern Iraq. This is generally Kurdish and ISIS territory. The Turks are dead set against allowing Kurdish forces to occupy territory along the Turkish border. Turkey has a somewhat willing accomplice in the Sunni Al-Qaeda ISIS rebels. I would expect Turkey to once again support ISIS against the Kurds in places like Kobani located to the east of the Euphrates River.

Let’s not forget Damascus. Turkish President Erdogan admitted that the “sole reason” why the Turkish Army has entered Syria is to remove Syrian President Assad from power in Damascus. This week Turkish President Erdoğan said it was impossible for Syrian peace efforts to continue with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in power.

You can stop wondering who will destroy Damascus. The destruction of Damascus is chronicled in Jeremiah 49:23-27. Turkey will attack Hamah and Tell Rifaat in northwestern Syria and then destroy Damascus.

Damascus is only thirty miles from the Israel border. This week Erdogan vowed to defend Jerusalem from Israeli ‘invaders’. This statement is not to be taken lightly. Turkey intends to creep all the way to Jerusalem.

Turkish President Erdogan has also demanded that land be returned to the Ottomans from eastern Greece and from Cypress. Erdogan has real plans to reinstate ousted Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi. Morsi was the Muslim Brotherhood Presidential candidate in Egypt. Turkey has already received an old Mediterranean Ottoman naval port from Sudan.

Turkish President Erdogan is reestablishing the Ottoman Empire beginning in Syria. This is the reestablished world empire that the Bible predicts. Turkey is planting their flag in northern Syria. Turkish President Erdogan is the recognized Sultan of a revived Turkish ruled Islamic Caliphate. Turkish President Erdogan is the Antichrist.

    The Last Jews in Jerusalem

    The Second Greatest Human Anguish

    Isaiah 26:1

    By Craig C. White

Note: Illustration is of a model of Herod’s Temple in the Israel Museum of Jerusalem. It may be that the next temple is Jerusalem’s last stronghold!

During the Great Tribulation a small band of Jews will be holed up on Mount Zion in Jerusalem. While most of their countrymen have been captured or killed; this small band will stand as the last beacon of hope that God will restore their city and nation. The armies of their enemies will finally flood into the city. As the last few remaining Jews in Jerusalem pray for deliverance they will look up and behold their God!

The greatest human anguish was Jesus’ cup of suffering and death on the cross. Before Jesus was taken prisoner he prayed.

Luk 22:41-44 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, 42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. 43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. 44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

Jesus was strengthened by an angel because he was in the form of frail humanity. The suffering before him no other person has ever born. Nor could any other person ever bear. Jesus was beaten so badly that he was not recognizable as a man (Isa 52:14). Then he was hung on a roman cross until he died, bearing God’s punishment for the sins of the world. On the road to Golgotha to be crucified he turned to the women by the way and told them not to weep for him, but to weep for the suffering that was to come upon them.

Luk 23:27-31 And there followed him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented him. 28 But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children. 29 For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck. 30 Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us. 31 For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?

There is a terrible time of judgment and suffering coming upon the land of Israel; more terrible than the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans in 70 A.D.; more terrible than the holocaust.

Mat 24:21-22 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.

The Tribulation begins in the whole land of Israel, it becomes Great Tribulation in the city of Jerusalem, it then culminates on Mount Zion. Two thirds of the people in all the land of Israel will die (Zec 13:8). Then half of the people in Jerusalem will be taken captive (Zec 14:2).

Zechariah 13:8-9 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. 9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.

Zec 14:1-2 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. 2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

Anyone who tries to flee Jerusalem will be captured (Isa 30:16). Then the residue of the city will huddle together on mount Zion (which is the hill of Ophel or the “City of David”) in Jerusalem and wait for their redeemer.

Isa 30:15-18 For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not. 16 But ye said, No; for we will flee upon horses; therefore shall ye flee: and, We will ride upon the swift; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift. 17 One thousand shall flee at the rebuke of one; at the rebuke of five shall ye flee: till ye be left as a beacon upon the top of a mountain, and as an ensign on an hill. 18 And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him. 19 For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee.

The debate continues about the origin and meaning of the name Jerusalem. The best deduction is that it means “fortress or stronghold of peace”. Mount Zion will be the last stronghold. When Jesus returns in power and glory Jerusalem will be the capital of peace throughout the world.

Isa 26:1 In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks.

The nations besiege the City of David where the last few people of Jerusalem are bunkered.

Isa 29:1-4 Woe to Ariel, to Ariel, the city where David dwelt! add ye year to year; let them kill sacrifices. 2 Yet I will distress Ariel, and there shall be heaviness and sorrow: and it shall be unto me as Ariel. 3 And I will camp against thee round about, and will lay siege against thee with a mount, and I will raise forts against thee. 4 And thou shalt be brought down, and shalt speak out of the ground, and thy speech shall be low out of the dust, and thy voice shall be, as of one that hath a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and thy speech shall whisper out of the dust.

