Don’t Run!

There will be a very special group of people on earth during Jerusalem’s Great Tribulation. They are the last Jews in Jerusalem. Their numbers are few. They may reach into the hundreds perhaps a few thousand. They will suffer. They will survive! They will be at the center of God’s attention. They will be at the center of the world’s frustration. They will be the last hope to every Jewish heart that God may yet restore Israel back to his chosen people. When Christ returns they will be a sign to every Jew in every place that salvation is wrought in Israel!
These people are probably living today. Perhaps one of them is reading this. If so then there is one thing that I want to tell you, “DON’T RUN!” Anyone who tries to flee Jerusalem will be captured. Wait for your redeemer in Jerusalem!!!
Isa 30:15 For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved
There is a terrible time of judgment and suffering coming upon the land of Israel; more terrible than the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans in 70 A.D., more terrible than the holocaust. The Tribulation begins in the whole land of Israel, it becomes Great Tribulation in the city of Jerusalem, and then culminates on Mount Zion. Two thirds of the people in all the land of Israel will die (Zec 13:8). Then half of the people in Jerusalem will be taken captive (Zec 14:2). Anyone who tries to flee Jerusalem will be captured (Isa 30:16). Then the residue of the city will huddle together on mount Zion (which is the hill south of the temple mount called the hill of Ophel or the “City of David”) in Jerusalem and wait for their redeemer.
This is the story of the last Jews in Jerusalem. During the tribulation a small band of Jews will be hold-up on Mount Zion. The armies of their enemies will flood into the city. As they pray for deliverance they will look up and behold their God!

Isaiah 65:20

I shared this passage about life after the Tribulation period with a class of about 40 well-read Bible students. Nobody had heard of it. Naturally they thought I was nuts. Don’t worry, I am used to it.
In life after the 7 year Tribulation period Jesus Christ will rule on earth in Jerusalem. Individuals will have one hundred years to trust in Jesus for remission of sin. If they don’t submit to God by age one hundred they are doomed to perdition (hell).
Isaiah 65:20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.
This passage is contrasting the difference in day to day life between Tribulation period, and post Tribulation Israel. OK folks, here is something that is quite different. Literally; There shall no longer be accomplished there at that time a baby of a few days old (or a baby will not die as an infant), nor an old man who has not fulfilled his own days (an old man will not die before his entire natural life span is complete). During the Tribulation period many babies and old men will be killed in Israel. It will be different in the days following the Tribulation. Literally; the young (pre-adolescent) child shall die when he is one hundred years old. Wow, this seems to be saying that it will take over one hundred years for a child to reach adolescence. Perhaps this was the way of life after Eden? If we take a more figurative view (although I don’t see any reason to do so) perhaps this passage is saying that a one hundred year life span will be considered very short. Let me state the obvious. Children will be born during Christ’s reign on earth. Literally; but the person who misses the mark when they reach one hundred years of age shall be brought into contempt. If a person doesn’t honor God by the time they reach one hundred years old they will be judged by being sent to the lake of fire.
I think that Isaiah is describing the youthful eternal life that believers in Jesus Christ will enjoy after his second coming. Isaiah also describes the terrible fate of those who rebel against God over their long lifetime. Isaiah 65:20 specifically describes the populous in Jerusalem.
By the way, I am still waiting and praying for some dear people that I know who are approaching the age of one hundred to turn to God.

At long last a legitimate prophecy about Russia!
Russian military buildup along Ukraine

