Mystery Babylon: Party till you Perish
Rembrandt, The Feast of Belshazzar: The Writing on the Wall c. 1635Mystery Babylon: Party till you Perish
Iran will destroy Mecca
Isaiah 21:4
By Craig C. White
It is my contention that “MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” in Revelation 17:5 is a prominent city in Arabia. The city called Mystery Babylon is described as a city in the desert by the sea (Isa 21:1) . It is also described as “the mother of harlots (Rev 17:5)“. In the Bible harlots typically represent false religions. The strongest argument for Mecca as being Mystery Babylon is that Mecca is the world seat of Islam. Mecca also has the largest building in the world and almost the tallest. Mecca itself isn’t a port city. Mecca is about 45 miles east of the Red Sea port city of Jedda. The name Mecca actually means Mother so maybe we should just stop looking elsewhere for the Mother of Harlots. Dubai is another city of interest because it is located on the Persian Gulf and has one of the worlds wealthiest seaports. Also Dubai has the worlds tallest building. You may read my treatise titled “Dubai: a Case for Mystery Babylon”.
This commentary looks at the very day and very way of the destruction of “that great city” described in Revelation 17:18. Just like ancient Babylon, the modern city called Mystery Babylon will be in the midst of a drunken party when its destruction comes suddenly!
You are probably familiar with the story of the fall of the ancient city of Babylon (Dan 5:1-6). The once powerful Babylonian empire was on the brink of failing. The king in Babylon was bunkered within the city gates with his princes. The princes were gathered to the city of Babylon because their regions were already overthrown by the Medes and the Persians. The city was the last stronghold of the Babylonian Empire. The Medes had besieged the city for months, and were about to break through its walls. Belshazzar, king in Babylon was yet prideful. He thought that nobody would conquer the walled city. In an effort to demonstrate his self-confident supremacy he decided to host a party. At that time the people of Israel (that is Judah) were captives in Babylon. Belshazzar further demonstrated his preeminence by drinking from the holy vessels taken from the Jerusalem temple. During the drunken party Belshazzar noticed a disembodied hand over by the punch bowl, writing a salutation on the wall.
MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN (Dan 5:25).
God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it. Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting. Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians (Dan 5:26-28).
That very night the Medes and Persians overran the city of Babylon and King Belshazzar was killed. That night the Mede and Persian Empire conquered the Babylonian Empire (Dan 5:30-31). In much the same way Mystery Babylon will fall in the future.
There is a principle in Bible prophecy; that some prophecies have two distinct applications. They apply to two separate events usually separated by time. This is the case with several prophecies regarding the demise of ancient Babylon. They also apply to MYSTERY BABYLON. Mystery Babylon is a city that exists during the Great Tribulation. We are going to look at a section of scripture in Isaiah that pertains to the fall of ancient Babylon, and then a section in Jeremiah. Let’s start by looking at Isaiah.
Isa 13:6-11 Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty. 7 Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man’s heart shall melt: 8 And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames. 9 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it. 10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine. 11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.
Remember that these verses pertain to the judgment of Babylon. The above verses describe “the day of the LORD” (Joel 2:31). “The day of the LORD” occurs during, and at the end of the Great Tribulation period in the future. So evidently this verse also applies to future events.
Isa 13:17 Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it.
As we saw earlier, the Medes did overthrow the city of ancient Babylon. It occurs to me that they might also overthrow Mystery Babylon in the future. The Medes are today’s Kurds!
Isa 21:1 The burden of the desert of the sea. As whirlwinds in the south pass through; so it cometh from the desert, from a terrible land.
The verse above applies much better to Mecca than it does to Babylon in Iraq. The original city of Babylon is nowhere near a sea. Mecca near the Red Sea in the Saudi desert. Also notice that the whirlwinds come from the desert in the south. That is true for Mecca. In Iraq the desert is on the west.
Isa 21:2 A grievous vision is declared unto me; the treacherous dealer dealeth treacherously, and the spoiler spoileth. Go up, O Elam: besiege, O Media; all the sighing thereof have I made to cease.
Elam is ancient Persia or modern Iran. Media refers to the Medes or roughly the area of Northern Iraq, and Eastern Turkey. Today the Kurds represent the ancient Medes. Just as they destroyed Babylon in the past, they may destroy Mystery Babylon in the future.
Modern Kurdish inhabited area. map credit http://www.cia.govThe Kurds live in northern Iraq, eastern Syria, and eastern Turkey. They have separate status from the rest of Iraq. The Kurds have their own government and military. The Kurds are the ancient Medes. Isaiah 21:2 above describes the past destruction of Babylon and also the future destruction of Mystery Babylon. I think that Mystery Babylon is most likely Mecca. The Kurds and the Iranians will destroy Mecca!
Isa 21:3 Therefore are my loins filled with pain: pangs have taken hold upon me, as the pangs of a woman that travaileth: I was bowed down at the hearing of it; I was dismayed at the seeing of it.
