  • Princes of Turkey!

    Princes of Turkey!

    Most prominent among his brothers.

    Ezekiel 38: 1-3

    By Craig C. White

I know that most Bible prophecy teachers say that Magog in the Ezekiel 38 refers to Russia. It is High Time to recognize that Magog is not Russia! That view came about by transcribing “chief” (or the Hebrew “rosh”) to mean Russia (Eze 38:1-3). Transposing Hebrew words into English phonetic equivalents is not proper Bible prophecy interpretation technique. That technique is not used elsewhere to interpret Bible prophecy. Rosh means first or primary.

Magog is mentioned in the genealogies of Genesis 10 as well as 1Chronicles 1. Magog is mentioned alongside of his brothers Meshech, Tubal, and Gomer, plus a few more. It is interesting to note that most Bible prophecy teachers place Tubal, Gomer, Togarmah, and Meshech in today’s Turkey.

Magog, Meshech, Tubal, Gomer, and Togarmah are all people. As a matter of fact they are relatives. Magog, Meshech, Tubal and Gomer are brothers. Togarmah is Gomer’s son. They are among the first families to resettle the world after the devastation of Noah’s flood.

Gen 10:1-3 Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood. 2 The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras. 3 And the sons of Gomer; Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.

Magog, Meshech, Tubal, and Gomer are also sons of Japheth. Japheth and his sons all settled in today’s Turkey. You could call Japheth the King of Turkey. His sons are all Princes. Magog was the chief or most prominent Prince amongst his brothers. Princes were set over provinces.

Eze 38:1-3 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief Prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, 3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief Prince of Meshech and Tubal:

Now let’s allow the Bible to interpret the Bible. The theme of Princes settling and ruling over Provinces in a land is used in many other places in the Bible. The Princes of Israel are mentioned a bunch of times. Princes of other nations are also mentioned (1Sam 29:3, 2Sam 10:3, Esther 1:3, Esther 1:14, Psa 68:31, Psa 83:11, Isa 19:11, Isa 23:8, Isa 49:7, Jer 25:19, Jer 38:18, Eze 26:16, Eze 27:21, Dan 3:3, Mat 20:25, 1Co 2:6, plus many other verses). Princes typically refer to the sons of rulers. Here is an example of how princes were typically set over provinces in other countries.

Esther 1:14And the next unto him was Carshena, Shethar, Admatha, Tarshish, Meres, Marsena, and Memucan, the seven Princes of Persia and Media, which saw the king’s face, and which sat the first in the kingdom;)

So Magog was the son of Japheth. Japheth was the king of what we know as Turkey today. Magog and his brothers ruled over different provinces in the land we call Turkey today. Magog was the chief Prince of Meshech and Tubal. In other words, Magog was the most prominent Prince amongst his brothers. Remember that Meshech and Tubal settled in today’s Turkey. In prophetic terms Magog is the primary governor of Turkey. I would call him the Prime Minister. From 2003 to 2014 Turkey’s Prime Minister was Recep Tayyip Erdogan. He is the prime candidate to fulfill the end time role of Magog the primary governor of Turkey.

In Ezekiel chapter 38 Turkey leads an invasion into Israel along with Libya, Iran, and Sudan. All of these nations are fighting in Syria today. In Ezekiel chapter 39 the chief prince of Turkey leads the battle of Armageddon. The primary governor of Turkey is the Antichrist.

When will the dead be raised?

    By Craig C. White

For most people death is the end of life but not for the Christian. Believers living in the forgiving power of Jesus Christ’s death on the cross have three things that most people don’t. They have a promise of renewed life, a guarantee that that promise will be kept, and hope of physical resurrection.

Jesus promised that the dead will rise from the grave.

John 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

God promised the Old Testament Jews that the dead will rise.

Dan 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

So Christians have a promise but they also have a guarantee of resurrection and everlasting life. The Holy Spirit in us is our assurance of salvation and also of resurrection and new life!

Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

So the Holy Spirit inside of our hearts is our individual assurance that God will keep his promise to us.