Reports are just now surfacing about significant Russian military presence in several locations along Ukraine’s border. Daniel 7:5 predicts that Russia will conquer several nations along its western border in order to form an end time Russian Union. This new Russian Union will eventually join forces with the European Union and a new Middle Eastern Union to form the next world empire. Russia has already formed a new Russian economic Union along with Kazakhstan and Belarus. Ukraine was initially supposed to join as well but backed out at the last minute. Now Russia is prepared to take Ukraine by force.
When you say “Bible prophecy” many people immediately think about Russia. That is a BIG mistake. The “chief prince” in Ezekiel chapter 38 and 39 is a Turkish ruler. Russia will not lead the Middle Eastern nations into Israel. Russia is nowhere to be found in Ezekiel. As a matter of fact Russia is just barely represented in Bible prophecy at all. Here is one instance of Russian activity that the Bible actually does predict. In Daniel 7:5 the Russian bear conquers several nations along it’s western border.
Dan 7:5 And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh.
I think that the three ribs in the bear’s mouth are possibly three nations that are under Russia’s control or perhaps more literally; three nations that are situated along its border. At some point they tell Russia to conquer many more nations along one of its borders. Russia is now prepared to conquer Ukraine but the Bible tells us that the Russian bear will certainly gather several more nations into its lair.
By the way; the only other reference to Russia that I see in the Bible is in Revelation 13:2
Revelation 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
In Revelation 13:2 we are told that the next world empire will have feet like a bear. Back in Daniel chapter 7 we are told that the next world empire will be like a beast that “stamped the residue with his feet”.
Dan 7:19 Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet;
The word “residue” is used in the Bible to describe the few remaining Jews that are left inside of the land of Israel after God judges them. Sometimes the word “remnant” is also used. In the past God has typically allowed a world empire to invade and to conquer the nation of Israel. Israel was conquered by every past world empire. But the Assyrian Empire and the Babylonian Empire both entered Israel and carried away captives until there were only a few Jews left living inside of the land of Israel.
In the future the next world empire will also enter the land of Israel and carry away captives. It could be that the feet in Daniel 7:19 represent the Russian Army as it polices the entire land of Israel on behalf of the next world empire. The Russian Army will quash the few remaining Jews left living in the land.

We will sing a new song
The Church will be raptured before the Tribulation begins.

The elders of the Church are in heaven before the scroll of God’s judgment is opened. That means that the rest of the Church is with them!
Revelation 5:8-9 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. 9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
People from every tongue and nation are in heaven before Jesus opens the seals of the scroll that begins the Tribulation (Rev 5:9). That means that the Church is resurrected and raptured before the Tribulation begins!

U.S. Embassy to be moved to Jerusalem in May!
Will the U.S. Embassy become a place of refuge?

A temporary U.S. Embassy will be built in the Arnona neighborhood of South Jerusalem. The Trump administration plans to open the new embassy coinciding with Israel’s seventy year anniversary of independence on May 14th, 2018. A permanent location is still being sought.
U.S. President Donald Trump intends to move the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. This would declare Jerusalem as the rightful capital of Israel. President Trump said that It will take three or four years to build the permanent embassy. Nobody yet knows exactly where the permanent U.S. Embassy will be built but I am certain that the government of Israel will do everything that they can to accommodate the building of the new embassy.
I wonder if the U.S. Embassy will become a place of refuge for the last Jews in Jerusalem?
I know that the Jews living in Judea are instructed to flee into the Judean wilderness when the Antichrist attacks Jerusalem BUT the Jews that are caught inside of Jerusalem are told to wait on Mount Zion for their Messiah to return.
When the Antichrist attacks Jerusalem God instructs the Jews there to return and rest. Anyone who tries to flee Jerusalem will be captured (Isa 30:16). Then the residue of the city will huddle together on Mount Zion (which is the “City of David”) in Jerusalem and wait for their redeemer.
Isa 30:15-18 For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not. 16 But ye said, No; for we will flee upon horses; therefore shall ye flee: and, We will ride upon the swift; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift. 17 One thousand shall flee at the rebuke of one; at the rebuke of five shall ye flee: till ye be left as a beacon upon the top of a mountain, and as an ensign on an hill. 18 And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him. 19 For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee.
Mount Zion is located to the south of the Temple Mount. Mount Zion is also called the city of David. The city of David is the oldest and original site of the city of Jerusalem. Let’s see if the U.S. Embassy will be placed in the city of David.
For the U.S. Embassy to become the prophetic place of refuge it would need to be built in the city of David (or Mount Zion). It would also need to be built before the middle of the seven year long Tribulation period. That is when the Antichrist will attack Jerusalem beginning Jerusalem’s great tribulation. The Bible says that for any Jews to be saved who have been caught inside of Jerusalem when the Antichrist attacks they must return and wait on Mount Zion. These are those Jews who have not been subjected to death, captivity, hardship, or starvation.
Concerning moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem; Turkish President Erdogan said, “Mr. Trump, Jerusalem is a red line for all Muslims”. “We will gather the whole of the Muslim world”.
Now do you believe me when I say that Turkish President Erdogan is the Antichrist?

