When will the Antichrist sit in the temple?

When will the Antichrist sit in the temple?

During the middle of the Tribulation period

By Craig C. White

Turkish President Erdogan is the Antichrist but when will he sit in the Temple? Well first there has to be a new temple built in Jerusalem, right? I think that permission to build a new Jewish temple in Jerusalem will be a part of the seven year term treaty that the Antichrist will make concerning Israel (Daniel 9:27). I think that Erdogan will sit in the new temple in Jerusalem when Turkey attacks Judea and Jerusalem during the middle of the seven year long Tribulation period. This will begin Jerusalem’s great tribulation.

In 2Thessalonians the Apostle Paul lists two events that must precede the Tribulation period. They are the fall of Satan from heaven to earth, and the revealing of the Antichrist.

2Thessalonians 2:2-3 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

In the next verse Paul talks about the Antichrist as he sits in the temple of God showing himself that he is God.

2Thessalonians 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

I think that the Antichrist will sit in the temple a few years after the fall of Satan and the revealing of the Antichrist with signs and lying wonders.

2Thessalonians 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

I think that Jesus will return for his Church long before this happens. Turkey will invade Jerusalem and Judea during the middle of the seven year Tribulation period. Jesus warns the residents of Judea to WATCH and to flee as the armies of the Antichrist approaches.

Matthew 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

Matthew 24:42 is part of a parable. The word “Lord” here does not refer to Jesus Christ. The parable is a warning to watch for somebody coming unexpectedly. The Antichrist will make a surprise ambush on Jerusalem.

Matthew 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

This day will begin Jerusalem’s great tribulation. This is the day that no man knows the time that the Antichrist’s armies will attack Jerusalem.

Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

I know that most people say that this verse is talking about the Rapture of the Church but they are WRONG! Matthew chapter 24 is written to the Jews living around Jerusalem during the tribulation period. Jesus is warning them about the invasion of Jerusalem. Matthew chapter 24 has nothing at all to do with the Church. It is High Time for Christians to understand Jesus’ warning to Jerusalem!
