Turkey planning to attack Tell Rifaat
Turkey planning to attack Tell Rifaat

Tell Rifaat is Arpad mentioned in Jeremiah 49:23
By Craig C. White
The Prophet Jeremiah tells us that just before the destruction of Damascus the northwestern Syrian towns of Hamah and Tell Rifaat will hear reports of a coming invasion. The modern day town of Tell Rifaat is identified as “Arpad” in Jeremiah 49:23.
Jeremiah 49:23 Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.
Reports are just now surfacing of Turkey’s intentions to attack Tell Rifaat very soon.
Following are excerpts from an article on Al Monitor dated May 1, 2017 US move to protect YPG could push Turkey into Russia’s arms
A commander from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the YPG-led army uniting Arabs and Kurds trained by the United States to fight IS, told Al-Monitor that a Turkish play for Tal Rifaat was afoot and that Russian military advisers in Syria had warned them of an “imminent” Turkish attack.
Erdogan declared, “I could come unexpectedly, at any time.”
The Turkish Army is very likely to swarm into northwestern Syria at Hamah and Tell Rifaat and then march southward to besiege Damascus.

Bodies of ISIS fighters litter the streets of western Mosul
Bodies of ISIS fighters litter the streets of western Mosul
The Prophet Nahum predicted slain bodies littering Mosul
By Craig C. White
The battle to liberate Mosul in northern Iraq has been ongoing since October 16, 2016. Mosul is the hometown and headquarters of ISIS. The Tigris River flows southward through the middle of Mosul dividing the city in half. Eastern Mosul was retaken by the Iraqi Army by mid January 2017. Now the Iraqi Army is fighting ISIS in the much more densely populated western side of the city. ISIS has put up a fierce resistance using car-bombs, armed drones, and snipers against the Iraqi Army. Because of the danger of being out in the open the Iraqi Army has been forced to leave the bodies of slain ISIS fighters laying in the streets where they fall. The rotting bodies are creating disease outbreaks. The Prophet Nahum predicted that there would be slain bodies littering Mosul.
Nahum 3:3 The horseman lifteth up both the bright sword and the glittering spear: and there is a multitude of slain, and a great number of carcases; and there is none end of their corpses; they stumble upon their corpses:
Mosul is ancient Nineveh!! The Prophet Nahum foretells the destruction of Nineveh. In 612 BC the city was flooded by the Tigris River and was also besieged by three nations. After the Tigris River overflowed its banks knocking down part of the city wall, Babylon, Persia, and the Medes plundered Nineveh for two months leveling the city. Today the same three nations are fighting against ISIS in Mosul. They are Iraq, Iran, and the Kurds. Perhaps God will send another flood along with these three armies to once again overwhelm Mosul at Nineveh!
Nahum 1:8 But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies.
Conditions in Mosul are the same as they were in ancient Nineveh. There is overflowing bloodshed. Dead bodies lay in the streets. The Mosul dam is in danger of bursting. The same three armies are set against Mosul. Nahum likely also foretells the destruction of Mosul. I expect the Mosul dam to burst very soon.

Water level on the Tigris River is high!
Water level on the Tigris River is high!
It’s High Time for ISIS in Mosul to be destroyed by a flood
By Craig C. White
Due to spring rains the water level on the Tigris River is high. The rising water has closed the temporary pontoon bridges that were erected by the Iraqi Army forcing citizens to flee western Mosul in small boats. To make matters worse, Engineers have been working to repair the feeble Mosul dam located just a few miles upstream of the city of Mosul. On May 4th, 2017 one of the damaged floodgates on the Mosul dam was opened for the first time in twelve years. Engineers say that the water level of the Tigris will rise even more next week.
Nahum 2:6 The gates of the rivers shall be opened, and the palace shall be dissolved.
The Prophet Nahum predicts the flooding of ISIS in Mosul. Nahum says that when ISIS is gathered closely together then they will be destroyed by a flood of water. Well today ISIS is gathered closely together near the Al Nuri Mosque in western Mosul. The gates of the Tigris River have literally been opened.

