Turkey’s Expanding Military Presence

The Turkish military has been steadily spreading throughout the Middle East for the past few years. For over a decade Turkish President Erdogan has been threatening to conquer Syria and to remove Syrian President Assad from power in Damascus. Erdogan has called on all of Islam to unite under a Turkish ruled Caliphate and for the most part the Islamic world is cooperating. It amazes me that news reporters recognize expanding Turkish ambitions while Christians are completely oblivious. The Bible tells us that the last past world empire would be reestablished and that it would sorely oppress Israel. We are witnessing the birth-pangs of a revived Ottoman Empire now.
Revelation 17:10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. 11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
There were five past world empires when the Apostle John wrote the book of Revelation. Rome was the current world empire making six. The Turkish ruled Ottoman Empire was the next and only world empire to follow making seven. The eighth world empire will be a revived Ottoman Empire. That means that we should expect a Turkish ruler to be the Antichrist.
The revived Turkish ruled Ottoman Empire is the beast that will invade and oppress Israel for three and one half years. Turkish President Erdogan is the Antichrist.
The following article has a map of Turkish military presence in the Middle East. It will give you an idea of where Turkey is expanding its empire next. Turkey has soldiers in Turkey, Syria, and Iraq and also has a close relationship with Iran. These are the only four nations that sit along the Euphrates River.
Rev 9:14-16 Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. 15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. 16 And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.
Turkey also has plans to invade northern Africa including Egypt. Turkey has also demanded to be given territory in the Greek Isles and Cypress.

Turkish President Erdogan is the head of the 57 member states Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The OIC is a council of Islamic nations and is the largest voting block in the UN. Erdogan has called for all Islamic nations to unite to fight against Israel and to eliminate the influence of the West in the Middle East. Many nations have already pledged loyalty to Erdogan as their promised Mahdi or Sultan of a new Islamic Empire.
Erdogan plans to unite the Islamic world under a revived Turkish ruled Ottoman Empire starting with Syria. After Turkey conquers Syria and installs Muslim Brotherhood leadership in Damascus then I expect Turkey, Syria, Iraq, and Iran to form a Union. This is the basis for the revived Ottoman Empire. I expect Libya, Sudan, Qatar, and Somalia to quickly join. Erdogan also has plans to attack Egypt and to reinstall Muslim Brotherhood leadership there. The conquest of northern Africa by the Antichrist is described in Daniel chapter 11. Erdogan has also threatened to attack the Greek Isles and Cypress.
Revelation 17:10-11 tells us that the last world empire (Ottoman Empire) must be re-established during the end time. The formation of the revived Ottoman Empire is something that will happen mostly during the Tribulation period so the return of Jesus Christ for his Church must be near. It is High Time to Awake!

Now if I could only reach Christians

Several news articles have been published in major Turkish and international news outlets critiquing my book “Turkey invades Israel – Halfway to Armageddon“. These Turkish journalists and scholars are somewhat alarmed over my position that Turkish President Erdogan is the biblical Antichrist. I suppose that that is understandable. They are also upset that I have said that the Turkish Army has entered Syria and will continue to Damascus and then enter the Golan Heights of Israel.
I have been telling people about Turkey’s role in end time Bible prophecy from the scriptures for the past nine years on my website hightimetoawake.com. I don’t think that most Turks are receiving my book “Turkey invades Israel – Halfway to Armageddon” as a message from God. But my book is in fact just that; a message from God and from his prophets. I am studying the Holy Bible and reporting what it says.
Turkish journalists have read my book “Turkey Invades Israel – Halfway to Armageddon” and have understood that the Bible predicts that Turkey will conquer Syria first and then invade northern Israel. That is pretty smart. At least they do understand my message. That is a better response than I have received from most Christians over the past nine years. I am glad that at least somebody is finally listening.
If only Christians would wake up to understand the truth of end time events as the Bible describes them. Turkey will soon attack Hamah and Tell Rifaat as Jeremiah 49:23 says. Then Turkey will destroy Damascus (Jeremiah 49:23-27). Afterwards Turkey will lead the forces that are now fighting in Syria into the Golan Heights of Israel (Ezekiel 38). Expect Jesus Christ to return to turn them back (Nahum 1). At that time Jesus will also gather his Church. It is High Time to Awake!

Christians should not be surprised.