Note: It may be that Israel’s next temple will be built in the City of David. It was where King David placed the ark of God in a tabernacle he prepared when he took it from the house of Obededom (2Sa 6:12-17).

They are in sore distress. What can they do? Here is God’s instruction.

Joel 2:12-17 Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: 13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil. 14 Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering unto the LORD your God? 15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly: 16 Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet. 17 Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?

God hears the supplications of those trapped on mount Zion. The residue of Jerusalem escapes through the new valley that Jesus makes in the Mount of Olives. God doesn’t only part seas. He is also able to split mountains.

Zec 14:3-5 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. 4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. 5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.

Azal is the wilderness east of the Mount of Olives where the azazel was released (Lev 16:8-27). The Hebrew word “azazel” is translated “scapegoat” in English. Azazel means “complete removal”. Just as Jesus Christ completely removed our sins by his death(Psa 103:12, Isa 43:25, Jer 31:34, Jer 50:20, Mic 7:18, 1Jo 1:7). Jesus now completely removes the residue in Jerusalem from harm.

Then Jesus “whom they have pierced” will destroy all the nations that have come against Jerusalem. The few remaining Jews in Jerusalem will see Jesus and mourn for their unbelief. They will turn to Jesus the Messiah.

Zec 12:9-10 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. 10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

The whole nation of Israel will see Jesus and believe. They will mourn for their rejection of him. Israel will never be in unbelief again forever. Glory to God!

Zechariah 12:11-14 In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon. 12 And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart; 13 The family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of Shimei apart, and their wives apart; 14 All the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.

Just as God will make a way of escape for the Jerusalem residue; God has provided two escapes for Israel before the time of Jacob’s trouble. The first is to turn to the Lord Jesus while it is called today”. This is explained in the book written to the Hebrews.

Heb 3:7-19 7 Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, 8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: 9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years. 10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways. 11 So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.) 12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. 13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; 15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. 16 For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. 17 But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness? 18 And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? 19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

The second way of escape is given only to those who are in Judaea. Flee to the mountains!

Mat 24:15-18 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) 16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: 17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: 18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

Luk 21:20-22 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. 21 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. 22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

In the wilderness of the mountains, Part of Israel will be nourished for three and a half years.

Rev 12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

Rev 12:14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

Here is my message to Israel. Escape this day of human anguish. My prayer for Israel, turn to Jesus the messiah while it is called today!

Very interesting to read and hard to stop. – Alexandria

    Hell in the Bible

Hell must be escaped by every person.

    by Craig C. White

Hell is a subject that receives little attention. I would say that most of us don’t understand it as fully as the Bible teaches. Hell is two places; one temporary grave for the wicked soul, and one everlasting harbor of torment for both body and soul. This commentary defines the words that express hell then describes their usage. Definitions are from Strong’s Hebrew Greek dictionary.

Sheol is the Hebrew word translated hell or grave or pit in the Old Testament.

    sheh-ole’, sheh-ole’

hades or the world of the dead (as if a subterranian retreat), including its accessories and inmates: – grave, hell, pit.

Sheol is a place where the unbelieving dead go until their final judgment. It is the local temporary jail as opposed to the longer term prison. Its root word means to demand or lay charge to. So each person in sheol has been charged as guilty and must make payment for their sins. The final sentencing will follow latter. Sheol is a place of fire. It is a place in the depths of the earth.

The fires of sheol will one day burn the earth along with everything on it (Mal 4:1-2, 2Pe 3:10).

Deu 32:22 For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.

Sheol is a place for the wicked.

Psa 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

Jesus went to sheol for you. Thankfully he didn’t stay there.

Psa 16:10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Earthly wealth will not endure sheol.

Psa 49:14-17 Like sheep they are laid in the grave; death shall feed on them; and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; and their beauty shall consume in the grave from their dwelling. 15 But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah. 16 Be not thou afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased; 17 For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him.

Every man must face sheol. God delivers the humble from its terror.

Psa 89:48 What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? Selah.

A prostitute will lead a man to sheol.

Pro 5:3-5 For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil: 4 But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a twoedged sword. 5 Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell.

There is plenty of room in sheol.

Pro 27:20 Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied.

The honor, wealth, and power of ungodly men will be swallowed by sheol.

Isa 5:14 Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.

Do you have an agreement with death and sheol? It is null and void!

Isa 28:18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.

    *******

Hades is a Greek word translated hell or grave in the New Testement.

    hah’-dace

unseen, that is, “Hades” or the place (state) of departed souls: – grave, hell.

Hades comes from two Greek words meaning not; and known, or understand, or beheld. It is the place where the souls of the dead cannot be seen by the living. It is used to describe sheol, the place of the wicked dead. Like sheol it is in the earth. While all people good and bad go to the grave, hades describes the unfortunate destination of the wicked.