This describes Belshazzar’s reaction to the writing on the wall. This same language is used to describe the fear of the nations in “the day of the LORD” (1Th 5:3, Jer 49:22).
Isa 21:4 My heart panted, fearfulness affrighted me: the night of my pleasure hath he turned into fear unto me. 5 Prepare the table, watch in the watchtower, eat, drink: arise, ye princes, and anoint the shield.
Above describes the banqueting of the princes of Babylon. Their party was interrupted by an invasion. I suspect that like ancient Babylon, Mystery Babylon may be in the midst of a drunken party at the moment of their sudden demise.
Isa 21:9 And, behold, here cometh a chariot of men, with a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground.
This same language that describes the fall of Babylon here also describes the fall of “Mystery Babylon” in Revelation 14:8.
Rev 14:8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
Now let’s look at Jeremiah.
Jer 51:6 Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the LORD’S vengeance; he will render unto her a recompence.
People are warned to come out of ancient Babylon above. They are also warned to come out of Mystery Babylon during the Great Tribulation in Revelation below.
Rev 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
Jer 51:7 Babylon hath been a golden cup in the LORD’S hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad.
Belshazzar’s party guests drank from the holy vessels taken from the temple in Jerusalem. Likewise God has used Babylon and its philosophy of idolatry and world conquest to pollute the nations since. Any party that is pressing toward “the New World Order” or “One World Government” or “world dominance by religion” or “any world empire, or Caliphate” is drunk with Babylonian wine.
Jer 51:8-9 Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: howl for her; take balm for her pain, if so be she may be healed. 9 We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country: for her judgment reacheth unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies.
Babylon is best known for its high tower. It represented world unity without obligation to God. This is the kingdom that Satan longs for. Today, Mecca and Dubai stand for the same thing. They have built their towers to heaven. Their judgment will match.
Jer 51:13 O thou that dwellest upon many waters, abundant in treasures, thine end is come, and the measure of thy covetousness.
In Bible prophecy “many waters” often pertains to “many nations”. This can describe the nations of the world today that are imbibed with Babylonian ideals. It is also appropriate to describe Dubai’s situation as it is built on the Arabian Sea with many man-made islands. One could easily describe Mecca or Dubai as “abundant in treasures”.
Jer 51:53 Though Babylon should mount up to heaven, and though she should fortify the height of her strength, yet from me shall spoilers come unto her, saith the LORD.
As it was in Babylon it will be in Mystery Babylon. The Dubai Tower (Burj Khalifa) is the tallest in the world at 2,684 feet. The Abraj Al Bait Tower (or the Mecca Clock Tower) is a building complex in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It is the worlds second tallest building at 1,972 feet. It has the largest floor area of any structure in the world.
Jer 51:57 And I will make drunk her princes, and her wise men, her captains, and her rulers, and her mighty men: and they shall sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake, saith the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts.
The princes of Babylon got drunk out of Israel’s holy vessels. God will give them their desires. They will drink and never awake from their stupor. As it was in Babylon it will be in Mystery Babylon.

The Assyrian is the Antichrist!
The Assyrian is the Antichrist!
Halfway to Armageddon
Verse by verse through Isaiah 10
By Craig C. White
Assyria was a world empire. Its capital city was Nineveh, located in the same area as northern Iraq. The ruins of Nineveh can still be seen today across the Tigris River from the modern day city of Mosul.
In 734 BC Assyria conquered Syria and then turned southward into northern Israel. Assyria took captives from both Syria and Israel.
Assyria invaded Israel a second time in 701 BC. This time the Assyrian army made it all the way into southern Israel just outside the city limits of Jerusalem.
Two Assyrian kings led these invasions. The first invasion in 734 BC went into Syria and northern Israel and was led by the Assyrian King Tiglath-pileser. The second invasion in 701 BC went into southern Israel and was led by the Assyrian King Sennacherib. In bible prophecy these two kings are often referred to as “the Assyrian”. The Assyrian is also a term that applies to the Antichrist because he will do the same things that the original Assyrian kings did, not because he will necessarily be from Assyria (or northern Iraq).
God used the Assyrian to judge the disobedient nation of Israel. God will again call on a northern invader to judge Israel.
Isaiah chapter 10 predicts the wickedness of the ancient Israeli leadership, the overthrow of the nation of Israel by the Assyrian King Sennacherib and finally God’s restoration of Israel.
But there is a catch! Immediately after the Assyrian invades Israel in Isaiah chapter 10 we are introduced to the Messiah on earth! That is to say, Jesus Christ sets up his everlasting throne in Jerusalem. In other words this passage also predicts a future event. The Assyrian will once again invade Israel, and then Jesus Christ will come back to earth to defeat the Assyrian and to rule forever!