The beginning of the destruction of Damascus

May, 9 2018: Iran and Israel are fighting in Syria!
Do you know what happened in 734 BC? Well it’s about to happen again. If we understand Bible prophecy and Bible history then we should expect things to heat up between Syria and Israel. Today Iran and Syria are at war with Israel.
In 734 BC Israel was also having trouble on its northern border with Syria. 2Kings chapters 16 and 17 tell us all about it. In 734 BC Israel asked Assyria (or northern Iraq today) for help to fight against Syria. After Assyria conquered Syria and took Damascus they then attacked northern Israel. This is a model for the end time events that are unfolding now. Iran is at war with Israel in Syria but Israel may ask Turkey for help. I think that Turkey will destroy Damascus!
The destruction of Damascus begins in northwestern Syria. In the following verse, Hamah and Arpad are two cities in northwestern Syria. The Turkish Army is amassed outside of these two cities now. Arpad is called Tell Rifaat today.
Jeremiah 49:23 Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.
Turkish President Erdogan said that the Turkish Army will attack Tell Rifaat next. Erdogan said that he will not stop until Syrian President Assad is removed from power in Damascus. So we can see that Turkey intends to attack Hamah and Tell Rifaat soon. Turkey also plans to conquer Damascus just like Jeremiah predicts.
Ezekiel chapter 38 describes a Turkish led invasion into Israel. Every nation that is listed in Ezekiel 38:5 is now fighting in Syria. Ezekiel chapter 38 describes the battle of Gog and Magog. There is a popular misconception that Russia is Gog and Magog but the truth is that Gog is Turkey and Magog is its ruler. After Turkey destroys Damascus they will lead the forces that are now fighting in Syria into northern Israel. That includes Iran. Iran is listed as Persia in the following verse.
Ezekiel 38:5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:
Israel and Iran are now fighting in Syria. Christians are saying that “World War III has begun!” Nobody understands what truly is coming. The fact that Israel is at war in Syria isn’t the beginning of World War III but it may be a catalyst to finally mobilize the Turkish Army against the Syrian Army in Hamah and in Tell Rifaat. The war in Syria may bring the Turkish Army southward to destroy Damascus.
My fellow Christians, the war between Iran and Syria, and Israel is to be expected. This is Bible prophecy unfolding. I’m certain that the skirmish between Iran and Israel will be dramatic but it won’t be the main event. The war at Syria’s southern border will be a catalyst for Turkey to finally destroy Damascus. These events also happened long ago. Israel is at war with Iran in Syria, but that isn’t the big news. The bigger news is that Turkey will destroy Damascus in the guise of helping Israel BUT after Turkey destroys Damascus they will then lead the forces that are now fighting in Syria into northern Israel.
In the Bible the Antichrist is compared to the ancient Assyrian kings. The reenactment of the Assyrian conquest of Syria and the following invasion of northern Israel identifies the Antichrist. That means that Turkish President Erdogan is the Antichrist! It’s High Time to understand end time Bible prophecy. It’s High Time to Awake.

How big is Ezekiel’s temple?
How big is Ezekiel’s temple?
It is much too big to be built on the current site.