Don’t worry too much about your present poverty. It isn’t your final state. Seek God and he will care for you. Below, the rich man looks up from Hades and is in torment. He isn’t just thirsty, he is burning in flame. Abraham’s bosom is the other side of the grave. It was God’s provision for the faithful in Old Testament times. Abraham’s bosom was under the earth but was carried away to heaven with Jesus at his resurrection (Psa 68:18, Eph 4:8-9). Today the believing soul is with Jesus in heaven (2Co 5:8).

Luk 16:22-24 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; 23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

Jesus has the keys to hades and death. He can deliver you from both.

Rev 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Hades is the temporary holding cell before an unbeliever’s final sentencing. Hades will be at last cast into the “lake of fire”.

Rev 20:12-15 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

    *******

Tartaroo is a Greek word that is used only once in the New Testament. It is translated as hell in English.

    tar-tar-o’-o

From Τάρταρος Tartaros̄ (the deepest abyss of Hades); to incarcerate in eternal torment: – cast down to hell.

Tartaroo also describes sheol or hades. It is in the earth and is a place of torment. Tartaroo holds a more severe definition than hades in that it describes its deepest darkest depths.

God incarcerated angels in tartaroo for their sin with man shortly after creation (Jud 1:6). These angels will be released on earth to torment the wicked during the seven years “Great Tribulation” (Rev 9:1-11).

    2Pe 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

    *******

Sheol, hades, and tartaroo are words describing the same place. There are also other words that describe this place. They are often expressed as pit in the Old and New Testament. Their definitions include hole (especially one used as a cistern or prison): – cistern, dungeon, fountain, pit, well, a pit (especially for catching animals), corruption, destruction, ditch, and grave. Bottomless pit is defined as the depthless abyss (Rev 9-11, Rev 11:7, Rev 17:8, and Rev 20:1-3).

The pit is a trap each person must escape. Actually the pit can not be escaped, it can only be avoided.

Isa 24:17 Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth.

Jesus will send the nations that are Israel’s enemies down to the pit at his coming. Notice that the pit is in the depths of the earth.

    Eze 26:20 When I shall bring thee down with them that descend into the pit, with the people of old time, and shall set thee in the low parts of the earth, in places desolate of old, with them that go down to the pit, that thou be not inhabited; and I shall set glory in the land of the living;

Jesus has the key to the bottomless pit (Rev 1:18). During the “Great Tribulation” he gives it to an angel to release fallen angels from hell to torment the wicked on earth (Rev 9:1-11).

Rev 9:1-2 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. 2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.

A beast in Bible prophecy is an ungodly gentile principality or empire. The next world empire will be a revived Roman empire. During the seven year tribulation period all world power will fall to one man; the Antichrist. So he will be the final beast (Rev 17:11). His spirit will ascend from the bottomless pit to wreak havoc on earth and then go to the eternal place of judgment.

Rev 17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

Satan will be cast into the bottomless pit for one thousand years (Rev 20:1-3). One thousand years is a long time but it isn’t forever. The bottomless pit is temporary.

Rev 20:3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

    *******

So far we have looked at the transitory holding cell of the wicked. Now we will look at the everlasting terminus.

Gehenna means valley of Hinnom. Hinnom was a Jebusite man. King David purchased the temple mount and hill of Ophel (City of David) from him. The Hinnom valley wraps around the bottom half of the city of Jerusalem. Hinnom is a Hebrew word. It is used 12 times in the New Testament in the Greek form Gehenna. It is translated into English as hell.

    gheh’-en-nah

Of Hebrew origin; valley of (the son of) Hinnom; gehenna (or Ge-Hinnom), a valley of Jerusalem, used (figuratively) as a name for the place (or state) of everlasting punishment: – hell.

Gehenna is different than sheol or hades. Gehenna is the final and everlasting place of punishment for those who reject God. It is a place of fire and decay. Both soul and body are cast into Gehenna. Gehenna is not in the earth. As a matter of fact I think Gehenna may be in heaven. Read my commentary titled “Map of Heaven”.

The valley of Hinnom was where the Hebrews sacrificed their children in the fire of false gods. In Jesus’ day it was a burning dump.

2Ch 33:6 And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.

Jesus gave the classic description of Gehenna, the final place of judgment.

Mar 9:44-46 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. 45 And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: 46 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

Unlike sheol or hades both body and soul are cast into Gehenna.

Mat 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

    *******

Lake of fire is only found in the book of revelation. It is made of two Greek words meaning pond or lake (having nearness of shore); and fire.

The lake of fire is the same as Gehenna. After the final judgment each person is thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the final and eternal destination of the rebellious.

The Antichrist and false prophet will be the first to be thrown into the lake of fire.

Rev 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Satan will finally be thrown into the lake of fire. Then every ungodly person will be judged by Jesus Christ and also be thrown into the lake of fire.