Ephesians 1:14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

I am certain that I will live forever with Jesus because I have the Holy Spirit in my heart. Believe that Jesus Christ died to pay the penalty for your sins, and you will be saved from death. When you open your heart to God’s Holy Spirit then you will also receive the assurance of everlasting life.

Christians have a promise and a guarantee. But Christians also have a real reason to hope that God is able to keep his promise.

What hope do we have that we will be resurrected? Because Jesus was raised up bodily from the grave we have confidence that one day we will rise likewise!

Act 17:31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

Jesus Christ’s resurrection is tangible proof that God has the power to also raise us from death. That is a saying a lot.

1Co 15:3-4 Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

When will the dead be raised? I will tell you. When the Turkish Army leads the forces that are now fighting in Syria into the Golan Heights of northern Israel, then Jesus will return. At that time the dead will be raised and Christians will be taken away up into heaven in order to escape the coming time of trouble on earth! It is High Time for Christians to anticipate The Resurrection.

Job was alive long before Jesus rose from the dead. Job knew that one day he himself would be raised from the dead. Not only will believers in Christ rise but their bodies will be changed into everlasting bodies. This is the hope of the believer.

Job 14:14 If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.

    Anticipate The Resurrection

The book of Nahum says that Jesus is coming in a fiery whirlwind to fight on the Golan Heights. This passage concludes with this inscription “The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.” I think that Jesus will return to turn back the Turkish Army as they lead the forces that are now fighting in Syria into northern Israel. I think that the Resurrection and Rapture will happen at that time! It is High Time to Awake!

  • Jordan is all about refugees

    Jordan is all about refugees

    Jordan is all about refugees

    Damascus & Judea

    By Craig C. White

The Bible tells us that Jordan will be the home of many refugees during the end time.

Today about ten percent of Jordan’s population consists of refugees from Syria. When Damascus is destroyed many more Syrian refugees will flood into Jordan. They will head for the Jordanian town of Kerak. There is a large refugee camp in Kerak today.

Amos 1:5 I will break also the bar of Damascus, and cut off the inhabitant from the plain of Aven, and him that holdeth the sceptre from the house of Eden: and the people of Syria shall go into captivity unto Kir, saith the LORD.

Jordan will also be the home of many Israeli refugees during the Great Tribulation. They may also head for Kerak in the Moab region of Jordan. There is an ancient fortress there. Jordan will eventually turn against these Jewish refugees.

Isaiah 16:4 Let mine outcasts dwell with thee, Moab; be thou a covert to them from the face of the spoiler: for the extortioner is at an end, the spoiler ceaseth, the oppressors are consumed out of the land.

Israeli’s from around Jerusalem are warned to flee to Jordan during the Great Tribulation. They will be sheltered and fed there for three and one half years. Psalm 83 is a prayer for help for the refugees as Jordan turns against them.

Psalm 83:3  They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.

Jesus Christ will wipe out Jordan at the end of the Tribulation.

Isaiah 34:6 The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, and with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams: for the LORD hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Idumea.

When Jesus arrives in Jerusalem his clothed will be saturated with the blood of Jordanians and also with the blood of the other armies that have gathered in Jordan to destroy the Israeli refugees.

Isaiah 63:1 Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.

Jordan will also escape the clutches of the Antichrist!

Daniel 11:41 He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.

In the verses above, Edom, Moab, and Ammon are all ancient provinces in the country we now call Jordan.

    of five end time battles

    By Craig C. White

God is pretty smart. He wants to teach us about end time events. So God has patterned world history to reflect events that we can now expect to see happen.

I want to point out five paths that are designated by arrows and dots on the Patterns and Paths map. They represent the five major end time battles that will be fought over Israel.

First look at the the black dots; they represent the path that the Turkish Army will follow on their way to destroy Damascus and then invade Israel. Turkey will begin their warpath by harassing the northwestern Syria cities of Hamah and Tell Rifaat. The Turkish Army is amassing near Hamah and Tell Rifaat now. Jeremiah 49:23-27 is all about the Turkish Army as they march from northwestern Syria southward to destroy Damascus. In Jeremiah 49:23 below, the city of Tell Rifaat is called Arpad. Read my commentary titled The nations are disquieted over Syria.

