Iraqi forces prepare to retake Mosul from ISIS
The Bible predicts the flooding of Mosul.
By Craig C. White
The Iraqi army along with some help from Iran and the Kurds are preparing to retake the city of Mosul in northern Iraq from ISIS. US President Obama expects Mosul to fall by the end of 2016.
The book of Nahum is all about the destruction of the ancient city of Nineveh. God destroyed Nineveh with a flood along with three plundering armies. The modern day city of Mosul in northern Iraq is Nineveh. As a matter of fact the ruins of Nineveh lay within the city limits of Mosul! The prophet Nahum said that God would flood the place where Nineveh was built. Both cities were built in the same place. Therefore the book of Nahum describes the destruction of ancient Nineveh and it also very probably describes the present day destruction of Mosul! The city of Mosul in northern Iraq is the hometown and headquarters of ISIS. The same three armies that plundered Nineveh are now attacking ISIS in Mosul. God will soon destroy Mosul with a flood then the city will be plundered by Iraq, Iran, and the Kurds. This all happened in 612 BC. It is about to happen again!
By the way, the Mosul dam is in danger of bursting. The spring rains will stress the dam even more. The US Army corps of Engineers say that If the dam breaks it would send a 70 foot high wave of water over the city. The destruction of Mosul may be the end time sign to Israel that Jesus Christ is truly their Messiah. It may also be the last warning to Israel that their time of trouble is at hand.

Is this a coincidence or not? Sandstorm and bad weather halted the offensive in Mosul.

1 The burden of Nineveh. The book of the vision of Nahum the Elkoshite.
2 God is jealous, and the Lordrevengeth; the Lord revengeth, and is furious; the Lord will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies.
3 The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the Lord hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.