Rev 20:10-15 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. 11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

    *******

Apoleia is a Greek word translated as destruction, waste, perish, perdition, die, pernicious ways, and damnation.

    ap-o’-li-a

ruin or loss (physical, spiritual or eternal): – damnable (-nation), destruction, die, perdition, X perish, pernicious ways, waste.

Apoleia is used to describe the act of going to the final place of judgment (2Pe 3:7, Rev 17:11).

Hell is real. God created it, and Jesus is the Jail keeper. Hell must be escaped by every person. Jesus Christ provided the only way to escape hell. We are saved from destruction by Jesus’ blood sacrifice. He died in our place so that we may live.

We should expect to see a bright shining light in the heavens as Satan hurtles though space towards earth!

We should expect to see a bright shining light in the heavens as Satan hurtles though space towards earth!

    By Craig C. White

Considering the fact that world events suggest a near time destruction of Damascus and a subsequent Turkish led invasion into Israel, this has been on my mind more of late. Before Turkey leads the forces that are now fighting in Syria into northern Israel, we should expect to see a bright shining light in the heavens as Satan hurtles though space towards earth!

I know that everybody thinks that “a falling away” in 2Thessalonians 2:3 is the apostasy of the Church but everybody is WRONG! A falling away is the casting out of Satan from heaven to earth. Satan must fall from heaven before he can empower the Antichrist. These two things must happen before the Tribulation begins. So Christians really should not be surprised when they see Satan falling through outer space like lightning. But I’m certain that they will be.

We are going to begin in a strange place with the battle of Gog and Magog but I promise you that we will end up back in 2Thessalonians.

There are three battles called “Gog and Magog” in the Bible. We know that Satan is on earth deceiving the nations to attack Israel for two of them. The first battle of Gog and Magog is described in Ezekiel chapter 38 and seems to be forming now in Syria. The second battle of Gog and Magog is described in Ezekiel chapter 39 and will happen at the end of the seven year Tribulation period. Ezekiel 39 describes the same battle as the battle of Armageddon. We know that Satan will empower the Antichrist to oppress Israel during the Tribulation. So Satan is cast out of heaven well before the battle of Armageddon.

Rev 12:13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.

The third battle of Gog and Magog is described in Revelation chapter 20 and will happen after Jesus Christ rules on earth for one thousand years. Satan is let out of hell before that battle begins!

Rev 20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,

Every battle of Gog and Magog represents the collective rebellion of the original nations of the old world (primarily the nations from northern Africa to India). These are the Islamic nations of today. Satan will lead these nations against Israel.

So if Satan will be on earth to lead the nations into Israel during two of these battles; then we should expect Satan to be on earth during the first battle of Gog and Magog as well. We should expect Satan to be cast out of heaven and to fall to earth like lightning before Turkey leads the forces that are now fighting in Syria into the Golan Heights of northern Israel!

    Jesus said…

Luke 10:18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

The word that is translated as “lightning” means to glare or shine brightly. So Jesus is describing a bright shining light rather than a brief flash like that of a lightning bolt.

The fall of Satan is a recurring theme in the Old Testament.

Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

The King of Tyre is compared to Satan.

Eze 28:17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

Yes Satan has fallen from his previous estate as one of God’s most glorious angels. BUT Satan is still in heaven.

Jesus said this just before he went to the cross

John 12:31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

Two thousand years latter God has not yet judged the world and Satan has not yet been cast out of heaven.

There will be a war in heaven and Satan will be cast out. This happens some time before God establishes his kingdom on earth. We know that Satan will be on earth during the Tribulation period; even before the Tribulation begins. So it is possible that Satan will be cast out of heaven before the Rapture. I think that we will see that happen very soon.

Rev 12:7-12 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. 12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

Satan had already fallen from his initial state of glory but was still traveling between heaven and earth during the time of Job.

Job 2:1-2 Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD. 2 And the LORD said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

We should expect to see a bright shining light in the heavens as Satan hurtles though space towards the earth!

According to 2Thessalonians; two events must happen before the Tribulation begins. These two events are a “falling away” (or the falling of Satan from heaven to earth) and the revealing of the Antichrist with blasphemy against the God of Israel and his son Jesus Christ, and also with fake miracles.

    2Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

The Christians in Thessalonica were worried that the Rapture had not happened. They thought that the Tribulation had begun. The apostle Paul assured them that the Tribulation had not begun because Satan had not yet fallen from heaven to earth so that he could empower the Antichrist.

When you see the bright shining light hurtling through space towards earth, recognize it as Satan falling. I think that we should expect to see this soon!

Update November 2020: Satan has fallen. The Antichrist has been revealed. I wrote this commentary back in January 2018. Things have happened since then. The Comet Neowise was a bright comet that passed by earth in July 2020. Neowise was discovered on March 27, 2020.  The Comet Neowise was at its nearest proximity to earth on the same day that Turkish President Erdogan sat in the Hagia Sophia Cathedral in Istanbul, Turkey dedicating it into a mosque. On July 24th 2020 Turkish President Erdogan sat in the 1700 year old Hagia Sophia Cathedral showing himself that he is greater than everything that is called Christian. According to 2Thessalonians 2:4 this is how the Antichrist will be officially revealed.