Jeremiah 49:23 Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.

After Turkey destroys Damascus they will then lead the forces that are now fighting in Syria into the Golan Heights of Israel. Ezekiel chapter 38 describes Turkey as they lead Iran, Sudan, and Libya in an invasion into Israel. In the next verse Persia is called Iran today and the Hebrew word that is translated as “Ethiopia” is really the name Cush. Cush settled in the land south of Egypt. The major nation that is located south of Egypt today is Sudan.

Ezekiel 38:5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:

This is known as the battle of Gog and Magog. Ezekiel chapter 39 describes another battle called Gog and Magog. That battle is the same as the battle of Armageddon and happens at the end of the Tribulation. But every nation that is listed in Ezekiel chapter 38 is now fighting in Syria. So we can expect the first battle of Gog and Magog to happen after Turkey destroys Damascus. Read my commentary titled Magog Made Easy!

The Turkish conquest of Syria and the following invasion into northern Israel follows along the same path as the Assyrian conquest of Syria and subsequent invasion of northern Israel in 734 BC. The Assyrian attack is a model for the Turkish attack that is now forming in Syria!

Next let’s talk about the path represented by the white dots. After Turkey destroys Damascus then I think that they will lead the forces that are fighting in Syria into the Golan Heights of Israel. The Golan Heights are located just thirty miles south of Damascus.

Nahum 1:4 describes Jesus Christ as he passes over the Golan Heights. As he passes he will burn the ground with a fiery heat.

Nahum 1:4 He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth.

The book of Nahum is mostly about the destruction and flooding of ancient Nineveh. Today Nineveh is called Mosul in northern Iraq. Mosul is the hometown and headquarters of ISIS. I think that when the Turkish Army reaches the Golan Heights that then Jesus will return in the air to turn back the armies that Turkey has led into northern Israel. Next Jesus will travel to Mosul to flood the city and judge the ISIS fighters that have gathered there for one last rebellion. Read my commentary titled Jesus will fight on the Golan Heights.

This is the same path that Jonah took to Nineveh. Jesus promised the religious leaders of his day that he would give them the sign of Jonah (Mat 12:39). So the coming of Jesus in the air and the flooding of Mosul may be the one sign to Israel before their tribulation begins that Jesus is truly their Messiah. As we will see, the Resurrection and Rapture of gentile believers may also be part of the sign of Jonah!

Nahum also says that Jesus will save those people who trust in him.

Nahum 1:7 The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.

So Jesus is coming in the air in heat and fury. He will pass over the Golan Heights and then travel to Mosul in northern Iraq. I think that while Jesus dispenses his wrath against Israel’s enemies he will also gather Christians in the Resurrection and Rapture. Yes that’s what I said. The Rapture will happen when the Turkish Army reaches the Golan heights of Israel! They are in Syria now and headed towards Damascus and then on to Israel.

Now on to the purple path. During the middle of the seven year long Tribulation period the armies of the Antichrist will launch a surprise attack on Jerusalem and Judea. The attack will come from Egypt. Read my commentary titled Before the Great Tribulation – The Antichrist will invade Egypt then Israel.

In Matthew chapter 24 the residents of Jerusalem and Judea are instructed to watch for the coming invasion and to flee into the desert wilderness east of Jerusalem. If the residents of Judea do not watch then they will be killed or be taken away suddenly just like the wicked inhabitants of the earth were taken away by Noah’s flood. Read my commentary titled Matthew 24.

Guess what; the mid-Tribulation attack on Jerusalem and Judea is also patterned for us in ancient history. In 167 BC the army of Antiochus Epiphanes suddenly attacked Jerusalem from Egypt. The attack was devastating with many Jews being killed. Antiochus instructed his soldiers to take every other Jew away captive as slaves. In that way one Jew was taken and the other Jew was left in Jerusalem. Matthew chapter 24 tells us that the same thing will happen when the Antichrist invades Jerusalem and Judea beginning three and one half years of Jerusalem’s great tribulation.

