When we are taken at the Rapture

To receive our renewed bodies and to be with Jesus Christ and other believers in Heaven will be wonderful. Also, to escape the troubles and worries of this world will be great. However, I have figured something out.
First, the reason that the Church will be taken at the Rapture isn’t because our time has come, or that we are so good that God can’t wait to see us, but it is because a terrible time of trouble is coming on Israel and on the entire world. We will be taken in order to escape it.
The verse below is addressed first to Israel and then to all of the meek of the earth.
Zephaniah 2:3 Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD’S anger.
The main event is not the Rapture of the Church, but the main event is that Israel and the nations will be judged. Church age believers will be watching the events of the tribulation on earth from heaven. The Tribulation is the main event. After the Tribulation on Earth the Church will return to Earth with Jesus to live there forever.
Israel is at the center of God’s plan of redemption for all people. God chose Abraham to be his nation. God promised King David that his descendant would rule in Jerusalem forever. God promised that the Messiah would come from the Jews. To believe on him would mean everlasting life. We won’t live in Heaven forever. Christians will return to Earth after the Tribulation. We will first help to care for many hurting Jews who have survived the Tribulation. We will then rule on earth with Jesus Christ forever. Didn’t you know that the meek shall inherit the earth?
Matthew 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Before the Tribulation begins, every meek person both Jew and gentile who believe in Jesus Christ will find shelter in Heaven from God’s judgment on Earth.

Hi Craig! Good stuff…
So when, in your opinion, does the rapture happen? Its nice to think that we will escape tribulation but what, in scripture, sets todays Church apart from the Church that has suffered tribulation for the last 2,000 years? Im pre-wrath. I believe that the 7th seal ushers in that wrath so Rev 6 (between the 6th and 7th seals) describes sealing the 144,000 and a great sudden appearance of people from every tribe, tongue and nation (the rapture!!!)
The first four seals dedcribe, to me, a WW3 that seperates the genuine from the counterfeit (and THIS is the patience of the Saints). This is why prior to chapter 6 the saints in heaven are told to “rest” while their bretheren are “killed how they were” but in chapter 6 we all instantly show up!!!

Hi Bob. I suspect that Jesus will return to turn back the Turkish led invaders when they enter the Golan Heights of northern Israel. I think that he will also collect his Church at that time.

I have read the post you linked above and believe you are right about Turkey and the Erdogan (anti-christ) invasion. I was looking for a little more scripture to explain why the rapture takes place pre-trib. I set out to prove pre-teib right and couldnt…. I do hope youre right!!!
To me, Erdogan is the first seal conqueror and Syria is the melting pot that sparks WW3, famine and death that effects 1/4 of the earths population.
So much is happening so fast…prophecy is being fulfilled daily!!!

Basically you have to make sure you rightly divide the word of truth, dispensationalism – right group of people for the right time period as per 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV
“Jacob’s trouble” , is the 7 year tribulation for Israel. Body of Christ, (The Church) is saved from the wrath of God through the Blood of Jesus Christ Revelation 3:10