OK now listen up; the future invader of Israel called the Assyrian in Isaiah 10 is the same person that is commonly known as the Antichrist! The Antichrist will persecute Israel during the coming seven year Tribulation period just as the Assyrian persecuted Israel long ago.
But wait there is more! I think that Ezekiel chapter 38 and 39 tell us that the primary ruler of Turkey will lead an invasion into Israel in the end time just like Assyria did long ago. As a matter of fact, I think that Ezekiel predicts two separate invasions, both led by the primary ruler of Turkey. Also like the Assyrian invasions of old, the future invasions of Israel will happen in two similar but separate battles.
So the Assyrian is the Antichrist! Also the Assyrian is the primary leader of Turkey! Therefore the primary leader of Turkey is the Antichrist! Is this too much for you?
Today the prime minister of Turkey is Recep Tayyip Erdogan. He hates Israel! Today the Turkish army is on the Syrian border. If Prime Minister Erdogan leads turkey into Syria and then turns south into Israel then this scenario has begun!
God called the future invader of Israel the Assyrian because he will persecute Israel in much the same way as the Assyrian kings did in 734 BC and again in 701 BC. Remember that there were two separate Assyrian kings that led two separate invasions into Israel. There may very well also be two separate Turkish leaders who will lead two separate invasions into Israel in the future! The Turkish leader who leads the second invasion is the Antichrist!
What I am saying is that Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan may in fact be the Antichrist or there may be another Turkish prime minister following him that will certainly be the Antichrist!
The ancient Assyrian invasions may give us a clue to future events. There may be two end time Assyrians or there may only be one. We will know as events unfold. Here is one reason why I think that there may be two different primary rulers of Turkey.
Like I said before Ezekiel 38 predicts one future battle and Ezekiel 39 predicts another similar battle. I think that the battle described in Ezekiel 38 will be led by the prime minister of Turkey and may begin shortly. In this case Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan would fulfill the role of the Assyrian. In Ezekiel 38 he is also known as Magog. The battle that is described in Ezekiel 39 will also be led by the prime minister of Turkey and is the same as the battle of Armageddon (Rev 16:12 – 21 and Rev 19:17-18). The battle of Armageddon happens at the end of the seven year Tribulation period. Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan may again fulfill the role of the Assyrian during the battle of Armageddon or there may be another prime minister of Turkey in his place.
In Ezekiel 38 God asks “Are you the person that I have predicted would attack Israel?” So God is asking us the question.
Ezekiel 38:17 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them?
In Ezekiel 39 God tells us that “Yes this is the attack that I predicted!” So God affirms that this is the battle of the end time. Remember that Ezekiel chapter 39 describes another similar but latter battle than does Ezekiel chapter 38.
Ezekiel 39:8 Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord GOD; this is the day whereof I have spoken.
Now just so that we all have a better understanding of who the Assyrian is in bible prophecy let’s look at Isaiah chapter 10. Remember that these verses apply to an ancient Assyrian invasion into Israel as well as another still future invasion. It is important to note that these verses apply to the Assyrian invasion of 701 BC led by the Assyrian king named Sennacherib. These verses also apply to the battle of Armageddon which happens at the end of the seven year Tribulation period. Both of these battles are the second battle of their day that is led by the Assyrian.
Isaiah 10:1 Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed;2To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless!
The verses above describe the Israeli leadership of the day. In the future a wicked Israeli leader will come to power. He is called “The Idol Shepherd” in Zechariah 11:16-17. I know that most people think that the Idol shepherd is the same as the Antichrist but he isn’t. The Idol shepherd will be an Israeli leader who will not take care of his people. Read my commentary titled “Woe to the Idol Shepherd” in my eBook “Israel’s Beacon of Hope”.
Isaiah 10:3 And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?
The wicked leadership of Israel will be overrun by the armies of its enemies. They have despised God’s authority and will have nowhere to turn during the time of their terrible distress. Just a note: there will be several secondary idol shepherds ruling in Israel during the Tribulation (Eze 34:2-8). Please read my commentary titled “Who is a Shepherd” in my eBook “Israel’s Beacon of Hope”.
Isaiah 10:4 Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. 5O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation.
Israel’s rulers will be killed in the invasion. Notice that prisoners will also be taken. Israel will hope that the invasion will fall short but the armies of Israel’s enemies will persist. God will again use the Assyrian as a tool to judge the nation of Israel.
Isaiah 10:6I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
The hypocritical nation described in the passage above is Israel. At that time Israel will be again practicing temple sacrifice but their hearts will be far from God. Their leaders will oppress the poor.
Isaiah 10:7 Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy and cut off nations not a few. 8 For he saith, Are not my princes altogether kings? 9 Is not Calno as Carchemish? is not Hamath as Arpad? is not Samaria as Damascus? 10 As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols, and whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria; 11 Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?
