Syrian Army begins offensive against Al-Qaeda rebels near Golan Heights of Israel
By Craig C. White
The Syrian Army is mobilized and conducting artillery strikes on the southern border town of Deraa. Deraa is located directly south of Damascus on the Israel and Jordan borders. Deraa is one of the last Al-Qaeda rebel strongholds near Damascus.
OK, now here is my analysis: even though this latest offensive is against a small pocket of Al-Qaeda rebels in southwestern Syria; Turkey will make a big deal about it. I could be wrong but especially if Turkish President Erdogan wins Sunday’s election then this would be an excuse for Turkey to attack Damascus. The U.S. wants Assad removed from power. Israel doesn’t want somebody else’s war on its border. Cries of foul over chemical warfare by Assad are increasing by U.S. lawmakers and the media. There exists a desire to remove Assad.
One way or another, sooner or later Turkey will destroy Damascus. Afterwards Turkey will lead the forces that are now fighting in Syria into the Golan Heights of Israel.
The Turkish Army is amassed near Hamah and Tell Rifaat in northwestern Syria. The Prophet Jeremiah says that after Hamah and Tell Rifaat hear evil reports then the residents of Damascus will flee and Damascus will be destroyed.
