Erdogan proposes that Russia take a new direction in Syria

Russian President Putin and Turkish Peresident Erdogan are scheduled to meet concerning northwestern Syria on September 29, 2021. Before their meeting Turkey has sent more military reinforcements to rebel held Idlib province in northwestern Syria. Russia has increased air strikes on Turkish supported rebels in Idlib. Turkey and Russia are getting closer to clashing in Idlib province.

President Erdogan says Moscow’s decisions in war-torn Syria are a threat to southern Turkey, urging President Putin to adopt a new approach “as a requirement of solidarity.”

This means that Erdogan wants Russia to allow Turkey to take over Hamah and Tell Rifaat in northwestern Syria. This is what Jeremiah 49:23 predicts. Tell Rifaat is called Arpad in Jeremiah 49:23.

Jer 49:23 Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.

Jeremiah 49:23 tells us that the destruction of Damascus will begin in northwestern Syria. Before Damascus is destroyed Hamah and Tell Rifaat will hear evil reports and be terrified. The Turkish army has been amassed between Hamah and Tell Rifaat for a couple of years now.

People think that Israel will destroy Damascus because Israel has nuclear weapons. May I remind you that Damascus is located only thirty miles away from northern Israel. Not a place where Israel wants to drop a nuclear bomb. There is no Biblical evidence that Israel will destroy Damascus.

Turkey will destroy Damascus.

Russia and Turkey don’t want to fight one another in Syria. Erdogan is proposing that Russia take a new direction. Perhaps Russia will agree to allow Turkey to overthrow the Assad regime.