Assyrian King Sennacherib is speaking here. So is the future invader of Israel. He is recalling previous victories over Syria and northern Israel. The city of Calno is near Aleppo, Syria’s largest city. Carchemish is on the northeastern Syrian border. Hamath is between Aleppo and Damascus. Arpad is just north of Aleppo. As you know Damascus is the capital city of Syria and is located near Syria’s southern border near Israel. Samaria is in the northern half of Israel. All of these cities still exist today. All of these cities were conquered by the Assyrian King Tiglath-pileser in 734 BC. All of these cities will be conquered by the Assyrian that is still to come. So if Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan leads an invasion into Syria, destroys Damascus, and then invades Israel we are half way to Armageddon. Perhaps then you can get your pastor to read this commentary!
Please notice in verse 11 that this invader has yet to conquer Jerusalem. But he is boasting that he is about to overthrow Jerusalem.
Isaiah 10:12 Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks.
God will complete his judgment of Israel. God allowed Assyrian King Sennacherib to get just outside of Jerusalem but didn’t allow Sennacherib to destroy the city (Isa 37:36). In the future, the same scenario will take place. Just as it looks like all is lost for the last remaining Jews in Jerusalem Jesus Christ himself will return with great vengeance on Israel’s enemies! In the end God will punish the invader of Israel. Please read my eBook “Israel’s Beacon of Hope”.
Isaiah 10:13 For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man: 14 And my hand hath found as a nest the riches of the people: and as one gathereth eggs that are left, have I gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved the wing, or opened the mouth, or peeped.
The Assyrian will say that he has conquered Israel by his own hand. God will remind him that he was successful only as an instrument in God’s hand.
Isaiah 10:15 Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? or shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? as if the rod should shake itself against them that lift it up, or as if the staff should lift up itself, as if it were no wood.
Shall a man say that he is greater than God? God uses men to do as he wishes.
Isaiah 10:16 Therefore shall the Lord, the Lord of hosts, send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory he shall kindle a burning like the burning of a fire. 17 And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame: and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day; 18 And shall consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body: and they shall be as when a standardbearer fainteth. 19 And the rest of the trees of his forest shall be few, that a child may write them.
In the verses above, Jesus Christ will destroy the kingdom of the Assyrian (aka the Antichrist) at his second coming. The fire of Israel is Jesus Christ’s everlasting rule on earth. Christ’s earthly kingdom centered in Jerusalem will consume the final gentile world empire like a fire. Earthly kingdoms will now all come under the authority of God.
Isaiah 10:20 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.
At last the Jews will be free from world oppression and persecution and will finally be faithful to their God!
Isaiah 10:21 The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God. 22 For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness.
The Jews will return to Israel. During the Tribulation period many Jews will take refuge in Jordan and many others will also be taken captive into different countries. After Jesus destroys the Assyrian at his coming the surviving Jews will return to Israel along with all faithful Old Testament Jews (including Isaiah) who will be resurrected from the dead at that time (Dan 12:13)! Please read “Aliyah Israel Arise Return” in my eBook “Israel’s Beacon of Hope”.
God has determined to apply a certain amount of judgment upon Israel (Dan 9:24). It will one day be completed and then replaced with righteousness and justice. God’s predetermined judgment is called the consumption here in Isaiah.
The Tribulation period is not only designated for Israel’s judgment. But there is a terrible time of God’s judgment coming upon the entire world as well!
Isa 28:22 Now therefore be ye not mockers, lest your bands be made strong: for I have heard from the Lord GOD of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the whole earth.
Isaiah 10:23 For the Lord GOD of hosts shall make a consumption, even determined, in the midst of all the land. 24 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt. 25 For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, and mine anger in their destruction.
God will allow Israel’s time of trouble to last only for a short time.
Isaiah 10:26 And the LORD of hosts shall stir up a scourge for him according to the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb: and as his rod was upon the sea, so shall he lift it up after the manner of Egypt. 27 And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.
Just as God delivered the Jews from the Egyptians during the Exodus, God will deliver Israel from the Assyrian.
Isaiah 10:28 He is come to Aiath, he is passed to Migron; at Michmash he hath laid up his carriages: 29 They are gone over the passage: they have taken up their lodging at Geba; Ramah is afraid; Gibeah of Saul is fled. 30 Lift up thy voice, O daughter of Gallim: cause it to be heard unto Laish, O poor Anathoth. 31 Madmenah is removed; the inhabitants of Gebim gather themselves to flee.
The passage above maps out the route that the Assyrian will take on his way to attack Jerusalem. All of these towns are north of Jerusalem. The Assyrian is approaching Jerusalem from the north. He is moving closer and closer town by town. Assyrian King Sennacherib took this route on his way to destroy Jerusalem in 701 BC. In the future invasion of Israel the Antichrist may very well take this same route.
Isaiah 10:32 As yet shall he remain at Nob that day: he shall shake his hand against the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.
