Syrian Army attacks Al-Qaeda in Hamah
Expect the Turkish Army to fight the Syrian Army in Hamah
By Craig C. White
Right on cue. This week the Syrian Army launched a major offensive against Al-Qaeda in Hamah, Syria. The Turkish Army is present in Idlib, Syria located just to the north of Hamah. Turkey is Sunni Muslim and supports the Sunni Muslim Al-Qaeda forces in Syria. Turkey is also dead set against the Assad regime in Syria. The Syrian Army’s aggression against Al-Qaeda will likely bring the Turkish Army head to head against the Syrian Army in Hamah.
Jeremiah 49:23 describes the Turkish Army as they attack Hamah and Tell Rifaat in northwestern Syria. Tell Rifaat is called “Arpad” in the following verse.
Jeremiah 49:23 Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.
The Turkish Army is already amassed near Tell Rifaat ready to attack. Jeremiah says that after Turkey terrorizes Hamah and Tell Rifaat then the residents of Damascus will flee and Damascus will be destroyed.
