Conqueror of Syria is the Antichrist!
The Antichrist is compared to the Assyrian kings

The Bible compares the Antichrist with the ancient Assyrian kings. The Assyrians conquered Syria and then invaded northern Israel. A few years later they invaded southern Israel. Turkey is about to do these same things.
In Jeremiah 49:23-27 Syria is invaded from its northwestern border near Turkey. Then Damascus is destroyed. Turkey will invade Syria, destroy Damascus, and then turn southward to invade northern Israel just like the Assyrians did in 734 BC. These events help to identify the Antichrist and are a prelude to Armageddon.
The Turkish Army has already entered Syria. Turkey President Erdogan has already called on every Islamic nation to take the Golan Heights away from Israel. Every nation that is mentioned in Ezekiel chapter 38 is today fighting in Syria. According to Ezekiel Turkey will lead Libya, Iran, and Sudan into Israel. The Free Syrian Army is comprised mostly of Libyans. Iranian forces are already shelling the Golan Heights on the Israel border.
Turkey President Erdogan has vowed to remove Syria President Assad from power in Damascus. Erdogan is the Antichrist. The Turkish Army is about to enter Syria in full force. Just like the ancient Assyrians, the conqueror of Syria is the Antichrist!

Hi Craig,
It appears that Erdogan is testing the resolve of the bear, and the loyalty of his Muslim Allies. If he is in fact the antichrist, then we should see something happen that will cause his allies to turn against Putin and join Erdogan in his march south. I am looking for him to summon representatives from the Muslim world to his palace and establish their caliphate soon.
If it is time for the prophecies to be fulfilled concerning Damascus, and Israel than nothing, not even Russia can stop God from drawing Erdogan to invade Israel. Do you think God may use Russia to rain a little fire and brimstone on Erdogan and his armies invading Israel the first time?

Hi David. Erdogan and Putin are suposed to meet this week. Putin has placed economic sanctions on Turkey. The first thing on the prophetic calendar is Turkey invading Syria’s northwestern cities (Hamah and Arpad Jer 49). My guess is that Russia will leave Syria. Perhaps they will recieve promises from Turkey this week to secure access to Syria’s warm water ports. I don’t see Russia defending Israel. I think that Ezekiel 38 indicates that God will fight against Turkey and the other invaders of Israel with the forces of nature. https://hightimetoawake.com/magog-made-easy/

Probably as you said. When God has moved in times past, there is usually no doubt that it is an act of God. You also said this about Mosul flooding as a direct result of God’s righteous act. Israel really is being set up to see another battle of God against the enemy. Only this time, it will not be against the prophets of Baal, but the servants of Islam. We must pray that many Jewish people will come to Christ, and see him as savior and not judge.

Hi Craig,
I had to revisit your video on “Erdogan and possibly fulfilling the role of the Assyrian” after reading about a discovery in Israel today. The discovery was a seal from a signet ring belonging to Hezekiah. I thought that this was a very timely find, that offers proof of the good king of Judah who interceded on behalf of Israel when Senacharib threatened the southern kingdom of Israel.
It’s not the sign of Jonah, but perhaps it will remind people of God’s ability to defend Israel when surrounded by her enemies. Archeology is very friendly to the Bible.

Hezekiah ruled Judah when Assyrian king Sennacherib invaded southern Israel. His forces reached just outside of Jerusalem where God killed them in their sleep.
Isa 37:36 Then the angel of the LORD went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.

I find it interesting that the news reports that the Syrian regime is bombing Ghouta when Al-Qaeda in Ghouta has been bombing Damascus for the past year.

I think Turkey is looking for any reason to advance and expand. After the coup attempt, Erdogan started labeling anyone that opposed him as daesh or terrorists.

The Hagia Sophia is the former Greek Orthodox Christian patriarchal cathedral. The Hagia Sophia is located in Istanbul, Turkey. If Erdogan converts this significant old Church into a mosque then he is claiming Islam’s supremacy over Christianity. The Turkish government has already taken away many Christian Churches in Turkey and has persecuted Christians. Only about one percent of Turkey’s population is Christian today.
This reminds me of a Bible verse.
2Thessalonians 2:4 who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
Most Christians think that this verse will be fulfilled when the Antichrist sits in the newly built temple in Jerusalem but I wonder if it could possibly be fulfilled in the Hagia Sophia. I already know that Turkish President Erdogan is the Antichrist. If he claims to be god as he dedicates the Hagia Sophia as a mosque than we had better pay attention.

I know that Shoebat constructed a pretty good argument for what you are suggesting, the throne in Hagia Sophia, but I am still in the camp of the Temple of Jerusalem for the following reasons.
Paul was writing to Christians who had no knowledge of Hagia Sophia , Allah, or the Muslim religion.
The only Temple of God they were familiar with was the Jerusalem Temple.
The Jews or early Christians would not consider a self proclaimed god sitting in a foreign temple outside of Judaism to be the abomination of desolation. They have seen plenty of those throughout history, and the antichrist prototype Antiochus Epiphanes did not enter the temple of Hagia Sophia.
I believe Paul was referring to the only known Temple of God during his time, the Temple of Jerusalem.
The antichrist will claim to be God, only in the one temple that Jews and Christians believe is the house of the One True God of Israel. Otherwise, it would just be another false prophet in another foreign god’s temple.
Satan from the beginning has wanted to replace the true God of Israel. Satan’s throne is already in Turkey. He wants to occupy the seat in the temple of God’s people in Israel.
Perhaps I am wrong, but just as Walid suggested in a previous article, that the antichrist abolishing the daily sacrifices was prohibiting the Eucharist, and not daily sacrifices in the Jewish temple. I believe the antichrist will sit in the Temple of Jerusalem and not a foreign temple of a false god, Allah. Otherwise antichrist would be claiming to be Allah, and not the true God of Jews and Christians alike. I am and will continue to pay very close attention to Erdogan, but if he claims to be God in Hagia Sophia, I think it will only be a precursor of his ultimate desire, the throne in the Jerusalem Temple and the Throne of God Almighty in heaven.

Hi David. I tend to agree with you but I wonder if sitting in the temple of god proclaiming to be god may be a different event than the abomination of desolate.

Maybe the dedication of Hagia Sophia will be when Satan falls and enters the a.c. Historical and spiritual significance has been attached to the dates of Hagia Sophia, and the fall and rise of the Ottoman empire are well known facts to historians and religious leaders in the Muslim and Christian world. Craig, just the fact that we are having this conversation, and at present the Golan Heights is all over the news, is giving me Holy Ghost goose pimples right now.

I will certainly be paying attention when Erdogan dedicates the Hagia Sophia as a mosque. I read that Erdogan plans to lead the Islamic call to prayer himself. This is something that only an Imam is qualified to do. So Erdogan will be declaring himself to be a spiritual leader of Islam. If it turns out to be a biblical event it should be fairly dramatic thus identifiable. We will see. Roger on the goose pimples.