Nob is north of the Mount of Olives just outside the city limits of Jerusalem. Assyrian King Sennacherib camped out there with his armies the night before he was to attack Jerusalem. Overnight, God wiped out his army while they slept (Isaiah 37:36). I suspect that a very similar scenario will occur when Jesus returns to defend Israel.
Psa 30:5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
Isaiah 10:33 Behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, shall lop the bough with terror: and the high ones of stature shall be hewn down, and the haughty shall be humbled. 34 And he shall cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one.
In bible prophecy a tree with over spreading boughs is often used to describe a large kingdom or empire. Lebanon was known for its large cedar trees. So the actual country of Lebanon isn’t pictured here, but instead the final gentile world empire that will exist during the time of the Tribulation period. Jesus will return and cut down the final gentile world empire!
That is the end of Isaiah chapter 10 but please notice the first verse of Isaiah chapter 11 below.
Isaiah 11:1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
A rod is the scepter of a ruling king. Jesse was King David’s father. A branch is a descendant. So a descendant of King David will rule on earth. Isaiah is proclaiming that after the time of Israel’s trouble Jesus Christ will come to earth to rule forever.
So the Assyrian is the Antichrist. The ruler of Turkey will invade Syria and then Israel just like the Assyrian of old did. Therefore an end time ruler of Turkey is the Antichrist!
The Turkish army is amassed along the Syrian border today. If Turkey attacks Syria it may then turn south to invade Israel. If these things happen then we are all half way to Armageddon.
It is High Time to Awake!

The days of Noah. The days of Lot.
The days of Noah. The days of Lot.
What is this referring to?
By Craig C. White
A lot of Christians point to this verse and conclude that nobody can know the day that Jesus Christ returns for his Church at the Rapture.
Mat 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
But which “day” is Jesus referring to? Jesus is not referring to the day of the Rapture. Jesus is not referring to his second coming. Jesus is telling the Jews living around Jerusalem to watch for the Antichrist approaching. The Antichrist along with his armies will enter Jerusalem and capture or kill the Jews living there. This day begins Jerusalem’s great tribulation.
Jesus warned of great danger in Jerusalem and Judea at a time when its citizens were living their daily lives as usual. He said that it would be like the days of Noah just before the flood. He said that life would be going on normally just like in Sodom before God rained fire upon the city. The following verses do not pertain to Church age believers. They are not describing an abundance of sin on earth. They are not describing the days before the Rapture. They do not refer to Jesus Christ’s second coming. They apply to the region around Jerusalem. It will be life as usual just before the Antichrist invades Jerusalem and Judea during the middle of the seven year tribulation period. This begins Jerusalem’s great tribulation (Mat 24:21).
Luke 17:26-29 And as it was in the days of Noe (Noah), so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. 27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; 29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
Mat 24:37-39 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
In the verse above, the “Son of man” isn’t referring to Jesus Christ. The Son of man is the Antichrist! One minute things will be happening as usual. Then suddenly Israel’s enemies will attack!
The days of Noah in these verses do not describe the spiritual rebellion that did exist before the flood. It does not describe the existence of giants in the land. The days of Noah describes normal day to day living before sudden destruction comes.
Luke 21:24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

Six prophetic events that will happen before the great tribulation
Six prophetic events that will happen before the great tribulation
By Craig C. White
- 1) The Idol Shepherd (Zechariah 11:16-17) – God will raise up a rotten ruler in Israel.
- 2) Dismantle Israeli Military (Zechariah) – As a stipulation to creating the Palestinian State inside of Israel the Israeli Military will be dissolved. A hired security force keeps the peace inside of Israel (at least until things get tough).
- 3) A Palestinian State will be created inside of Israel
- 4) ISIS in Mosul will be destroyed by Iraq, Iran, and the Kurds and flooded with water – Modern day Mosul is ancient Nineveh. Mosul will be attacked and flooded just like the ancient city of Nineveh was flooded and then plundered by the Babylonians, Persians, and Medes (Nahum). I think that this event is the sign to Israel that their time of trouble is at hand. It is their last chance to repent and to believe in their God before they are doomed to suffer through the time of Jacob’s trouble (aka the seven year Tribulation period).
- 5) Turkey will invade Syria and destroy Damascus (Jerimiah 49), then Turkey will lead the forces that are now fighting in Syria into northern Israel (Ezekiel 38)
- 6) A Seven year treaty concerning a new Jewish temple in Jerusalem will be made with Erdogan of Turkey – This marks the beginning of Tribulation.
These events will happen before Israel’s great tribulation. The great tribulation will begin during the middle of the seven year tribulation period. These events won’t necessarily happen before the Resurrection and Rapture of Christians.

The deadly head wound of the Ottoman Empire has been healed!
The deadly head wound of the Ottoman Empire has been healed!