Matthew 24:40-41 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Read my commentary titled One shall be taken and the other left.

Now let’s talk about the path that is represented by the yellow dots on our map. I think that this is the path that Jesus will follow when he returns at his second coming. This is the same path that Israel took when they left Egypt. If you will remember, Israel was led by a pillar of cloud and fire. So God himself determined Israel’s route of travel. This foretold Jesus Christ’s own route when he returns to defeat Israel’s enemies leading up to the battle of Armageddon. Read my commentary titled Revelation Wrath Path.

I would like to point out that the Psalm 83 war will take place in Jordan at the end of the Tribulation period. This is part of Jesus Christ’s yellow path of vengeance. Jesus will rescue the Jewish refugees living in Jordan before he enters Jerusalem. Psalm 83 is a cry for God’s help by the Jews who have fled from Judea (the region around Jerusalem) when they saw the armies of the Antichrist approaching Jerusalem. The Bible says that the residents of Judea must flee when they see a sign in the temple called the abomination of desolation.

Mark 13:14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:

The residents of Judea will take refuge in the Moab region of Jordan for three and one half years. At the end of that time Jordan, Lebanon, and northern Iraq will conspire together to finally eliminate the last remaining enclave of Jews. Read my commentary titled Psalm 83 War.

Finally the Battle of Armageddon is represented by one blue arrow on the Patterns and Paths map. The arrow begins in the valley of Megiddo (that’s what Armageddon means) in northern Israel and ends near the Dead Sea. Revelation says that the blood of Israel’s enemies will flow for this entire length.

Revelation 14:20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.

You see, at his second coming Jesus will first save the Jewish refugees living in Jordan (spoken of in Psalm 83) and then he will save Jerusalem. Jesus will then travel outside of the city of Jerusalem to trample Israel’s enemies like grapes.

Here is the prayer of the Jewish refugees living in Jordan during the second half of the Tribulation. They are asking God to defeat Israel’s enemies just like Gideon did long ago. The following verses describe the armies that were destroyed by the Israeli Army while led by Gideon (Judges 4 & 8). The bloodshed of these battles started in the valley of Megiddo and ended in western Jordan near the Dead Sea.

Psalm 83:9 Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison: 10 Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth. 11 Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna: 12 Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession. 13 O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind. 14 As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire; 15 So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm. 16 Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD. 17 Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish: 18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.

The Psalm 83 refugees are asking God to defeat Israel’s enemies beginning in the valley of Megiddo. Jesus Christ will answer their prayer personally as he tramples out the vintage of the blood of his enemies outside of the city of Jerusalem from Megiddo to the Dead Sea! This passage proves that the Psalm 83 rescue of Judean refugees in Jordan will happen just before the battle of Armageddon.

Turkey is in position to begin their march to Damascus and then on to the Golan Heights. I think that Jesus will return to cause them to retreat. At that time Jesus will also collect his Church. There is a terrible time coming upon Israel and also upon all the world! Jesus is coming soon!

  • You don’t set up a person – Sitting in the temple of God is different than standing in the Holy place

You don’t set up a person – Sitting in the temple of God is different than standing in the Holy place

You don’t set up a person

Sitting in the temple of God is different than standing in the Holy place

    By Craig C. White

Most everybody assumes that the temple of God in 2Thessalonians 2:4 is the end time Jewish temple in Jerusalem.

2Thessalonians 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

If you read 2Thessalonians chapter 2 you will see that the apostle Paul does not specify that this temple is either Jewish or is located in Jerusalem. There is no mention of temple sacrifice and no warning for those in Judea to flee. The word that is translated as temple can refer to any temple or shrine.

Another thing, in 2Thessalonians chapter 2 Paul says that two events must happen before the Tribulation period can begin. They are the fall of Satan from heaven to earth and the revealing of the Antichrist as he sits in the temple of God showing himself that he is God. So these events happen before the Tribulation.

On the other hand the abomination of desolation standing in the holy place will happen during the middle of the seven year long Tribulation period. The abomination of desolation will start Jerusalem’s three and one half years of great tribulation (Matthew 24:21). So if we think about it the Antichrist sitting in the temple of God will happen at a different time than the abomination of desolation.