I am not surprised by Turkey’s recent military alliance with Iran even though Turkey is predominantly Sunni Muslim and Iran is Shiite. Turkey and Iran have been getting cozy for years. Probably five years ago the Iranian Hezbollah leader announced that Hezbollah (Shiite from Iran and Lebanon) and Al-Qaeda (Sunni from Libya, Sudan and elsewhere) were planning a joint attack on Israel. He said that they were going into the Galilee region. That would mean an invasion launched from southern Syria into the Golan Heights. All of these forces have been fighting in Syria for the past eight years. Ezekiel 38:5 says that Turkey will lead Iran, Libya, and Sudan into Israel. If any Christian is surprised that the Ezekiel chapter 38 Turkish led invasion into Israel is about to happen then they haven’t been paying attention for a long time.
Yes I think that Turkey will attack Hamah and Tell Rifaat in northwestern Syria and then destroy Damascus very soon (Jeremiah 49:23-27). The Turkish Army is already amassed in Idlib province located next to Hamah. Turkish proxy forces have been battling the Syrian Army in Hamah for the past two years. The Turkish Army is also in Azaz, Syria located just to the north of Tell Riffat. Their stated goal is the conquest of Kurdish held Tell Rifaat. Tell Rifaat is called Arpad in Jeremiah 49:23. Jeremiah says that after Hamah and Tell Rifaat hear about a coming invasion then the residents of Damascus will flee and then Damascus will be destroyed. Turkish President Erdogan also admitted that the sole reason why the Turkish Army has entered Syria is to remove Syrian President Assad from power in Damascus.
After Turkey along with the Free Syrian Army and Al-Qaeda forces destroy Damascus then I think that Turkey will lead the Iranian Army, Hezbollah from Iran, and also lead the Free Syrian Army (Al-Qaeda from Libya, Sudan and elsewhere) into Israel. God will cause these invaders to retreat by using the forces of nature against them (Ezekiel 38). I think that Israeli Rabbis will interpret this invasion as being the battle of Armageddon. According to the Bible, lasting peace for Israel follows after the battle of Armageddon. So Israel will make their peace treaty with Turkey and with Turkish President Erdogan (the Antichrist). The cry of the day will be peace and safety.
I think that somewhere in the midst of these events that the Church will be resurrected and taken away into heaven. So we are close.

Image of the beast

The end time is marked by the revival of the last world empire. Most Bible teachers identify this world empire as Rome but they overlook the only other world empire to exist since Rome fell. Between 1299-1923 the Turkish ruled Ottoman Empire conquered territory from western Europe to India. There have been other empires but none of them were world empires. To qualify as a “world empire” a nation must rule a contiguous land mass covering multiple quadrants of the old world; namely Europe, Russia, Africa, and western Asia. Turkey is right in the middle of all of these regions. The revival of the Turkish ruled Ottoman Empire marks the end time, and Turkish President Erdogan is ambitiously rebuilding it. To celebrate the one year anniversary of the failed military coup in Turkey, Erdogan has erected a giant statue commemorating the rise again of the Ottoman Empire. He also hinted at reunification of all Islamic nations under Turkish rule. Tek Devlet “One State” the image read. Sounds like the tower of Babylon all over again. Please notice that this statue does not honor the god of Islam but is does honor the god of Turkish military conquest (the god of forces).

The Bible tells us that an image will be made representing the next world empire. Revelation 13:14 seems to suggest that the “False Prophet” will command that this image should be made. Anybody who does not worship the image will be killed. The beast in Revelation 13:15 is the end time world empire. The beast can also describe the ruler of the next world empire. Is Erdogan’s statue the image of the beast mentioned in Revelation? Maybe. Turkish President Erdogan’s pillar certainly qualifies as an image of a revived Ottoman Empire.
Rev 13:15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
Remember when Erdogan gave a speech as a nine foot tall hologram? That also qualifies as an image that represents the ruler of a revived Ottoman Empire. The hologram could also speak. Any way that you slice it, Erdogan is on the move to reestablish a Turkish ruled empire.
So many Christians balk when I identify the Antichrist. They say that nobody can know, and that we shouldn’t be looking for the Antichrist. What a mistake. The Bible gives us a lot of information about the identity and actions of the Antichrist. We ought not neglect its warnings. It is especially important to warn Israel of its coming time of trouble. If we love Israel then we should be concerned about their welfare. It is shameful that this never enters the minds of so many Christians. When asked about the timing of the Rapture and the Tribulation period, the Apostle Paul said that the Antichrist would rise before the Tribulation begins. Recognizing the identity of the Antichrist warns us that the Tribulation on Earth is about to begin. It also warns believers that they are about to meet their Lord and savior.
Turkish President Erdogan is the Antichrist. The Bible tells us that he will invade Hamah and Tell Rifaat in northwestern Syria, destroy Damascus, lead an invasion into northern Israel, invade Egypt by many ships and much more. Erdogan has already promised to do all of these things. It is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed (Rom 13:11) .