Ezekiel chapters 40 through 47 provide a detailed description of a future temple in Jerusalem. This is the temple that Jesus Christ will rule from during the millennial kingdom. That is the first one thousand years after Jesus’ return at his second coming. Jesus Christ will return to defeat Israel’s enemies and he will then set up his throne in Jerusalem to rule there forever.
Jerusalem will look a little different then. For instance; the small hill known as Mount Zion where the temple building will sit will become a very high mountain.
Eze 40:2 In the visions of God brought he me into the land of Israel, and set me upon a very high mountain, by which was as the frame of a city on the south.
Isa 2:2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
How high will Mount Zion become? I don’t know but according to the dimensions that Ezekiel gives for the land area that is dedicated to the temple and to its service, Mount Zion could easily be one mile high! The temple site will be one mile square but the land surrounding the temple will be about 52 miles long and 21 miles wide. If we were to fit a mountain into those dimensions it could easily reach to one mile high even with gentle slopes.
The following verses describe the outside length of the temple building site. The temple building site will include walls, courtyards, many rooms, and of course the temple itself. The dimensions are given in “reeds”. One reed is equal to eleven feet. Five hundred reeds are equal to 5,500 feet or just over one mile. So the temple proper will be about one mile square.
Eze 42:15-19 Now when he had made an end of measuring the inner house, he brought me forth toward the gate whose prospect is toward the east, and measured it round about. 16 He measured the east side with the measuring reed, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed round about. 17 He measured the north side, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed round about. 18 He measured the south side, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed. 19 He turned about to the west side, and measured five hundred reeds with the measuring reed.
In the next verses Ezekiel describes the land area around the temple that is dedicated to God himself. The outskirts of this holy parcel will be for the Levites who will serve at the temple site. The Levites will build their homes on the gentle foothills that surround the mountain of the temple of God. The entire land mass that is dedicated to God’s temple is about fifty two miles long by twenty one miles wide. That’s big.
Eze 45:1-2 Moreover, when ye shall divide by lot the land for inheritance, ye shall offer an oblation unto the LORD, an holy portion of the land: the length shall be the length of five and twenty thousand reeds, and the breadth shall be ten thousand. This shall be holy in all the borders thereof round about. 2 Of this there shall be for the sanctuary five hundred in length, with five hundred in breadth, square round about; and fifty cubits round about for the suburbs thereof.
Here is an interesting feature about the temple mountain. A river of water will flow out of the east side of God’s temple. The river will flow down the east side of the mountain down to the Dead Sea. The river will become deep and wide and the waters will bring new life to the desert and also to the Dead Sea. There will be water for swimming and many fish in the Dead Sea.
Eze 47:8 Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.
Jerusalem will be a much different place after Jesus returns. God’s temple will be high and lifted up on his holy mountain. The land of Israel will be watered and brimming with life. Israel, God’s chosen people will live in peace there forevermore.
Ezekiel’s temple is not the next temple that will be built in Jerusalem.There is a terrible time of trouble coming upon Israel and also upon the entire world. For seven years world powers beginning with Turkey will oppress Israel. Wars and natural disasters will kill perhaps one half of the worlds population. This seven year period of trouble is known as the “Tribulation period”. During the Tribulation period another temple will be built in Jerusalem. Animal sacrifices will resume for a while until the Antichrist stops them. Jerusalem will then be devastated for three and one half years which is the second half of the seven year period of trouble. At the end of the seven years Jesus Christ will return to vanquish Israel’s enemies.
The temple that is to be built during the Tribulation period should not be confused with Ezekiel’s temple that will be built after the Tribulation period. Ezekiel’s temple will be built after Jesus Christ returns. Ezekiel’s temple will be much bigger than the Tribulation temple. Unfortunately Jewish rabbis today think that by building a temple in Jerusalem they will bring lasting peace. But the Bible says that when they say peace and safety then sudden destruction will come upon them.

Turkish President Erdogan is about to become the official dictator of Turkey

Turkish President Erdogan has called for early elections citing the Syrian war as his motivation. After Turkey’s snap election Turkey’s parliamentary system will be swiftly transformed into a presidential system. The Parliament will continue but with limited power. The position of Prime Minister will be abolished. Erdogan will be able to appoint several new parliament members and he will be able to fire others. The president will be anointed head of the executive branch with the power to issue decrees with the force of law, prepare the budget, dissolve parliament on the condition that new elections be held for the presidency and parliament simultaneously, and appoint high-level officials, including ministers and some top judges.
After Erdogan wins the June 24th election he will undoubtedly order the Turkish Army further into Syria. The Bible tells us that the conqueror of Syria is the Antichrist. Turkish President Erdogan is the Antichrist

The destruction of Damascus, invasion into Israel, and return of Jesus are near!

