The term “Son of man” typically refers to Jesus Christ.
But “Son of man” sometimes refers to the Antichrist.

In several instances in the Bible God addresses men in general as “son of man” (Psa 8:4, Heb 2:6). God often addresses the Old Testament prophet Ezekiel as “son of man”. God calls the prophet Daniel “son of man” only one time in (Dan 8:17). When the word “Son” is capitalized in the Bible; most of the time the term “Son of man” refers to the Messiah (Dan 7:13). Occasionally the term “Son of man” is also used to describe the Antichrist (Luke 17:26 & 30). The two Greek words that are translated as “Son of man” are uihos (pronounced hwee-os’) meaning heir (or inheritor) and anthrōpos meaning human being. So the term “Son of man” literally means inheritor of humanity. Simply put the term “Son of man” describes a person who is born of human parents. In Jesus Christ’s case he was born to his mother Mary. He is truly a man. Of course Jesus Christ is also truly God. In the Antichrist’s case he will also be born of human parents. The Antichrist is only a man. In Luke chapter 17 the term “Son of man” is used in two different ways; both to describe Jesus Christ as well as to describe the man we call the Antichrist. In the following verses the term “Son of man” pertains to Jesus Christ.
Luke 17:22-25 And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it. 23 And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them. 24 For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. 25 But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.
In the Luke 17:26-31 the term “Son of man” is used twice (Luke 17:26 & 30) to describe the revealing of the Antichrist as he invades Jerusalem and Judea. This is a day of death and distress. Jesus warns people not to return to their homes.
Luke 17:26-31 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. 27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; 29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. 31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
In Matthew chapter 24 we are told who these people are that Jesus instructs not to return to their homes. They are the people of Jerusalem and Judea.
Mat 24:15-21 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) 16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: 17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: 18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. 19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! 20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: 21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Matthew 24:15-18 describes the same day as does Luke 17:30-31. The day that the “Son of man” is revealed in Luke 17:30 is the same as the day that the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, will stand in the holy place in Matthew 24:15. It is the very day that the armies of the Antichrist will overrun Jerusalem and Judea. The “Son of man” in Luke 17:30 is not describing Jesus Christ but it is warning the citizens of Jerusalem and Judea about the coming Antichrist. The day that the “Son of man” is revealed in Luke 17:30 marks the beginning of Jerusalem’s and Judea’s great tribulation.
The term “Son of man” refers to the Antichrist as he invades Jerusalem and Judea only in the following verses.
Luke 17:26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
Luke 17:30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
Mat 24:37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Mat 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Mat 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
In the Bible the term “Son of man” usually refers to Jesus Christ. But in these few instances “Son of man” is warning the people in Jerusalem and Judea about the invading army of the Antichrist.

Don’t mean to be rude at all, just sharing my own view of this interpretation, we’ll just talk like two brothers in Christ. Please Craig read it all and hear me out, please don’t delete it, just talk to me back kindly.

I believe that the day it is referring to is Day of the Lord, which is destruction for wicked people, and that is when the hour of temptation that will come upon the wicked people and we, only the Philadelphia Church are raptured out. That’s when the wrath of God upon the wicked people is poured out.
Zephaniah 1:14 The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. 15 That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,
Amos 5: 18 Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light. 19 As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him. 20 Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?
1 Thessalonians 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
Isaiah 13:6 Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty. 7 Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man’s heart shall melt: 8And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames. 9 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it. 10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine. 11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible. 12 I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir. 13 Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.
This is important because Paul is mentioning this too right here
2 Thess 2
Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him (Rapture)
Next Paul is letting us know about that day, The Day of The Lord Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition
Here it says that Rapture and the Coming of Christ will not come till first the falling away happens first – let’s let the Bible interpret itself what that means
Luke 8:13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. That is from faith. So that happens first, then man of sin revealed. Anti-Christ . That means the Rapture and coming of Jesus Christ will not happen till first we see the revealing of Anti-Christ which is during the tribulation.
Back to Matthew 24, But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
That is why it says this
37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
It will be destruction for the wicked people just like the flood in Noah, we are not in darkness because we are going to be raptured, and taken out from the hour of temptation which shall come upon the whole world
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Compare it now to this 1 Thessalonians 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
Next it talks about the Rapture as I mentioned , we are taken out
40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
Not the anti-christ, why would a wicked person be called son of man? It’s only for God’s people
Then it talks about Jesus coming again, which is Son of man in context-
43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

Tibs, you are confusing tribulation passages with rapture passages.
Mathew chapter 24 is written to the Jews that are living in Jerusalem and Judea during the tribulation. There is no reference to the Church or to the Rapture at all.
The day that comes upon Jerusalem as a thief in the night is the day that the Antichrist will invade Jerusalem. At that time one Jew will be taken away prisoner and another Jew will be left.
Understand that Matthew chapter 24 has NOTHING AT ALL to do with the Church or with the Rapture and you will begin to understand more.

Where else does it say gather?

Yup , rapture.

Who’s judgement was and on who? Both instances it was God’s judgement on sinners.
It will be the same when Jesus comes, it will be the Day of the Lord
More proof – 2 Peter 3:10-18 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
Son of Man is not anti-Christ but Jesus Christ coming as a thief in the night, it’s a type of judgment on sinners all over the world do destroy them. I gave you more verses in my previous comment.
There is also one church within the body of Christ that escapes all of this by rapture – Church of Philadelphia
Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
What is the hour of temptation? That is the moment those left have to choose between mark of the Beast and Jesus Christ. Those that proved their faith to God they’re raptured out, and it’s before choosing the mark of the beast.
Yes, you have written all these things on your website and in your books, that does not mean it’s the truth, see, if you are wrong, you have a lot to lose, and I don’t because I present truth, and even if you believe what I am showing you it’s still not a loss to you because you know the truth and God would see that you preach the truth instead and admitting you’re wrong.
I don’t want to argue with you, just showing you the truth, you have it wrong, I just want people to be ready for tribulation, and see the truth. Yes pre-trib rapture sounds good but once you study it more, you’ll see it’s a fallacy.

Tibs. One Jew will be taken away as a prisoner by the armies of the Antichrist. Another Jew will be left in Jerusalem. Nobody gets raptured on the day that the Antichrist invades Jerusalem and Judea. This is how the Antichrist will break the seven year covenant concerning Israel in the middle of its term. This happens during the middle of the Tribulation.
The sun will be darkened just before Jesus returns at his second coming to rescue Jerusalem and all of Israel. This happens three and one half years after the Antichrist attacks Jerusalem.
Jesus will resurrect and gather all Jews together from places like Egypt, Assyria, and Babylon when he returns to rescue Israel at his second coming. Nobody is raptured on that day because Jesus will remain on earth.
In 2Thessalonians 2 the day that Church age Christians will be gathered is a different day than the day of Christ. The day of Christ is the same as the day of the Lord. The day of the Lord is the Tribulation period including the day that Jesus returns to fight against Israel’s enemies.
You are just trying to argue that Christians will be suffering through the Tribulation. I do not agree. Although, I do believe that the vast majority of people who call themselves Christians will suffer through the Tribulation.