We should expect to see a bright shining light in the heavens as Satan hurtles though space towards earth!

  • Hooks into thy jaws – To lead out

    Hooks into thy jaws

    To lead out

    Ezekiel 38:4

    By Craig C. White

Ezekiel chapter 38 describes a multi nation invasion into Israel. Ezekiel says that this invasion will be led by the primary governor of Turkey. I’m going to tell you right now that this Turkish ruler is the Antichrist. In Ezekiel chapter 38 God says that he will “put hooks into the jaws” of the invading armies to turn them back. Most people read these verses and conclude that God will use some political event to draw these armies into Israel. Bible students wring their hands as they try to guess what the “hook” might be. I think that we might not understand what Ezekiel is telling us.

Ezekiel 38:4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:

Notice that there are three separate declarations made at the beginning of this verse. 1. And I will turn thee back. 2. And put hooks into thy jaws. 3. And I will bring thee forth. It is a little difficult to understand in the English translation but none of these statements mean that God is going to bring these armies into the land of Israel. Instead they are saying that God is going to bring these armies out of Israel.

The first declaration in Ezekiel 38:4 is easy to understand. God will turn the invading armies back from where they came. In the second declaration the notion of “putting hooks into thy jaws” could be said as “putting a ring in your nose (or cheek)”. God will lead these invading armies out of Israel just like a farmer would lead a bull by a ring in its nose. The third declaration in Ezekiel 38:4 confuses us. It sounds as if God is leading theses armies forward. The Hebrew term that is translated as “bring thee forth” doesn’t mean “to bring forward” or “to bring into”. Instead the term “bring thee forth” means “to bring out” or “to get out” or “to carry out” or “to get away” or “to lead out” or “to pull out” or “to pluck out”. I hope that you can see that “bring thee forth” doesn’t mean to bring into but instead it means to bring out of.

The saying to put a hook into the jaw (or cheek) and to bring forth is used in other passages in the Bible. It always means that God will remove an army from the land of Israel or that God will remove a nation from its own land. It never means that God will lead an army into the land of Israel. It is a declaration of removal and not a depiction of entrance.

The Old Testament prophet Isaiah compares the Antichrist to the ancient Assyrian Kings. The Ezekiel chapter 38 invasion into Israel is similar to the ancient Assyrian invasions described by Isaiah. In Isaiah chapter 37 God leads the Assyrian army out of the land of Israel just like a farmer leads a bull by the ring in its nose. In the following verse God is speaking about Sennacherib king of Assyria.

Isaiah 37:29 Because thy rage against me, and thy tumult, is come up into mine ears, therefore will I put my hook in thy nose, and my bridle in thy lips, and I will turn thee back by the way by which thou camest.

Notice that God is turning the king of Assyria back in the way that he came from.

We can stop speculating about what sort of hook that God will use to bring an invading army into Israel. Yet we can begin to understand how God will remove this invading army out of Israel. In Isaiah God killed most of the Assyrian army as they slept. That was enough to turn them around and send them back to their hometown. Notice that in Isaiah 37:37, Nineveh was the capital city of the Assyrian Empire.

Isaiah 37:36-37 Then the angel of the LORD went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses. 37 So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh.

So God will use a hook to remove the invading army described in Ezekiel chapter 38. But how will he do it? Ezekiel tells us how. God will use a great earthquake. He will cause the invaders to fight each other. God will make the invaders sick. God will make it rain and hail on them, and God will fight them with fire and brimstone.

Ezekiel 38:21-22 And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man’s sword shall be against his brother. 22 And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.

We shouldn’t try to identify the hook that God will use to bring an army into Israel. Instead we should understand that God will fight against the invading armies causing them to retreat back to where they came from. In Ezekiel chapter 38 it is important to see that God will fight to save Israel.

Leviticus 26:12 And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people.

God promised to take care of Israel forever. Throughout their history Israel has suffered at the hands of other nations. In the near future the nation of Israel will once again suffer but in the end God will save them and finally secure their land forever.

Three Unions will combine to form the next World Empire

When Jesus returns he will destroy the next World Empire but the three Unions will survive for a little while.

    By Craig C. White

Daniel chapter 7 is simpler than we think. Daniel describes four end time beasts or kingdoms. The first three beasts are not World Empires. They are Unions. Three Unions will combine to form the next world empire. The European Union, the new Russian Union, and a new Middle Eastern Union will combine to form the next World Empire. The next world empire is the fourth beast in Daniel chapter 7. The next world empire is being identified simply as “the beast” in Daniel 7:11 below.

Daniel 7:11 I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.12 As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time.

When Jesus returns he will destroy the World Empire but the three Unions will continue for a little while.