Another thing to consider is that the Antichrist will sit while the abomination of desolation will stand or be set up. Sitting is different than standing and you don’t set up a person. In Matthew the abomination will stand in the holy place.

Matthew 24:15-17 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) 16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: 17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

In Daniel the abomination of desolation will be set up. This is different than sitting in the temple of God. You don’t need to set up a person who is sitting. Haven’t you ever wondered about this?

Daniel 12:11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

Today we can clear our minds of all confusion because the Antichrist has already sat in the temple of God showing himself that he is God. On July 24th 2020 Turkish President Erdogan sat in the Hagia Sophia Cathedral in Istanbul Turkey exalting himself above Christ. According to 2Thessalonians 2:4 Erdogan officially revealed himself as the Antichrist. That means that the Tribulation period can now begin. It is High Time to Awake!

It’s High Time to gain a mature understanding of Matthew chapter 24

Trust me it’s better to figure this out now than after you meet Jesus

    By Craig C. White

Matthew chapter 24 has nothing to do with the Church or with the Rapture. Matthew chapter 24 is directed to Jerusalem and Judea during their seven years of Tribulation. One Jew in Jerusalem will be taken away as prisoner and the other left when the Antichrist attacks Jerusalem. Earthquakes, wars, and famines are signs that happen during the first half of the Tribulation. They are signs to Israel that their great tribulation is about to begin.

The days of Noah do not apply to pre-tribulation or pre-rapture events. Like Noah’s generation was taken away suddenly, the Jews in Jerusalem will be overtaken suddenly by the armies of the Antichrist. Nobody knows the day and hour that the Antichrist will attack Jerusalem and Judea. That’s why Jesus told the residents of Jerusalem to watch.

Applying Matthew chapter 24 to the Church is a recent popular development. Throughout Church history Bible scholars have firmly understood that Jesus is talking to and about the Jews living in Jerusalem and Judea. Even today real Bible scholars understand this. Unfortunately they are few and far between. It is very apparent that Jesus is addressing the Jews if only you read the chapter without popular bias.

Yes we are in the last days but Matthew chapter 24 doesn’t apply now. In fact, the Rapture of the Church will happen before the beginning of sorrows mentioned in Matthew 24. It’s High Time to gain a mature understanding of the Scriptures. It’s High Time to Awake!

  • The nations are disquieted over Syria

The nations are disquieted over Syria

The nations are disquieted over Syria

verse by verse through Jeremiah 49:23-27

    By Craig C. White

According to the Prophet Jeremiah the destruction of Damascus begins at Hamah and Arpad. The Turkish Army is amassed near Hamah and Arpad right now!

Jeremiah 49:23 Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.

Jeremiah 49:23-27 goes on to say that after the Syrian towns of Hamah and Arpad hear reports of a coming invasion then the residents of Damascus will flee and Damascus will be destroyed. Today the Syrian town of Apad is called Tell Rifaat.

The Prophet Jeremiah asks the question “How is Damascus not there?”. Damascus is the oldest continually inhabited city in the world. One day it will no longer exist.

Jeremiah 49:23 Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.

What is Jeremiah telling us? Obviously this prophecy is concerning Damascus, Syria. In the verse above, Jeremiah mentions two cities. Hamath and Arpad (or modern day Tell Rifaat) are both located in northwestern Syria near the Turkish border. Today Hamah is Syria’s fifth largest city.. Hamah is further south but still close to the Turkish border. Arpad is modern day Tell Rifaat located about 25 miles north of Aleppo and about 20 miles south of the Turkish border. These cities are located along the path of an invasion launched from Turkey headed towards Damascus.

According to Jeremiah 49:23 the people of northwestern Syria will hear intelligence reports; possibly that the Turkish army is about to invade Syria. The army’s target is Damascus and they are coming through their cities! The people of northwestern Syria are terrified. Their hearts faint with fear

There is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet. The sea in Bible prophecy can refer to the Mediterranean Sea when it is accompanied with the definite article “the”. The sea can also refer to the nations in general. There is no article used here in the original Hebrew but I still think that Jeremiah is referring to the Mediterranean Sea because of its close proximity to Syria. I think that Jeremiah is saying that the nations that are located around the Mediterranean Sea will have great anxiety over the coming Turkish invasion into Syria. The Hebrew word translated sorrow means anxiety, fearfulness, carefulness, or heaviness.

