Mosul is a heap of rubble and corpses
and it may get even worse.
By Craig C. White
The Iraqi government has declared victory over ISIS in Mosul. But the fight is not over yet. ISIS is still fighting in Mosul.
The Prophet Nahum predicted the flooding and destruction of the ancient Assyrian capital city of Nineveh. Today Nineveh is called Mosul in northern Iraq. Mosul is the hometown and headquarters of ISIS in Iraq . Nahum may also predict the defeat of ISIS and also the destruction and flooding of Mosul.
Mosul in northern Iraq is a wreck. The Iraqi government suggested that the Old City neighborhood of western Mosul should be abandoned. Residents say that there can be no rebuilding because of its horrific condition.
Nahum 3:19 There is no healing of thy bruise; thy wound is grievous: all that hear the bruit of thee shall clap the hands over thee: for upon whom hath not thy wickedness passed continually?
ISIS fighters are still emerging from tunnels and killing civilians in western Mosul.
Nahum 3:11 Thou also shalt be drunken: thou shalt be hid, thou also shalt seek strength because of the enemy.
Thousands of corpses still litter western Mosul. The Iraqi Army refuses to remove the bodies of dead ISIS fighters; saying that they don’t deserve the respect of burial.
Nahum 3:3 The horseman lifteth up both the bright sword and the glittering spear: and there is a multitude of slain, and a great number of carcases; and there is none end of their corpses; they stumble upon their corpses:
Nahum predicts the defeat of ISIS and also the destruction and flooding of Mosul.
Nahum 1:8 But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies.
Nahum 2:6 The gates of the rivers shall be opened, and the palace shall be dissolved.
Nahum 2:8 But Nineveh is of old like a pool of water: yet they shall flee away. Stand, stand, shall they cry; but none shall look back.
Mosul is in an horrific state today but things could get even worse. In 612 BC God sent torrential rains to wash away the walls of Nineveh. Today the Mosul dam is in danger of bursting.
Nahum 3:6 And I will cast abominable filth upon thee, and make thee vile, and will set thee as a gazingstock.
Nahum 3:19 There is no healing of thy bruise; thy wound is grievous: all that hear the bruit of thee shall clap the hands over thee: for upon whom hath not thy wickedness passed continually?
I think that we will hear more bad news regarding ISIS and their stronghold in Mosul. When we do, everybody will consider that ISIS has received their just reward.
Craig,
My eyes are still on Mosul. Now there is is a humane watch on the treatment of ISIS soldiers taken captive by opposition forces. I’m sure some will complain about the judgements of God being cruel and inhumane. Where are the stories of how they beheaded children who would not deny Christ. The judgements of the Lord are right, and righteous altogether. Psalms 19:9, Revelation 19:2.

Craig,
One American News is reporting that pro Assad, Syrian forces are going to enter Afrin from Aleppo within two days or hours. Kurdish leaders have struck a deal with Syrian forces to come in and give support. Turkey has said that, “If Syrian forces are coming into Afrin to remove those Turkey has deemed terrorists, then they are welcomed, but if they assist their enemies then nothing can stop Turkey’s soldiers.” Sounds like Turkey may have an excuse to move further south. This is exactly what I thought would happen. Assad is going to go up against Turkey, and things will “go south.”
