It’s here! The Bible Prophecy 2016 Timeline is here! I’ve got news for you. World events are shaping up to the near time fulfillment of end time bible prophecy. For instance Jeremiah 49 indicates the invasion of Syria from the Turkish border then Damascus is destroyed. Today the world is asking Turkey to create a “safe zone” inside of Syria next to the Turkish border. The northwest cities of Hamah and Arpad are identified in Jeremiah chapter 49 as hearing reports about a coming invasion. Today this is exactly the area that Turkey wants to conquer! The invasion of Syria by Turkey is the next event to look for on our Bible Prophecy 2016 Timeline.

As I study these bible prophecies I am becoming more convinced that the Rapture of the Church will precede many of these events. As I watch these events forming on the world stage I am more convinced that the Rapture will happen within the next couple of years. I think that the Rapture of the Church will happen before the fall of Satan from heaven (Rev 12:12). I think that Satan will fall before the Turkish led invasion into Israel called Gog and Magog in Ezekiel 38 (Rev 12:15). I think that the Turkish led invasion into Israel will happen after Turkey invades Syria and destroys Damascus. I think that the Turkish led invasion into Israel may prompt a Turkey & Israel peace treaty which may mark the beginning of the seven year Tribulation period. These events take us into the first part of the seven year Tribulation period. All of these events will not happen in 2016.

Hi Craig. The Bible in the Book of Matthew 24:34 says this generation will not pass away until all these things have happened. I believe the generation period is 70 years. We are now 67 years since Israel became the country. Therefore I think the rapture will happen at anytime before 2018.

    1. Hi Fundile. Thank you for your comment. That may be referring to the generation of Jews that enters the Tribulation period.

I’ve found it interesting that at fall feast of Trumpets that the calendar becomes 5777, when the solar changes to 2017, on January 1, just an interesting pattern. I Like your chart.

    1. Thanks Bob

I think the arrows from the Rapture on could be moved up about 5 months. I am probably wrong but i really feel rapture is this summer. (yeah I know. Probably hopeful thinking)

    1. Hi David W. You could be right.

Hi Craig, I just found your website and haven’t even put a dent in it yet to read all your commentaries. I have to say that I’m amazed at the overwhelming consensus on the whole regarding end time prophecy.
However there are a number of sites that state ISIS is the Ten Nation Confederacy, whereas most others claim it’s the EU? Now I’m even more confused since England just voted to leave the EU and it’s created a firestorm of panic apparently across Europe.
What are your thoughts on this, or had you planned to cover it at a later date?

    1. Hi Mary. I think the ten horns are ten kings that rule over the next world empire. They do not necessarily represent a ten nation union.

I did write about the UK exiting the European Union.

  1. Hi Craig,
Is it possible that Israel via her “Samson Option” will be the one to level Damascus rather than Syria? I think we all agree that the destruction of Damascus is a precursor to the Gog-Magog conflict. Would this not be the event that triggers all of Israel’s immediate neighbors to launch a simultaneous invasion into Israel as described in Psalms 83? I guess I am not understanding how and why Turkey would be the one to destroy Damascus when both Turkey and Syria are Muslim majority countries. It just seems like somehow, we forget about Iran’s ambition to nuke Israel and the fact that Israel is standing alone right now. Are you suggesting that it is likely that Trump will win the white house and thus Israel will once again be able to count on the U.S. for military support? I think we all know that a Clinton term would not produce anything positive between the U.S. and Israel.

    1. Damascus probably won’t be nuked. Jeremiah says that God will send an army against Damascus. The ancient Assyrian kings conquered Syria and then invaded northern Israel. This is the same thing that the Antichrist will do.

Jeremiah 49:27 And I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, and it shall consume the palaces of Benhadad.

Most people count the average length of a generational age, but couldn’t that also refer to some remaining alive from that generation? Just as the flood wouldn’t come until Methuselah had died. In this instance, we are alive until the rapture takes us.