Ezekiel 38:5 describes Turkey as they lead Iran into Israel. So we know that at some point Turkey and Iran will become allies. In Jeremiah 49:23 the northwestern Syria cities of Hamah and Tell Rifaat will hear evil reports.
Iran has been fighting to keep Syrian President Assad in power in Damascus. What if Iran changes sides in Syria? What if Iran decides to align itself with Turkey instead of with the Syrian Assad regime?
Well Turkish President Erdogan is making that sales pitch to Iran today. Erdogan says that Turkey and Iran must unite in order to eliminate the post war influence that the U.S. will have on Syria. He may be right and Iran is listening.
The Turkish Army along with several Al-Qaeda factions are gathered in the northwestern Syria province of Idlib. Idlib is the last remaining Al-Qaeda rebel stronghold in Syria. Iran has supported the Assad regime so far. Iran has fought against all of these Al-Qaeda factions throughout the nine year long Syrian war. But now that the Turkish Army is gathered together with Al-Qaeda, Iran is refusing to fight against them in Idlib. If the Syrian Army hears that Iran is now backing Turkey then that would certainly be an evil report that would upset the balance of power in Syria. According to Jeremiah 49:23-27 after Hamah and Tell Rifaat hear evil reports then the residents of Damascus will flee and Damascus will be destroyed.

The Prophet Daniel says that the Antichrist will conquer many nations in North Africa. Daniel says that the Antichrist will conquer Egypt in particular. Daniel 11:40 says that the Antichrist will come against Egypt with many ships. Today Turkey is constructing its first large scale amphibious assault ship. This new landing vessel will hold 1,200 troops, 150 vehicles, eight helicopters, plus three unmanned aircraft. Turkey is located just 300 miles to the north of Egypt across the Mediterranean Sea. This new landing ship will be just what Turkey needs to attack Egypt.Almost every Bible prophecy teacher agrees that the “king of the south” in Daniel 11:40 represents Egypt. I am here to tell you that the “king of the north” represents Turkey! Turkish President Erdogan is the Antichrist! He has already promised to reinstate ousted Muslim Brotherhood President Morsi in Egypt. The Muslim Brotherhood was removed from power in Egypt. They are now waiting inside of Turkey to try to overthrow the Egyptian government again. Turkey is helping them. Now even political analysts are seeing that Turkey is very likely to attack Egypt soon.According to Daniel chapter 11 the Antichrist will conquer Egypt along with several other North African nations. Daniel 11:41 says that the Antichrist will then “enter also into the glorious land”; meaning that after the Antichrist conquers North Africa he will also invade Israel. Most Bible teachers think that the Antichrist will invade Jerusalem and Judea in the middle of the seven years long Tribulation period. That means that the Turkish conquest of Egypt will happen just before the halfway point of the Tribulation period. The Tribulation period is designed by God to chasten Israel for its unbelief and it is also meant for judging the nations with wars, natural disasters, famines, and disease. The Rapture of Church age believers is designed to rescue Christians from this terrible time of trouble. Turkish President Erdogan wants his new landing ship to be ready in four years. That means that the seven years long Tribulation period could begin in six months! If the Rapture happens before the Tribulation begins then the day of the Resurrection and Rapture must be very near.As you may know Turkish President Erdogan recently forced Turkish Prime Minister Davutoglu to resign. Davutoglu and Erdogan did not have big differences of opinion but Erdogan didn’t like the fact that Davutoglu had an opinion at all. Erdogan is quickly replacing Davutoglu with his long time ally and yes-man Binali Yildirim. Yildirim is a maritime engineer and has overseen many highway, railway, airport, and public infrastructure projects. As Turkey’s new Prime Minister Binali Yildirim will not offer any ideas of his own. Binali Yildirim will not oppose Erdogan at all. But Yildirim could be the right man to rapidly advance Turkey’s naval capabilities over the next few years.

Turkey President Erdogan is the Antichrist! He will conquer Syria and destroy Damascus. Then he will lead an invasion into northern Israel. Afterwards Turkey will conquer Egypt and even enter into Jerusalem. The Church is oblivious to the end time events that are happening right under their end time noses. It is High Time to Awake for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

Mystery Babylon alert!