The diadem of Selim I
By Craig C. White
Guess what? Immediately after Turkish President Erdogan won sweeping power over Turkey in a national referendum he unveiled the diadem (or crown) of Selim I, the past Sultan of the Turkish Ottoman Empire. The diadem of Selim I is a turban made of fine silk and has been kept hidden from public view. Unveiling the crown now signifies the rebirth of the Turkish ruled Ottoman Empire with Erdogan as Sultan. Whoever holds the crown also holds the scepter.
Revelation chapter 13 describes a seven headed beast that represents the seven past world empires. The last world empire (Ottoman Turk) has been wounded yet it is revived during the last days. Well my friends, the deadly head wound of the Ottoman Empire has just been healed! Yet more proof that Turkish President Erdogan is the Antichrist. This is no surprise to me as I have been telling people this from the scripture for the past seven years. This is also more proof that you should listen to what I am saying!
Revelation 13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
Revelation 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
As if that weren’t enough, Revelation chapter 13 identifies another beast. In this case the beast seems to describe a world religious government with two branches that goes along with the next world empire. Most Bible teachers recognize that this is where the False Prophet will come from. Exiled Turkish Muslim Cleric Fethullah Gulen had attempted to steal the diadem of Selim I in order to return to Turkey and claim himself as the next Sultan of the Ottoman Empire. I have been saying this for years; Fethullah Gulen is the False Prophet.
Revelation 13:11-12 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. 12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
Looking back to Revelation 13:1 the last world empire will have ten kings (or horns). So the final configuration of the next world empire has not arrived yet but it is getting close. I think that Daniel chapter 7 describes the European Union as it joins the new Russian Union and a coming Turkish led Islamic Union to form the next world empire. It could be that the ten kings will be set over this combined Union although Turkish President Erdogan is already talking about dividing Turkey into several states. Perhaps he is attempting to fulfill Bible prophecy inside of Turkey. Erdogan has also announced his intentions to create an Islamic Union.

Erdogan Promises
Erdogan Promises
After the June 24th election you should expect end time Bible prophecy to enter warp speed
By Craig C. White
In April 2018 Turkish President Erdogan called for a snap election giving the opposition party only two months to choose a candidate and to run their campaign. One year ago the Turkish people voted to change the Turkish constitution from a parliamentary system to one controlled by the president. After the June 24th election the president of Turkey will have enormous power.
Once re-elected Erdogan promises to continue his conquest of Syria. The Prophet Jeremiah (Jer 49:23-27) describes Turkey as they attack Hamah and Tell Rifaat in northwestern Syria and then destroy Damascus. The Turkish Army is amassed near Hamah and Tell Rifaat now. As a Christian you should be aware of these developments. After the June 24th election you should expect end time Bible prophecy to enter warp speed. You should expect Turkey to aggressively attack northwestern Syria and then to destroy Damascus. You should know that after Turkey destroys Damascus they will then lead the nations that are now fighting in Syria into northern Israel (Eze 38). You should especially be aware that your Savior Jesus Christ will return to repel these Turkish led forces and to take you away before a terrible time of trouble begins on earth.
Read this summary of Erdogan’s campaign speech. Turkish President Erdogan is leading the Turkish people into a dictatorship while calling it democracy. He is claiming religious freedom while killing Kurds and sorely oppressing Christians. There are almost no Christians at all left in Turkey. Erdogan is touting a stronger parliament while stacking it’s members and reducing their power. Erdogan has led the Turkish lira to an all time low but promises that Turkey will become one of the wealthiest nations in the world after he is elected. Turkish President Erdogan promises to use technology to fight terrorist propaganda. He has already blocked YouTube, Wikipedia, Twitter and other social media outlets in Turkey because they shared differing opinions than his own. Erdogan has dissenters in Turkey but most of the Turkish people are caught up in a swell of national pride. This is the story of the rise of a dangerous dictator. We are seeing the rise of the Antichrist. The Antichrist will first conquer Syria and then gain power over the nations of the old world. He will also terribly oppress Israel for three and one half years. The Bible tells us that the Antichrist will succeed until Jesus Christ returns at the end of the Tribulation.
Turkish President Erdogan has promised to remove Syrian President Assad from power in Damascus. He has promised to reinstate ousted Muslim Brotherhood member Mohamed Morsi as president in Egypt. Erdogan has promised to reestablish the Turkish ruled Ottoman Empire (or new Islamic Caliphate). These are things that the Bible tells us that the Antichrist will do. Turkish President Erdogan has promised to conquer Jerusalem for Islam. He has promised to take back the Golan Heights in northern Israel. Erdogan has proposed that Israel should give up their nuclear arms and that an international peace keeping force be placed inside of Israel. Before you dismiss this notion remember that the Prophet Zechariah tells us that God will raise up a rotten leader (or idol shepherd) in Israel that will give away his nation’s sovereignty in exchange for personal gain. We are living in the last days of the Church age. A terrible time of trouble is coming upon the world. Soon we will only be able to look back and wonder how we could have missed so much.
