Turkey to send international army to Israel
Rockets fired into Israel from Gaza
By Craig C. White
This has been a tough week for Israel. It began with violent protests by Palestinians on the temple mount. The cry from the beginning was that every Muslim nation should attack Jerusalem. At the same time massive rallies were happening in Turkey. The Turks were also calling for the overthrow of Jerusalem. It seems to me that this was a premeditated incitement of violence in Israel. Over the next few days Hamas fired over 2800 rockets into Israel from Gaza. Rockets were also fired from Lebanon and from Syria. Israel responded by targeting Hamas positions in Gaza. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said that Israel’s campaign in Gaza was continuing at “full force”. Politicians in Israel often do not agree but concerning defending Israel against these rocket attacks everyone is unanimous. Israel is committed to this fight.
Most conspicuously Turkish President Erdogan said that Israel must be taught a “deterrent lesson”. Erdogan called on Russia to vote for a UN Security Council action to put an international peace keeping force inside of Israel. Erdogan also reiterated his position that Turkey should be allowed a seat on the five member state UN Security Council. My friends this is the beginning of the covenant with many spoken of by the Prophet Daniel (Dan 9:27).
Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
Russia is represented by a bear in Daniel chapter 7. In Revelation 13:2 the next world empire is described as having the feet of a bear. Russia will become an international security force in Israel.
Rev 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
Dan 7:7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.
In a speech this week Turkish President Erdogan called on all Muslim nations to overthrow Jerusalem. In another speech Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that Turkey had decided to send an international army to Israel for the protection of Jerusalem.
Now for my two cents. The Turkish Army is amassed in northwest Syria. They are eager to overthrow the Syrian Army in the Hamah Province and Erdogan has vowed to also remove the Kurds from Tell Rifaat. These two Syrian towns are mentioned in Jeremiah 49:23. When Hamah and Tell Rifaat hear evil tidings then the residents of Damascus will flee and Damascus will be destroyed. Tell Rifaat is called Arpad in Jeremiah 49:23.
Jeremiah 49:23 Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.
I think that Turkey will finally launch its offensive in northwestern Syria and then march down to besiege Damascus. From Damascus Turkey will lead the forces that are now fighting in Syria into the Golan Heights of northern Israel. Jesus will return in a whirlwind of fire to stop them.