Turkey has just created a new “National Army” in Syria. Most of these forces are foreign Sunni Al-Qaeda fighters from Libya and Sudan but also include Sunni Al-Qaeda fighters from Syria as well as Syrian Turkmen plus a few Syrian Kurds.
Ezekiel chapter 38 describes Turkey as they lead Iran, Libya, and Sudan “and many people with them” into Israel.
Ezekiel 38:5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:
Please notice that these nations have now formed a coalition under Turkish direction. Turkey is leading these nations and not Russia. So many Bible teachers say that Russia will lead the Ezekiel chapter 38 invasion into Israel but they are incorrect. It has been so very easy to see that these Sunni Muslim fighters have been aligned with Turkey all along. Russia has approved the formation of this new “National Army” provided that they do not fight against the Syrian Army. My question is, who else is there to fight against? This pushes the Turkish Army towards direct military conflict with the Syrian Army.
Iran is also fighting in Syria on behalf of the Assad regime. At some point we should expect Iran to also side with Turkey.
Just so that you know, Jeremiah 49:23-27 describes Turkey as they attack Hamah and Tell Rifaat in northwestern Syria and then destroy Damascus. I think that after Turkey destroys Damascus then they will lead the forces that are now fighting in Syria into the Golan Heights of Israel.

Right now the Turkish Army is amassed in northwestern Syria near Hamah and Tell Rifaat just like Jeremiah describes. I have been telling folks about these inevitable developments since the beginning of the Syrian war. Where are my fellow Bible teachers searching these things out?
The Ezekiel chapter 38 invasion into Israel and the Jeremiah 49:23-27 destruction of Damascus are major Bible prophecy themes. I say that they mark the last days before the seven year long Tribulation period and also the resurrection and Rapture of Christians.
The nations that are listed in Ezekiel chapter 38 have been fighting in Syria for the past seven years. Now they have united under Turkey leadership. So I ask you; where are the Christian voices warning about these obvious developments?
By the way, I think that Jesus will return to turn back the Turkish led invasion when the Turkish Army reaches the Golan Heights of Israel. You are only hearing about the near time Turkish led destruction of Damascus and invasion into northern Israel here at hightimetoawake.com.
This verse was written to Church age believers.
Rev 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
There is no reason that Jesus Christ should come upon you as a thief in the night unless you neglect to watch. Unfortunately, almost nobody has awoken even after seven years of being warned.

Satan has fallen
But he has not yet been cast out of heaven!

Many Christians read 2Thessalonians 2:3 and conclude that the Holy Spirit or the Church must be removed from the earth before the Antichrist can be revealed or the Tribulation can begin. But I say that the “falling away” in 2Tessalonians 2:3 describes the casting out of Satan from heaven to the earth.
2Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
The Holy Spirit will be active on earth during the Tribulation. Many people will be saved during the Tribulation. The Holy Spirit can not be taken away as long as there are people who are trusting God.
Rev 7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Satan has certainly fallen from his previous glorious estate but Satan has not yet been completely banned from heaven. The following verse is written about the Tribulation period. Satan has been in Heaven accusing believers in front of God. So around the time of the Tribulation period Satan will be cast down from heaven to earth.
Revelation 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
Satan is the one who prevents the Antichrist from being revealed with false signs. Because Satan must fall from Heaven to Earth in order to empower the man called the Antichrist.
2Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2Th 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
A “falling away” is the fall of Satan not the removal of the Holy Spirit. Satan must be cast out of Heaven to the Earth before the Antichrist is empowered. Jesus said that he saw Satan fall as lighting. I think that this statement is prophetic. This event may even be visible from earth. By the way, I think that Satan will finally be cast out of heaven any day now.