After the recent row with the US, the first city that Iran threatened to bomb was Dubai. This is prophetically instructive. Years ago I wrote my commentary titled Dubai a case for Mystery Babylon.
Iran is ancient Persia. The Persians and Medes overthrew ancient Babylon. I think that the Bible tells us that Iran will also destroy Mystery Babylon. Iran or Persia is called Elam in the next verses. They describe the fall of Babylon and I think that they also describe the fall of Mystery Babylon. Arabia is much more appropriately described as the desert of the sea than is ancient Babylon. Ancient Babylon is nowhere near the sea.
Isaiah 21:1-2 The burden of the desert of the sea. As whirlwinds in the south pass through; so it cometh from the desert, from a terrible land. 2 A grievous vision is declared unto me; the treacherous dealer dealeth treacherously, and the spoiler spoileth. Go up, O Elam: besiege, O Media; all the sighing thereof have I made to cease.
Dubai fits the description of the end time city called Mystery Babylon although I think that Mecca fits the bill even better. Either way Mystery Babylon is an opulent Arabian city in the desert by the Sea.
Dubai is very close to Iran and would be easy to bomb. Dubai is also allied with Saudi Arabia and with the US. So if Iran threatens Dubai they incite American allies to put pressure on the US to stop bullying Iran.
I find it very instructive that the first city that Iran threatens is Dubai. If you understand Middle East geopolitics and geography then Dubai is the practical choice. The Bible says that much of Arabia will burn with rivers of fire during the Tribulation. So perhaps the destruction of Dubai will only be the prelude to the destruction of Mecca. Either way it is important for Christians to understand the broad concepts of Bible prophecy. They are practical and follow the patterns of ancient world history. We are living in the end time. If we are wise then we can see the edges of end time events appear; like the Iranian destruction of Mystery Babylon.
Mystery Babylon will be rejected and destroyed by the next world empire. Remember that the next world empire will be revived from the last world empire. The Turkish ruled Ottoman Empire was the last world empire. Turkish President Erdogan is busy rounding up the nations that once belonged to the Ottoman Empire. Iran is allied with Turkey today. Saudi Arabia is despised by Turkey and especially hated by Iran. Iran is engaged in a proxy war with Saudi Arabia in Yemen. Iran’s proxy forces have already launched Iranian missiles at Mecca.
The Ottoman Empire ruled eastern Europe, northern Africa, Saudi Arabia, and the Middle East all the way to Iran including Israel. It is apparent that the next world empire will be a renewed Islamic Caliphate. Mecca in Saudi Arabia is the spiritual seat of Islam so one would expect it to be part of an Islamic Empire.
The Bible describes Mystery Babylon as a harlot that rides a beast. In the Bible a harlot describes a false religious system and a beast typically describes a world empire. This harlot will coexist with the next world empire but will be despised and eventually destroyed by it.
Rev 17:3-5 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. 4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: 5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Mystery Babylon is a city. Mystery Babylon is the Mother of false religion during the end time. The same people who conquered ancient Babylon will destroy Mystery Babylon. Mecca seems like the obvious choice. Dubai is a close second.

Are US and Iran tensions in the Bible?

January 7, 2020: Iran retaliates for the U.S. airstrike that killed Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani. Iran fires ballistic missiles at Iraqi military bases housing U.S. troops. Both Iran and the US have threatened further retribution.
June 22, 2019: Over the past couple of weeks several oil tanker ships have been attacked in the straights of Hormuz near Iran. The US has blamed Iran for the attacks although the evidence is a bit unclear. Iran also shot down a US spy drone investigating the incidents. This week US President Trump called off an airstrike on Iran at the last moment.
My question is does the Bible predict a conflict between the US and Iran? Are these latest events fulfilling Bible prophecy? The answer is mostly no. First of all, the US is not clearly identified anywhere in the Bible. Secondly Iran is identified in the Bible as jointly attacking Israel along with Turkey (Eze 38:5). Iran is also identified as the destroyer of Saudi Arabia and Mecca (Mystery Babylon) (Dan 5:26-28). This happens just before Jesus Christ’s second coming at the end of the Tribulation period. So it’s clear that Iran will continue to exist and to cause trouble throughout the end times.
I don’t think that the squabbles between the US and Iran are specifically identified in the Bible, but they may be mentioned. Matthew 24:6-7 describes the events that happen during the first half of Jerusalem’s seven year long Tribulation period.
Mat 24:6-7 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
I think that the US and Iran tensions could be the beginning of the wars and rumors of wars mentioned in Matthew 24:6. We aren’t in the Tribulation period yet but I think that we are close enough to be able to peer into the events that are looming.
What Bible prophecy is happening now? The Turkish Army is ready to attack Hamah and Tell Rifaat in northern Syria (Jeremiah 49:23-27). Jeremiah says that after Turkey attacks Hamah and Tell Rifaat then Turkey will destroy Damascus. Afterwards Turkey will lead Iran and the forces that are now fighting in Syria into the Golan Heights of northern Israel. When the Turkish Army enters northern Israel then Jesus will return to stop them. The Resurrection and Rapture will happen at that time and the Tribulation will begin shortly thereafter. It is High Time to Awake!

