Second Coming Wrath Path

Out of Egypt have I called my son.

Matthew 2:15

By Craig C. White

While dispensing God’s wrath at the second coming, Jesus will take a prescribed route. Many bible students think that Jesus will descend out of heaven and touch down on the Mount of Olives.

Zec 14:4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

At the second coming Jesus will in fact stand on the Mount of Olives but not at first. I think Jesus will take a more circuitous route during his Revelation. His route will be one that we have seen before. The route of Jesus Christ’s Second coming will be very similar to the route that Israel followed out of Egypt as God led them. Come with me as I follow the Revelation Wrath Path.

This commentary chronicles Jesus’ path of Revelation and vengeance during his second coming at the end of the tribulation. Surprisingly this journey does not begin in Jerusalem. As a matter of fact it doesn’t end in Jerusalem either. Instead God begins the Revelation of Jesus out of Egypt!

Num 24:8-9 God brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows. 9 He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up? Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee.

Hos 11:1 When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.

When Jesus was a boy God called him out of Egypt. Like many prophecies this one has two distinct applications separated by time. At Jesus’ second coming God will again call his son out of Egypt! That will be a day of wrath and revelation of righteous judgment.

Mat 2:15 And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.

Jesus will ride out of heaven into Egypt on a cloud. Trust me this is a scary cloud. The following verse was written long after God delivered the nation of Israel from Egypt; so it cannot pertain to Israel’s exodus out of Egypt. It is about Jesus’ second coming!

Isa 19:1-2 The burden of Egypt. Behold, the LORD rideth upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it. 2 And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom.

Verse 2 (above) sounds like what is happening in Egypt today, however when Jesus passes through Egypt; the people will be completely confounded. The Revelation of Jesus Christ will be terrifying.

Jer 4:13 Behold, he shall come up as clouds, and his chariots shall be as a whirlwind: his horses are swifter than eagles. Woe unto us! for we are spoiled.

Christ’s second coming is a whirlwind tour! Habakkuk prophesies about Jesus next location. Check out the Revelation Wrath Path map bellow for these bible locations. Remember that the route of the Revelation of Jesus is very similar to the route that Israel took out of Egypt.

Revelation Wrath Path

Revelation Wrath Path: Map of Jesus Christ’s return trip at the end of the 7 year tribulation period. Called “the day of the LORD”, or “the day of the LORD’S wrath”. Jesus will destroy all the armies that have come against Israel! It is a day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God (Rom 2:5).

Very interesting to read and hard to stop. – Alexandria

  1. Craig,

At the second coming of Jesus, what armies will Israel have left? Will these be clouds of witnesses, resurrected Jews, those saved out of the tribulation, or all of the above? I wouldn’t mind being part of the antichrist-a*^ kicking army after seven years of boot camp in heaven. There is a seen in the Return of the King (Lord of the Rings series) where the dead are raised to defeat the forces of evil. The special affects kind of look like a cloud of spirits kicking booty.

    1. I don’t think that Israel will have any armies left when Jesus returns. Israel and especially Jerusalem will have been overrun by its enemies.

At the time that Jesus travels through Jordan he says that he has fought against Israel’s enemies alone.

Isa 63:1-5 Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save. 2 Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat? 3 I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment. 4 For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come. 5 And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me.

While in Jordan Jesus will kill the armies that have gathered against the Judean refugees in Moab. These are the Jewish residents of Judea who have fled to Jordan for refuge during the three and one half year great tribulation period. That is what Psalm 83 is all about. When Jesus comes into Jerusalem from Jordan he will rescue the few remaining Jews who have waited for him on Mount Zion. Then the men from Judea who Jesus has just rescued will also fight in Jerusalem.

Zec 14:14 And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.

After Jesus delivers Jerusalem he will travel northward to trample the blood out of the armies that have gathered in the valley of Megiddo (Armageddon).

Rev 14:19-20 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. 20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.

  2. If look on the map after Egypt, the path of anger will pass through the city of Babylon, about its fall into the Revelation much has been written.

  3. The men of Judea will be a true special forces operation. I have often wondered if the raptured saints would be involved in the judgement of the unbelievers at the second coming. We are getting close to that day when we won’t be wondering anymore, but looking back at the fulfillment of His coming.