So the nations will be very nervous concerning the coming Turkish invasion into Syria. The Turkish army’s goal is the destruction of Damascus. The English says it well here. The nations will not be able to be still. The Hebrew word translated quiet is defined below. The nations of the world will not be able to be at rest. They are already feeling uneasy concerning Syria.

    quiet – shâqat, shaw-kat’

A primitive root; to repose (usually figuratively): – appease, idleness, (at, be at, be in, give) quiet (-ness), (be at, be in, give, have, take) rest, settle, be still.

Jeremiah 49:24 Damascus is waxed feeble, and turneth herself to flee, and fear hath seized on her: anguish and sorrows have taken her, as a woman in travail.

Damascus is waxed feeble. This is the idea of failing in your old age. Damascus is about to die. Damascus turneth herself to flee. This could refer to the city preparing to relinquish its life and it could also refer to the cities inhabitants as they attempt to escape.

The Hebrew word translated fear means to tremble with terror. Anguish and sorrows have taken her, as a woman in travail; literally Damascus is feeling a localized tightness like a woman about to give birth.

Jeremiah 49:25 How is the city of praise not left, the city of my joy!

Two different Hebrew words for city are used in the verse above. The city of praise is a fortified city that has been celebrated in song. When God says “how is the city not left” he could be communicating his astonishment that even after a terrible assault on Damascus, the city has still not surrendered. When God calls Damascus “the city of my joy!” he is specifically saying that he delights in the cities old buildings. So we are looking for the destruction of the old part of the city. The neighborhood of “Old Damascus” is the capital of Syria. Damascus is the oldest continually inhabited city on earth. It was founded by the Aramaeans over four thousand years ago, and was inhabited two thousand years before that. Damascus is a living depiction of human history.

Jeremiah 49:26 Therefore her young men shall fall in her streets, and all the men of war shall be cut off in that day, saith the LORD of hosts.

In this verse the young men are contrasted to the men of war. The men of war obviously represent the Syrian Army. Lately Syrian citizens have joined Assad and the Syrian Army to help defend their country. The Syrian National Defense Force is a newly formed civilian guard. I think that the Syrian National Defense Force could be represented by the young men in this verse.

It sounds like the young men of Damascus will stay behind to defend the city. Perhaps they will be the first line of defense. The young men of Damascus will die in its streets. The Syrian Army will be bunkered in Damascus. When God says that all the men of war shall be cut off he means that every Syrian soldier will die defending Damascus.. Jeremiah isn’t necessarily saying that this assault on Damascus will last only one day. That day refers to the entire duration be it one day or longer.

Jeremiah 49:27 And I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, and it shall consume the palaces of Benhadad.

The phrase “kindle a fire” leads many to imagine a nuclear explosion but that is not what is pictured here. The terminology “kindle a fire” is used in several other Bible passages. The terminology “kindle a fire” mean that God will send an army against a city or a nation. I think that God will send the Turkish army against Damascus.

Many so called Bible scholars claim that the destruction of Damascus has already taken place. They say that the Assyrian conquest of Damascus in 734 BC fulfills the Damascus prophecy. Well Damascus was conquered by Assyria in 734 BC and several cities around Damascus were burned with fire but Damascus has never been completely destroyed.

Jeremiah was a prophet around 600 BC. Jeremiah gave his prophecy one hundred years after Assyria conquered Damascus. So the Assyrian conquest of Damascus can not possibly fulfill Jeremiah’s prophecy. The Assyrians conquered Damascus in 734 BC. I think that Jeremiah is prophesying about an invasion of Damascus that is forming now.

In Jeremiah 49:27, The palaces of Benhadad refer to the ancient thrones of Syrian Kings in Damascus. Like the ancient invasion, this future invasion will also destroy Syria’s seat of government in the neighborhood of Old Damascus.