    1. Hi Mark. I’m not sure which generation that you are referring to but I think that the generation mentioned in the following verse means that the generation that enters the Tribulation period will also see Jesus Christ’s second coming to rescue Israel and to rule on earth forever. I don’t think that it refers to the generation that saw Israel become a nation.

Mat 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

I just for the first time came across your website and saw your mention of Turkey destroying Damascus before the joint forces attack Israel leading to the Rapture. How does what is happening right now in Iraq play into this? The attack on Mosul has begun with the Iraqi forces with backing of the US Special Forces from the South and a coalition of airpower and the Peshmerger Kurdish force from the North and now another group from Syria and Iran have come into the attack from the west however their plan is to attack Tar Alfar (Without looking that up I hope the spelling is correct) enroute. Turkey has said that there will be harsh repucushions if the Turkmen in Tar Alfar are killed or taken prisoner. Doesn’t this fit right into what you are saying? This action could provoke an attack on Damascus by Turkey.

    1. Hi Glenda. You have done a good job understanding what is happening in Mosul. The same three nations that plundered the ancient city of NIneveh are now attacking Mosul. Mosul is NIneveh. The Prophet Nahum may predict the flooding of ISIS in Mosul. Be sure to read my commentary titled The End of ISIS is near!

Could the killing of Turkmen in the fight for Mosul cause Erdogan to attack Damascus? Maybe although Erdogan doesn’t need an excuse to attack Damascus. Erdogan has been promising to remove Assad from power in Damascus for the past five years. Read my commentary titled The Nations are disquieted over Syria

Erodgan and Turkey are Sunni and have been secretly supporting ISIS. They are not Shia. If Erodgan goes into Syria, he will have to fight against Iran. I don’t see how Iran will align with Erodgan as they are supporting Al-Alassad in Syria. In order for the Gog-Magog War of Ezekiel to happen, Turkey and Iran have to come together.

Iran has been waiting for the hidden Imam, the Madhi to appear. Do you think they will accept Erodgan’s claim? In Revelation, the seat of Satan is located in Turkey, which is also called the throne of Zeus. Erodgan had a copy made after the original was taken to Germany.

    1. Hi Troy. Turkey and Iran have been making deals all along concerning Syria. Every nation that Ezekiel 38:5 says that Turkey will lead into Israel are right now fighting in the Golan Heights of Syria.

This is a great article about the recent Turkey Israeli agreement that sums up the current state of relations between the 2 countries. I think this cooperation will pave the way for the coming peace treaty with Israel, kind of a 1st step.

I hate to tell you all this, but there is no rapture. Matthew chapter 24 tels the order of things to come. Stop being decieved, not saying the deception is intentional, but if you read Matthew Jesus lays out how it’s going to go down…

    1. Rookie mistake. Matthew 24 is SO VERY CLEARLY written to the Jews living around Jerusalem that NOBODY should EVER be tempted to apply its verses to the Church. However, most Christians today still can’t see Jerusalem in Matthew 24.

It is a BIG MISTAKE to apply Matthew chapter 24 to Church age believers. Matthew chapter 24 is NOT about the Rapture of the Church. Matthew 24 is written directly to the Jews living in Jerusalem and the region around Jerusalem called Judea.

Matthew 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) 16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: 17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

If that isn’t enough evidence that Jesus is describing Jerusalem’s Great Tribulation, then look at Matthew 24:21 below. This is the verse that we get the term “Great Tribulation” from.

Matthew 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

Matthew 24:21 is quoting Jeremiah 30:7. Jeremiah calls the Tribulation “the time of Jacob’s trouble” not the time of the Church’s trouble. The seven year long Tribulation period is designated for Israel’s chastisement.

Jer 30:7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.

Matthew 24 should NOT be used to prove that Church age believers will go through the Tribulation. Matthew 24 should NOT be used to prove that there is no Rapture.

Read my Commentary titled Matthew 24