Turkish President Erdogan is the Antichrist. As a Christian, you should recognize that and you should know that your time on earth is almost over.

Smarter than your pastor in just one day!
Smarter than your pastor in just one day!
By Craig C. White
Guess what. Turkey is about to attack Damascus and then invade Israel. Turkish President Erdogan is the chief prince of Turkey (Ezekiel 38:1-3) and he is also the Antichrist. Soon he will create an Islamic Union that is represented by a leopard in Daniel chapter 7. This Islamic Union will become part of the next World Empire. Jesus will destroy the Antichrist along with his empire at his second coming. Christians have very little time to wait before the resurrection and Rapture of Church age believers.
When it comes to Bible prophecy you can be smarter than your pastor in just one day! No kidding; and it’s easy too! There is a battle brewing in Syria that will soon spill over into Israel. Turkey will invade Syria, decimate its capital city of Damascus, and then lead the troops that are fighting in Syria into northern Israel. It is all explained in the Bible! Every Christian should be alert to this possibility!
Read my book Turkey invades Israel – Halfway to Armageddon and become smarter than your pastor. I am certain that he will be so impressed that he will let you park in his space next Sunday!

The Name of Jesus!
The Name of Jesus!

yeh-ho-shoo’-ah ha maw-shee’-akh
By Craig C. White
The name of Jesus is a special name. It means “God Saves”. God saves people from the penalty of sin. The penalty of sin is death, plus the everlasting torment of hell. Jesus has power to save. He is the only person who has the power to save us from our sins.
Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
The English name Jesus is derived from the Greek name Iēsous (ee-ay-sooce’). The Greek name Iēsous comes from the Hebrew name yehôshûa‛ (yeh-ho-shoo’-ah), or in English: Joshua. The name Joshua consists of two parts. The first part is the Hebrew word yehôvâh (yeh-ho-vaw’), or in English: Jehovah. Jehovah means the self–Existent or eternal. Jehovah is the Hebrew name of God. The second part of the name Joshua is the Hebrew word yâsha‛ (yaw-shah’). Yasha literally means to be open, wide or free. In the old testament Yasha is used 205 times, it is translated in English as save, rescue, deliver, defend, avenge, preserve, help, savior, victory, safe, and salvation.
So the name Jesus means “God saves”.
The apostle Peter said that Jesus was the Christ.
Mat 16:15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
Christ is English for the Greek word Christos (khris-tos’). Christos means anointed. The Hebrew word for anointed is mâshı̂yach (maw-shee’-akh). In the bible, kings and priests were anointed with oil to show that they were set apart to a special position (1Ch 11:3). Jesus was anointed by God with the Holy Spirit to show that he was set apart to save the nation of Israel; and to save people from their sins (Mat 3:16-17).
When you say the Hebrew word mâshı̂yach into English you get the word Messiah. In Hebrew one could say “Yehoshua ha Mashiakh” (yeh-ho-shoo’-ah ha maw-shee’-akh). In English you say “Jesus the Messiah”; or “God saves”, plus his title “the anointed”.
Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
What are you waiting for?! Call on the name of Jesus and be saved!

Watch watch watch Jesus is coming!
Watch watch watch
Jesus is coming!
By Craig C. White
Whether you think that Russia is identified as Gog and Magog in Ezekiel chapter 38 or perhaps you have rightly identified Turkey as being Gog and Magog; every nation that is listed in Ezekiel chapter 38 is fighting in Syria today. So all of us ought to be on our toes as we watch events unfold in Syria. On that we can agree. We are all in this together!
Ezekiel chapter 38 describes Turkey as they lead Iran, Libya, and Sudan into Israel. All of these nations are fighting in Syria today. Jeremiah 49:23-27 describes an attack on the cities of Hamah and Tell Rifaat in northwestern Syria and then the destruction of Damascus. The Turkish Army is fighting its way towards Tell Rifaat now. So it is evident that Turkey will destroy Damascus. Damascus is only thirty miles from the Golan Heights of Israel. So after Turkey destroys Damascus then they will most likely lead the forces that are now fighting in Syria into the Golan Heights.
We are now watching the Turkish Army fighting near Hamah and Tell Rifaat as Jeremiah 49:23 says. We can watch as they near Damascus. From there we can observe if they turn south towards Israel. If they get that far then we know that Ezekiel chapter 38 tells us that God will fight against them with fire and brimstone, earthquakes, and torrential rain. Nahum 1:3-8 describes a similar scenario. Nahum makes it more clear that this is the Lord coming in a whirlwind to the Golan Heights. Nahum also says that the Lord knows and protects those people who trust in him. It is a distinct possibility that Jesus will return to take away his Church when the Turkish led forces enter the Golan Heights of northern Israel. So watch!