So the Turkish army will march down from Syria’s northwestern border terrorizing cities along the way. Their goal is the destruction of Damascus. The nations of the world will be in a tumult. They will not be able to calm down. Damascus will prepare to die. The people will flee and the young men and army will fight to the death never surrendering. The oldest city on earth will be destroyed along with its historical buildings. Jeremiah describes a city under siege not a city obliterated by a single bomb.

    How can this be?

Turkish President Erdogan revealed as Antichrist

    By Craig C. White

Turkish President Erdogan revealed himself as the Antichrist in the Hagia Sophia Cathedral in Istanbul.

2Thessalonians 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Christians have been asking me how can the Hagia Sophia be “the temple of God” in 2Thessalonians? First of all, the Greek word that is translated as “temple” in 2Thessalonians 2:4 can refer to any temple or shrine so don’t get hung up thinking that it can only refer to the Jewish temple in Jerusalem.

The Hagia Sophia is called a temple in this seemingly prophetic Turkish poem. Resurrection of an empire and conquest are its themes. These are the primary goals of Satan.

“Hagia Sophia! O great temple, do not worry, the descendants of the conqueror will destroy all idols, turn you into a mosque, perform ablution with their tears, and make prostration between your walls, and the cheering and magnification will repeat among your domes. And this will be the second conquest, and the poets will write about the epics, and the call to prayer will again be heard and the sounds of enlargement from those silent orphan minarets, and the balconies of your minarets will glow in the lights in the sanctification of God and the honor of his prophet, so that people will think that the conqueror has resurrected again. The second will be resurrected after death. This is sure, do not worry, and these days are close, perhaps tomorrow or closer to tomorrow. ”

By Turkish poet Osman Yuksel Serdinci, who was sentenced to death in the early 1980s because of his struggle to reopen Hagia Sophia as a mosque.

The Hagia Sophia is the perfect place to reveal the Antichrist. The Ottoman Empire converted it into a mosque. After the fall of the Ottoman Empire the Hagia Sophia was turned into a museum. By turning the Hagia Sophia back into a mosque Turkish President Erdogan is proclaiming himself as the Sultan of a new Ottoman Empire. A renewed Ottoman Empire will oppress Israel during the Tribulation. Satan has been the influence behind every world empire.

Pastor Steve Cioccolanti recognizes the significance of the conversion of the Hagia Sophia into a mosque. He recognizes that the Antichrist will come from a revived Turkish ruled Ottoman Empire. I agree with Pastor Steve Cioccolanti. Two witnesses have confirmed this for you.

Turkish President Erdogan has revealed himself as the Antichrist by sitting in the Hagia Sophia exalting himself above the Christian God. A red line has been drawn for Christians who insist on looking for a European Antichrist. Opportunity to rightly watch for Christ’s return is dwindling. The Tribulation is at our doorstep.

Pastor Cioccolanti recognizes that Erdogan’s subjugation of the Hagia Sophia is a monumental event. But this isn’t the first thing that identifies Turkish President Erdogan as being the Antichrist.

Erdogan is Magog the chief prince among the provinces of Turkey. According to Ezekiel chapter 38 Turkey will lead the Islamic nations into Israel.

Eze 38:2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,

Erdogan has built the largest palace in the world in Ankara. He is not honoring Allah but Erdogan is honoring the God of Ottoman conquest in his palace with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things

Dan 11:38 But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.

Erdogan has built several mosques in Istanbul including the largest in Turkey that is dedicated to the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire. Erdogan has built the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in Istanbul. Better look on a map. There is no other place on earth that could better be described as between the seas than the Bosporus.

Dan 11:45 And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.

The head of the seventh world empire will be healed. That means that a revived Turkish ruled Ottoman Empire must be the end time empire that will oppress Israel. The head of the Ottoman Empire is being healed in front our eyes. How is it that we can’t see it?

Rev 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

Turkish President Erdogan had already fulfilled Bible prophecy that identifies him as the Antichrist. On Friday July 24th 2020 Erdogan was officially revealed as the Antichrist as he sat in the Hagia Sophia exalting himself above the Christian God.

