Turkey planning to attack Tell Rifaat
Tell Rifaat is Arpad mentioned in Jeremiah 49:23
By Craig C. White
The Prophet Jeremiah tells us that just before the destruction of Damascus the northwestern Syrian towns of Hamah and Tell Rifaat will hear reports of a coming invasion. The modern day town of Tell Rifaat is identified as “Arpad” in Jeremiah 49:23.
Jeremiah 49:23 Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.
Reports are just now surfacing of Turkey’s intentions to attack Tell Rifaat very soon.
Following are excerpts from an article on Al Monitor dated May 1, 2017 US move to protect YPG could push Turkey into Russia’s arms
A commander from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the YPG-led army uniting Arabs and Kurds trained by the United States to fight IS, told Al-Monitor that a Turkish play for Tal Rifaat was afoot and that Russian military advisers in Syria had warned them of an “imminent” Turkish attack.
Erdogan declared, “I could come unexpectedly, at any time.”
The Turkish Army is very likely to swarm into northwestern Syria at Hamah and Tell Rifaat and then march southward to besiege Damascus.
Erdogan is meeting with Trump next week. He’s upset over the U.S. backing the Syrian Kurds. It could be a clash of titans given Trump’s disposition. But somehow, I don’t think that even Trump can defy the Ant-Christ.

Well Brian, Trump already won this round with Erdogan. US troops are protecting Kurdish fighters in Eastern Syria forcing Erdogan to attack the Kurds in northwestern Syria right where Jeremiah says that Turkey will attack at Hamah and Tell Rifaat. Trump is leading Erdogan to fulfill God’s word.

And Trump seems to be an unwitting participant… oblivious to Biblical prophecy. Craig, do you think it’s possible that some of Trump’s evangelical associates/friends may be giving him some faulty prophetic advice based on their misinterpretations? I know that Trump associates with Mike Hiuckabee, Franklin Graham, Jerry Falwell Jr., and others.

Also, remember that Trump is giving arms to the Kurds who oppose the antichrist. That’s a good thing, although probably futile.

Good observations David. I wouldn’t say that protecting the Kurds is futile. Erdogan would like to wipe out the Kurds in Syria. Trump has ensured that the majority of Kurds in Syria will live. There are no Bible prophecies that say that the Kurds will be destroyed.