The next step is the Turkish Army as they fight in Hamah, Syria

    By Craig C. White

The Turkish Army has entered northern Syria. Jeremiah 49:23 list the two northwestern cities of Hamah and Tell Rifaat. After they hear “evil reports” then the residents of Damascus will flee and Damascus will be destroyed.

Jeremiah 49:23 Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.

After the destruction of Damascus I think that Turkey will lead the forces that are now fighting in Syria into the Golan Heights of northern Israel (Eze 38). I suspect that Jesus Christ will return to turn back the Turkish led invasion into Israel. I think that the Resurrection and Rapture will happen at that time!

In the next verse Bashan, Carmel, and Lebanon describe the Golan Heights, Northern Israel, and southern Lebanon. This seems to describe Jesus as he passes above the Turkish led invaders as they enter northern Israel.

Nahum 1:3-7 The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet. 4 He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth. 5 The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein. 6 Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him. 7 The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.

Tell Rifaat is the key Kurdish held city in the Afrin region of northern Syria. The Turkish Army is targeting the Afrin region now. So for Jeremiah’s prophecy to unfold we need to see the Turkish Army move towards Hamah in order to fight the Syrian Army there.

  • Steadfast Life

    Steadfast Life

    Your best life latter

    By Craig C. White

Life is uncertain. We fall into traps and misfortune. Sometimes our enemies work against us. Sometimes the people we rely on disappoint us. Even wondering what to do with our lives can be evasive. After all, you only get one shot at life! So we ask, “Am I doing what I ought to be doing?” We all strive to have a better life. We all want to get our share of what life has to offer before it’s too late. Although we don’t believe it we know that one day every one of us will die. This makes us anxious. We must make our one shot at life count!

Take a deep breath and I will let you in on a fantastic secret. It turns out that you may not have only one shot at life. You may actually have TWO shots! Or if you are very lucky then you may actually have one long everlasting life. I am hoping that I will be included in that last category.

1Co 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

People we know die all the time but the Apostle Paul told us that not every person will die! How is that possible?

1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

God came down from heaven to earth in the man Jesus. Jesus died on the cross but he didn’t stay in the grave. Jesus rose up out of the grave alive but he didn’t stay on earth. Jesus went back to heaven to be an intercessor between man and God but not always. Jesus Christ is coming back soon but not to stay. Jesus is coming back to collect every person who ever believed in him. He will collect them both soul and body! If you believe in him your body and life will be renewed. If you reject him now then death will have its way with you. One day the dead in Christ will rise up out of their graves and live. Chances are that somebody you know who has died will become alive again. I’ll bet that some of those people will meet with you then. After all of those people are made alive, then the present day believers in Christ will be changed. Their bodies will be transformed into indestructible everlasting bodies. Chances are very good that I will still be alive on that day. Not until all believers past and present are assembled will they be taken into heaven to be with Jesus. Their lives will no longer be uncertain but instead they will be forever steadfast and enduring.

In order to receive our steadfast lives our hearts must be steadfast toward God. If our hearts are not steadfast with God then our souls and bodies will perish.

Psa 78:7-8 That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments: 8 And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not stedfast with God.

Don’t think that this is your best life now. For the believer in Jesus Christ a new renewed life is promised. One day every person who ever trusted God will rise up out of their grave and live. This day could come much sooner than we think. The day of renewed life could come before your current goals are accomplished. Whose life would you rather have; the person who overcame death or your short uncertain life today?

Our lives seem very important to us now. When things don’t go our way we even challenge God. We ask, “God why are you doing this to me?” But God understands that we are in fact not very significant. He knows that none of us will last very long at all.

Psa 78:39 For he remembered that they were but flesh; a wind that passeth away, and cometh not again.

Life is miraculous, uncertain, and fleeting. God created us to live forever but our troubles overflow us. Upon the resurrection and the renewing of our bodies our lives will become incredibly fantastic, steadfast, and fulfilling forever. This everlasting jubilant life was highly expensive yet freely given. God became a man in Jesus Christ in order to prepare our place before God. Jesus died to pay the penalty for our sin. Everlasting life is available to us if we receive it. If we do not then death will consume us forever. Our life in Jesus Christ is much greater than the cares of this world. Our renewed life has an eternal weight. In order to receive our steadfast lives our hearts must be steadfast toward God.

    Heb 3:14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

In the verse above the end doesn’t mean the end of time or the end of our lives but it means to the completion of maturity. If you know about Jesus Christ’s payment for your sin but are continually waiting to submit yourself to his authority then your deliverance from sin and death has not reached its end. Your faith has not reached maturity. When Jesus comes to raise the dead and to collect his followers then you will not be taken. At that time God will judge the unbelieving world. A terrible time of tribulation and spiritual darkness will grip the earth. The Bible tells us to trust Jesus now while the light still shines (John 12:35).