The Libyan government is weak. Libyan leaders are living lavish lifestyles while the Muslim Brotherhood takes over their nation. Turkish President Erdogan has offered military support in exchange for Libya’s subjugation. This week the Libyan government has agreed to Erdogan’s terms.
Turkey has also teamed up with Libya to rewrite the rules of who owns oil drilling rights on the Mediterranean. Turkish President Erdogan has divided the Mediterranean between Turkey and Libya encroaching on Greek, Cyprus, and Egyptian waters. Turkish President Erdogan is taking over the Mediterranean Sea but also intends to take over the Mediterranean nations. Erdogan already has Libya in his grip but he also intends to reinstate Muslim Brotherhood leadership in Egypt. Daniel chapter 11 says that the Antichrist will invade Egypt from the land and the Sea. Every Bible teacher agrees that the King of the South refers to Egypt.
Dan 11:40 And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.
Dan 11:42 He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape. 43 But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.
Notice that Libya and Sudan will join Turkey to pilfer Egypt. Folks we are seeing these nations align today. Please be warned that this Turkish led invasion of Egypt is likely to happen during the first half of the Tribulation. Turkish President Erdogan intends to reestablish the Turkish ruled Ottoman Empire. This is the beast (or world empire) that will be healed during the end time (Revelation 13:3). This ought to alert Christians that Turkish President Erdogan is the Antichrist and that we don’t have much time before Christ’s return for the Rapture and the following Tribulation period.
Turkey has been teaming up with Libya for many years now. The Turkish led Free Syrian Army is from Libya. The Free Syrian Army is fighting alongside Turkey in Syria. This is where the Libyan soldiers that Turkey will lead into Israel will come from according to Ezekiel 38:5. After Turkey destroys Damascus they will lead the Libyan Free Syrian Army into northern Israel.

When you read the name Ethiopia in the Bible it always refers to today’s nation of Sudan. Turkey also has influence in Sudan. Turkey is rebuilding an Ottoman Empire era naval base in Suakin, Sudan. Remember that the Antichrist will attack Egypt by many ships. By the way, this week Turkey announced plans to also build a naval base in Libya. If you look on a map, Sudan and Libya neighbor Egypt on the Mediterranean Sea so these are the logical nations from which to launch a naval attack on Egypt. Annalists can’t believe that Erdogan could be successful in taking over the Mediterranean and rebuilding his Neo-Ottoman Empire. They say that Turkey doesn’t have a big enough Army but the Turkish Army is not alone. Turkey now has the allegiance of Libya, Sudan, Iran, Qatar, and other Islamic nations.
Turkey also has allies in the West. Former US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton ran guns and jihadis from Benghazi, Libya into Syria in order to topple Syrian President Assad and to make way for Muslim Brotherhood rule over Syria. Turkey and the Libyan Al-Qaeda soldiers are associated with the Muslim Brotherhood. The UN and some in the US and the West is supporting a Muslim Brotherhood takeover of Libya. Even US President Trump prefers to see Turkey topple Syrian President Assad rather than to see Russia and Iran gain influence in Syria.
Jeremiah 49:23 says that there will be sorrow on the sea just before the destruction of Damascus. In Bible prophecy the sea can refer to the Mediterranean Sea since it is the center of the old world and of every past world empire.
Jeremiah 49:23 Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.
Turkey, Libya, Sudan, Egypt, Greece, Cypress, Syria and let’s not forget Israel: All of these nations are on the Mediterranean Sea. Turkey is taking over the Mediterranean. Turkey is reestablishing the Turkish ruled Ottoman Empire. This is the beast whose head was wounded and then healed during the end time.
We are witnessing end time events. It is High Time to Awake.