We as Christians are commanded to watch as the day of Jesus’ return approaches. I mean the day of the Rapture.

Rev 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

Rev 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

In order to properly watch we must know what the Bible says. Then we must recognize the signs of our time. I am afraid that very few Christians really do understand what God has been trying to tell them. Many hold odd popularized views that haven’t really been searched out. Many have rebuked me for declaring that the Antichrist has been revealed. There are consequences for holding wrong views. Pretty soon people won’t have the luxury of holding wrong views about Bible prophecy. They will just become victims of it. It’s High Time to Awake!

Turkish President Erdogan is the Antichrist

    By Craig C. White

Besides building the largest palace in the world in Turkey’s capital city of Ankara; Turkish President Erdogan is on a building spree of Mosques in Istanbul.

Daniel 11:45 says that the Antichrist will “plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain”. Turkish President Erdogan is building several Mosques in Istanbul including a controversial Mosque in Taksim square. Taksim square has long been a site dedicated to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk founder of the republic of Turkey and proponent of Turkey’s western philosophy. By building a Mosque in Taksim square Erdogan is shunning Turkey’s one hundred years of democracy and is moving Turkey back towards its Ottoman Empire Islamist ways. Erdogan has also built the largest Mosque in Turkey. The Çamlıca Mosque overlooks the Bosphorus connecting the Black Sea to the Sea of Marmara. Every Mosque in Istanbul could be described as being between the seas. But the Çamlıca Mosque is built on the highest point in Istanbul. The Çamlıca Mosque was inaugurated on July 1, 2016. The Çamlıca Mosque is dedicated to the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire. Obviously Erdogan is identifying himself as the new Turkish Sultan and rightful ruler of all of Islam.

Daniel 11:45 And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.

    Hanukkah 2022: Dec 18 – Dec 26

    By Craig C. White

The Hebrew word Hanukkah means “dedication”. Hanukkah is the Jewish celebration of the re-dedication of the temple in Jerusalem in 165 B.C. Hanukkah is celebrated for eight days beginning on the 25th day of the Hebrew month Kislev. While Hanukkah is not one of the appointed Jewish holy days (Leviticus 23, Numbers 29); it is mentioned in the Bible. It was prophesied in Daniel 8:14, also Jesus attended a Hanukkah celebration in John 10: 22-23.

In 175 B.C. Israel was under the rule of a wicked Grecian king named Antiochus Epiphanes. He was king over one quarter of the Grecian empire known as the Seleucid dynasty, headquartered in Syria. Antiochus Epiphanes robbed the temple in Jerusalem of its gold and holy vessels. He ended the daily sacrifice, and sacrificed pigs on the Jewish alter. Then he declared that he should be worshiped as God instead of the God of Israel. In 171 B.C. the high priest of Israel (Onias III) was murdered and false Priests were installed in temple worship.

In 167 B.C. a group of Hebrew rebels from Judea (which is the region around Jerusalem), known as the Maccabees began to fight the Syrian authorities in Jerusalem. The Maccabees regained control of the temple, and in 165 B.C. on the 25th day of the Hebrew month of Kislev the Jewish people resumed the daily sacrifice (1 Maccabees 4:52). This is the day that Israel celebrates Hanukkah (the dedication of the temple).

Hanukkah, or the day that the temple sacrifice would continue was prophesied in Daniel 8:14. God told Daniel about Hanukkah in 551 B.C. (Daniel 8: 1).

Daniel 8:14 And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

Daniel 8:14 says that the temple will be defiled for 2300 days; or that sacrifices will be interrupted for 2300 days. If you count 2300 days from the day that the high priest Onias III was murdered in 171 B.C. you come to Kislev 25, 165 B.C. That is the day of Hanukkah!

Jesus celebrated Hanukkah! In verse 22 below, the “feast of the dedication” is the same as Hanukkah.

John 10:22-30 And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter. 23 And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon’s porch. 24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly. 25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me. 26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and my Father are one.

Happy Hanukkah from High Time to Awake!