Today Jesus Christ sits at the right hand of God defending believers against the accusations of Satan. In this way he performs the duty of High Priest for us. He is a High Priest chosen among men who mediates between man and God. In verse 19 below the veil is the way into the holiest part of God’s temple in heaven. Only the High Priest is allowed there. Jesus Christ died as a sacrifice for sin. He presented his sacrifice in heaven before God. This is our steadfast hope of reconciliation with God and our steadfast promise of an everlasting renewed life.

Heb 6:19-20 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; 20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

The name Melchisedec means king of righteousness. Many Bible scholars think that Melchisedec was in fact an appearance of Jesus Christ on earth long before he became a man (Gen 14:18). It is said that Melchisedec like Jesus Christ has an eternal life (Heb 7:3, Heb 7:16). Since Jesus lives forever he is able to sustain our relationship with God forever. Our only hope of a steadfast right relationship with God is through his son Jesus.

Heb 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Our salvation through Jesus is complete and steadfast. Don’t be overwhelmed with the disappointments of life today. No matter how good or bad your life is now it will certainly be short. That is unless you are still alive until the day of resurrection; the day that Jesus returns for his own. Our lives forever will be great. When it comes to life in Jesus Christ the best is yet to come. That is for certain.

  • Question: What do these Bible verses have in common?

Question: What do these Bible verses have in common?

“But of that day and hour knoweth no man” and “one shall be taken, and the other left”

Answer: They have nothing at all to do with the Rapture.

    By Craig C. White

Did you know that not a single one of these verses pertains to Church age Christians? I’ll bet that you didn’t. Every one of these Bible verses are from Matthew chapter 24. Matthew chapter 24 was written directly to the Jews living in and around Jerusalem during the time of their great tribulation. Matthew chapter 24 has nothing at all to do with the Church. Earthquakes are not a sign of the Rapture. The Church is not being warned to be on the lookout for false prophets. God’s elect are not Church age believers. A generation should not be counted from the date that Israel became a nation until the time of the Rapture. The phrase “But of that day and hour knoweth no man” does not refer to the day of the Rapture! The days of Noah do not describe conditions on earth before the Rapture. At the Rapture one shall not be taken, and the other left. The Christians that I talk with don’t understand any of these verses. It is High Time that Christians properly understood their Bibles.

In Matthew chapter 24 Jesus is addressing his Jewish disciples. The Gentile Church is still a mystery. Jesus is telling his disciples about the trials that Jerusalem and Judea will endure during their great tribulation.

Matthew 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

Jerusalem’s great tribulation will begin during the middle of the seven year long Tribulation period. One day unexpectedly the armies of the Antichrist will attack Jerusalem and Judea and take half of the people as prisoners. This begins Jerusalem’s great tribulation. Some bad things will happen before the Antichrist invades Jerusalem. Jesus warns the Jews living around Jerusalem to be on the lookout for false teachers and also for great wars and natural disasters.

Matthew 24:4-5 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

Almost every Christian is tracking earthquakes as a sign of the approaching Rapture. That is a big mistake. Earthquakes, famines, and disease outbreaks are signs to Israel that their day of trouble is near! Earthquakes are not a sign of the Rapture.

Matthew 24:6-8 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Almost every Christian sees the Church represented in the following verse. Not so. This verse is talking about the day that the Antichrist invades Jerusalem and captures or kills its inhabitants. From that day the nations will oppress Israel for three and one half years.

Matthew 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.

In the next verse; these false prophets will deceive Israel during their time of trouble. These false prophets are not sent to the Church.

Matthew 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

When Matthew chapter 24 mentions the elect it is not talking about Christians but it is talking about Israel, God’s chosen people. The Jewish people must beware of false Christ’s as well as false prophets. It seems that Matthew is saying that the false Christs will arise once the great tribulation begins.

Matthew 24:23-24 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. 24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

I know that the following verse sounds like it is describing the Rapture but it isn’t. The elect identifies Israel, God’s chosen people not the Church. After the Tribulation Jesus Christ will collect all of the faithful Jews who have been dispersed throughout the world from the time of Abraham. They won’t be taken up into heaven. They will be resurrected and travel back to Israel. God will dry up the Red Sea, and the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers so that the Old Testament Jews can cross over them on their way back to Israel. Please notice that there is no mention of the Jews ascending into the sky.

Matthew 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

I have heard so many Christians trying to reconcile the length of a generation in order to establish the timeframe of the Rapture. Wow that is another big mistake. The generation who sees the beginning of the Tribulation will also see the end of the Tribulation, and the second coming of Jesus Christ. Try as I may, I can not correct the thinking of modern day Christians.

Matthew 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

Here is a BIG one. Boy how many times have I been rebuked by Christians using this verse? These Christians do not understand their Bibles. The day and hour that Jesus identifies is not the day of the Rapture.  It isn’t even the day of Jesus Christ’s second coming. Jesus is WARNING the Jews living around Jerusalem to WATCH for the armies of the Antichrist as they approach Jerusalem. On that day they are instructed to flee to the mountainous wilderness east of Jerusalem. That day begins Jerusalem’s great tribulation. The faithful Jews who heed Jesus’ warning will take refuge in Jordan during the great tribulation.

Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

Here is another one. The days of Noah do not describe the poor spiritual condition on earth today. The days of Noah don’t even describe the poor spiritual condition on earth before the great tribulation begins. The days of Noah describe the sudden destruction that will come upon Jerusalem and Judea when the armies of the Antichrist attack! The point is that this invasion will be a BIG SURPRISE. On a day when everybody in Jerusalem is living their lives as usual then sudden destruction will come upon them just like the flood took Noah’s generation by surprise!

Matthew 24:37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

I hate to burst your fuzzy brain bubble but the next verse does not describe the Rapture of the Church. Matthew is still chronicling the events of the day of Jerusalem’s trouble. When the Antichrist invades Jerusalem, his armies will take one Jew as prisoner and leave the next. In that way one half of the inhabitants of Jerusalem will be taken away captive. This is the same thing that Antiochous Epiphanies did when his armies invaded Jerusalem in 167 BC.

Matthew 24:40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

When the Antichrist invades Jerusalem then half of its residents will be taken captive. Zechariah tells us all about it.

Zechariah 14:1-3 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. 2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. 3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

In the next verse the term “Son of man” does not describe Jesus at his second coming nor does it describe Jesus when he comes for the Church at the Resurrection and Rapture. Believe it or not the term “Son of man” refers to the Antichrist as he approaches Jerusalem.

Matthew 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

This is the same day that is described in Luke 17:30-31.

Luke 17:30-31 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. 31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.

On the day that the armies of the Antichrist attack Jerusalem and Judea its residents are instructed to WATCH and to run for their lives. They must not return home for anything because the Antichrist’s armies will be going house to house capturing every other Jew. They must flee into the Judean wilderness in order to escape being captured or killed. It would be nice if Christians finally understood this. I think that the residents of Judea might be interested in knowing.

Jesus will be HOT when he comes for his Church

Mosul, the Rapture, and the Golan Heights

    By Craig C. White

OK, here is something that you have never considered. The book of Nahum predicts the flooding and destruction of ancient Nineveh. That happened in 612 BC. Today Nineveh is called Mosul in northern Iraq. Mosul is the hometown and headquarters of ISIS. Nahum’s prophecy seems to also apply to Mosul today. A lot of Nahum’s prophecy has already been fulfilled in Mosul.

Now that isn’t even the most curious thing about the book of Nahum. Besides telling us about the destruction and flooding of ancient Nineveh; the book of Nahum also describes the coming in the air of Jesus Christ!!! Jesus comes in a whirlwind and he is HOT!

Nahum 1:3-8 The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet. 8 But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies.

The land around Jesus will melt and burn. In the verses above, Nahum identifies Bashan, Carmel, and Lebanon. These places all describe the Golan Heights that separate Israel from Syria and Lebanon. I think that Ezekiel chapter 38 describes a Turkish led invasion into the Golan Heights of Israel. I expect this invasion to happen after Turkey attacks Hamah and Tell-Rifaat (Arpad in Jeremiah 49:23) in northwestern Syria, and then marches southward to destroy Damascus (Jeremiah 49:23-27). Turkey is preparing to attack these two Syrian cities right now. Turkish President Erdogan said that the Turkish Army could come at any night suddenly and all at once. So the Turkish led invasion into the Golan Heights is not far off.

Speaking of fire; I’ve always wondered where the fire and brimstone would come from in Ezekiel chapter 38. It seems that it will be stirred up by the heat of Jesus’ coming. Ezekiel says that God will cause the Turkish led armies to retreat.

Ezekiel 38:22-23 And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. 23 Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.

Guess what peeps. I think that this next passage refers to Jesus Christ’s coming for his Church. The passage precedes a description of Israel’s time of trouble. I think that when Jesus collects believers he will be angry with the unbelieving nations, especially those situated around Israel. Jesus won’t come floating down sweetly on a fluffy cloud. He will come in a whirlwind. Fire shall devour before him. He will give the order to collect all of the people who have accepted his own sacrifice for sin; namely Jesus Christ’s death on a cross.

Psalm 50:3-5 Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him. 4 He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people. 5 Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.

So when Jesus comes for his Church the heat of his coming will scorch the ground where Israel’s enemies have gathered. It seems that Jesus will personally fight against the Turkish led invaders who have gathered on the Golan Heights.

A lot of Nahum’s prophecy has already been fulfilled in Mosul. Nahum tells about a final uprising and the flooding of Mosul yet to come. Jesus Christ may judge Mosul in person when he comes to gather his Church before the Tribulation on earth. Jesus will also fight against the Turkish led forces on the Golan Heights. Keep your eye on Mosul but also watch Hamah, Tell Rifaat, Damascus, and the Golan Heights!