Woe to the Idol Shepherd

Woe to the Idol Shepherd
Rotten, good for nothing, worthless shepherd
Zechariah 11:16-17
By Craig C. White
What is an Idol Shepherd? Well a shepherd is someone who tends to a flock. A shepherd can also tend people. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has proven that he is a faithful and strong shepherd. Thank God for him. He is diligent to serve his land and people. He is conscientious to beware of Israel’s enemies. He is attentive to the safety and welfare of the Israeli people. Today Israel is blessed with an upright shepherd.
An Idol Shepherd is a leader who does not care for his people. One day God will raise up a wicked leader in Israel who will hand over his people for profit. Don’t think that I am talking about the Antichrist. I am not. I am talking about a Jewish Israeli leader who will be in office during the great tribulation.
Zec 11:16 For, lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, which shall not visit those that be cut off, neither shall seek the young one, nor heal that that is broken, nor feed that that standeth still: but he shall eat the flesh of the fat, and tear their claws in pieces.
God himself will raise this shepherd to serve his purpose of judging Israel during the final seven years of indignation spoken of by the prophet Daniel (Dan 9:24). The wicked shepherd will not care for the children who wander the streets having lost their parents. He will not help those whose lives have been broken. The phrase nor feed that that standeth still means he will not support those who are standing for what is right. The shepherd will not do what is right. He will do the opposite. He will greedily consume the wealth of Israel for himself. He will tear apart all those who reach out for help.
Zec 11:17 Woe to the idol shepherd that leaveth the flock! the sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye: his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened.
God decrees misfortune upon the Idol Shepherd. The word leaveth means to forsake. The Idol Shepherd forsakes the administration of the health, safety, security and welfare of the Israeli people. God calls him the idol shepherd. Today we would literally say “rotten, good for nothing, worthless shepherd”. In the phrase the sword shall be upon his arm the word sword refers to a drought, also a cutting instrument. The word arm refers to the arm (as stretched out), it signifies force, mighty power, and strength. This verse is declaring God’s judgment upon the unfaithful leader of Israel. This could be applied to his personal judgment or possibly judgment to Israel under his tending. This could mean that the Israeli military will be cut. The idol shepherd will be powerless against Israel’s enemies. The sword will also be upon his right eye. The word right refers to your strong side. The word eye refers to sight. This may mean that his vision to do right will be darkened. Because of the context I think this may mean that a strong leader (the shepherd’s right hand man) will be cut off. Let me suggest that a wicked Israeli president may get rid of his Prime Minister who sees the needs of the people. Of course there may be a different meaning.
Zechariah further describes the condition of the arm and the eye. The phrase his arm shall be clean dried up again probably means that the Israeli military will be ashamed, confused, confounded, dried up, and withered away to nothing. The phrase his right eye shall be utterly darkened may mean that the shepherd is completely blind to what is right, or that the shepherd’s decent right hand man is completely restrained.
The idol shepherd is spoken of throughout Zechariah chapters 10 & 11, and recapped in Zechariah 13:7.
Zec 11:5 Whose possessors slay them, and hold themselves not guilty: and they that sell them say, Blessed be the LORD; for I am rich: and their own shepherds pity them not.
During “the Great Tribulation” the Israeli people will be bought and sold as slaves.
Amos 8:6 That we may buy the poor for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes; yea, and sell the refuse of the wheat?
Joel 3:3 And they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for an harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink.
Joel 3:6 The children also of Judah and the children of Jerusalem have ye sold unto the Grecians, that ye might remove them far from their border.
Those who own them will kill them. The slave merchants will say, “Blessed be the Hebrew God because I have become rich selling the Israeli people; and their own leaders don’t care about them”.
Zec 13:7 Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.
Many prophetic bible verses signify two distinct events, usually separated by time. This is one of them. Here the phrase My fellow tells us that the idol shepherd is a Hebrew. God smites the idol shepherd and the Israeli people are dispersed out of their land.
In another meaning, this verse also tells us that the shepherd is God’s companion. That is “another of the same kind”. In this application my shepherd and my fellow refer to Jesus Christ. The word man here means valiant man. Zechariah is prophesying the death of Christ and the scattering of his disciples.
We all wonder how the world is going to impose their “peace plan” on Israel. It seems that Israel will not relent to their un-survivable terms. Well, there is an Israeli leader coming who will not look out for the welfare of his land or his people.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli President Shimon Peres are faithful shepherds. Both men hold the deepest love for their country. There is a growing global movement to replace the Israeli leaders. This coo extends inside the Israeli government. The opposition wants to install a vain leader who will bow to world dictate, especially concerning creating a Palestinian State inside of Israel. Opposition Leader Ms. Tzipi Livni has rudely blasphemed Netanyahu. She is leading protests against his leadership and is calling for his replacement. The world is greedily clamoring for Israel’s rotten shepherd. All signs point to a soon coming of Jesus Christ to gather his church.
The idol shepherd is a Jewish Israeli leader.
