Syria has threatened to attack the Golan Heights but Turkey will ultimately lead the forces that are now fighting in Syria into northern Israel
By Craig C. White
This week US President Donald Trump recognized that the Golan Heights belong to Israel. The Golan Heights is the mountainous region of northern Israel and southern Syria. Israel captured part of the Golan Heights from Syria in 1967. Iran, Turkey, and Russia joined European powers in sharply criticizing the US president, while Syria vowed to recover the area using “all available means”.
This is interesting in light of Bible history. In 734 BC Syria threatened to attack Israel. So Israel asked Assyria for help to fight against Syria. Assyria then conquered northern Syria and devastated Damascus. Then Assyria attacked northern Israel.
Today Turkey is playing the role of the Assyrian. In response to President Trump’s affirmation that the Golan Heights belongs to Israel, Turkish President Erdogan said that Turkey will never allow the legitimization of the Israeli occupation of the Golan Heights. Syrian President Assad is threatening military action on the Golan Heights. Turkish President Erdogan will never allow this. Erdogan wants to remove Assad from power in Damascus even more than he wants to remove Israel from the Golan Heights. If Syria attacks the Golan Heights then the US and Israel may ask Turkey for help fighting against the Syrian regime.
Meanwhile in Syria: This week Russia began removing troops and aircraft from Syria. Putin says that Russia will leave 1,000 troops in Syria. Also this week the US announced that ISIS has been completely vanquished in Syria. This signals the immediate withdrawal of US troops. The US reiterated its commitment and cooperation towards Turkey as a regional ally. Acting American defense chief Patrick Shanahan said “We are working closely with the Turks, our strategic partner. More importantly, we are on plan for our drawdown in Syria,”
Expect a showdown over the Golan Heights. Ezekiel chapter 38 describes Turkey as they lead the Islamic nations into the Golan Heights. Ezekiel says that God will turn them back. Nahum chapter 1 describes Jesus coming to the Golan Heights in a fiery whirlwind. Jesus will turn back the Turkish led invasion into the Golan Heights. Jesus will gather his Church at that time.
Turkish President Erdogan is the Antichrist. Turkey will destroy Damascus and then lead the forces that are now fighting in Syria into the Golan Heights of northern Israel. Jesus will return to stop them! These are the true signs of the end time.

I was thinking about one of your articles, where you asked the question “Will Israel ask Turkey for help in defending the Golan Heights?” Sorry if I misquoted that, but my rationale is: If Syria becomes a true threat to Israel, they might decide to ask or allow Turkey to remove the threat under the guise of protecting the Golan Heights. Wouldn’t this put Turkey and it’s allies in a perfect position to launch an attack against Israel?
Yep, that’s my point. Turkey would also have its opportunity to destroy Damascus.