French presidential candidate Emmanuel Macron is not the Antichrist
French presidential candidate Emmanuel Macron is not the Antichrist
Will the real Antichrist please stand up!
By Craig C. White
Barack Obama, the Pope, Prime Minister of Greece Alexis Tsipras, French presidential candidate Emmanuel Macron, Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, Prince William of England, Jared Kushner, Hillary Clinton; all of these people have been proposed as being the Antichrist. But I am here to tell you that the true Antichrist is not on this list at all.
Christians continually make rash guesses about the identity of the true Antichrist. Their guesses are typically based on adding up the numbers of names to equal 666, or on some Bible code that they have suddenly discovered, or on a ghostly visitor they have encountered in their own dreams. Often Christians form their staunch beliefs solely on their own fuzzy feelings or even on something that they watched in a movie. They hardly ever offer any sound Biblical evidence. Try as you may you can not change their minds once they have them made up.
The Antichrist is alive today and his identity is very evident based on the description that the Bible provides. The Antichrist is compared to the ancient Assyrian kings in the book of Isaiah because the Antichrist will do the same things that the Assyrian kings did. The Antichrist will conquer Syria (Jer 49:23-27, Isaiah 17:1) and then invade northern Israel (Eze 38). He will come back latter to invade southern Israel (Eze 39, This is the same as the battle of Armageddon). Turkish President Erdogan has vowed to remove Syrian President Assad from power in Damascus. According to Jeremiah 49:23-27 the northwestern cities of Syria will hear about an invasion coming from the Turkish border. Next the residents of Damascus will flee into Jordan (Amos 1:3-5). Then the Turkish Army will march to Damascus to destroy it utterly. Today the Turkish Army is lined up along the Syrian border.
Ezekiel 38:2 describes the “chief prince” among Meshech and Tubal. Meshech and Tubal were the first princes that were set over provinces in the land that we call Turkey today. Most Bible maps show them there. The “chief prince” of Meshech and Tubal is describing the primary governor among the provinces of Turkey! Turkish President Erdogan was the Prime Minister of Turkey for twelve years before he was elected as President in December 2014.
Turkish President Erdogan is in fact the real Antichrist! He is in the process of reestablishing the Turkish led Ottoman Empire. He already has much of the Islamic world on his side. An end time Islamic Union is represented by a leopard in Daniel 7:6. This Islamic Union will combine together with the European Union along with the new Russian Union to form the next World Empire. Turkish President Erdogan will eventually become its lone ruler.
The Bible says that the Antichrist will exalt himself above the God of Israel (2Th 2:4). Turkish President Erdogan has already been declared as being “equal to Allah” by the highest council of Muslim clerics in Turkey. The Islamic world is looking to Erdogan to usher in their promised Islamic Caliphate.
When I tell you that Turkish President Erdogan is in fact the Antichrist. I am not just guessing! My analysis is not based on misguided feelings. I am openly presenting the Biblical evidence so that nobody can doubt.
The Islamic world knows that Turkish President Erdogan is healing the wounded head (Rev 13:1-3) of the Turkish led Ottoman Empire and they are cheering him on! Why can’t Christians recognize the true identity of the Antichrist even when faced with overwhelming Biblical evidence that was written for their own understanding? Turkish President Erdogan is the Antichrist! Next he will invade Syria (Jer 49:23-27) from its northwestern border and then destroy Damascus (Isaiah 17:1). Afterward he will lead an invasion into the Golan Heights (Eze 38)! The entire world is already talking about taking the Golan Heights away from Israel!
Do you think that you know who the Antichrist is? Well did you know that Daniel says that the Antichrist will invade Egypt by many ships. Will your Antichrist candidate do that? Mine says that he will.
Daniel 11:40 And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.
Turkey is located just three hundred miles across the Mediterranean Sea from Egypt. Turkey has embarked on a massive naval personnel carrier building program. Turkish President Erdogan has vowed to reinstate Muslim Brotherhood Presidential candidate Mohammed Morsi back into office in Egypt. Turkish President Erdogan is the Antichrist.
The Antichrist will do many other things that the Bible tells us about. He will make a covenant with Israel and then oppress them terribly. Turkish President Erdogan is already in the process of finalizing the Turkey-Israel reconciliation agreement. Erdogan has already announced that Jerusalem must be conquered for Islam! Will the pope accomplish these things? Will your own pet Antichrist candidate accomplish these things?
Turkish President Erdogan really is the Antichrist. He will rule during the coming seven year long Tribulation period. Christians will be removed from the earth before the Tribulation begins. The Resurrection and Rapture is very near! It is High Time to Awake!

Nahum nixes Nineveh next
Verse by verse through NahumBy Craig C. White
The book of Nahum is all about the destruction of the ancient city of Nineveh. God destroyed Nineveh with a flood and also with three plundering armies. The modern day city of Mosul is built alongside of the ruins of ancient Nineveh. As a matter of fact Nineveh lays within the city limits of Mosul! The prophet Nahum said that God will judge the place where Nineveh was built. Both cities were built in the same place. By all practical standards Mosul is Nineveh. Therefore the book of Nahum describes the destruction of ancient Nineveh and it also very probably describes the present day destruction of Mosul in northern Iraq! We all know that the Al-Qaeda terrorist group called ISIS has taken control of the city of Mosul. They are killing hundreds of thousands of its residents.
When Hebrew prophets talk about the burden of a city or nation they are describing the portion of God’s judgment that it must endure. Nahum is describing Nineveh’s plight. I think he is also describing the plight of ISIS in Mosul today!
Nahum 1:1 The burden of Nineveh. The book of the vision of Nahum the Elkoshite.
The name Nahum means comfort. He didn’t comfort the city of Nineveh but he did comfort the nation of Israel by telling them that one of their enemies would be vanquished by God. Nahum was one of the Israeli captives that were taken away by the Assyrian Empire around 740 BC. So during the time that Nahum wrote his book he lived in Assyria or what we call northern Iraq today. Nahum lived in a town called Elkosh. Today the small town of Elkosh is known as Alqosh. Alqosh is located about twenty miles to the north of the city of Mosul. As a matter of fact it overlooks the Mosul dam. If the Mosul dam was ever to burst, Alqosh is as close as you could get to the dam without drowning. What does the name Elkosh mean? Elkosh means God the ensnarer.
To ensnare means to catch something in a trap. God set a trap for Nineveh. God ensnared the city of Nineveh by planting it by the Tigris River. In 612 BC God sent a torrential rain which overflowed the banks of the Tigris River flooding the city. The city of Mosul is sitting in an even worse trap. In 1985 construction of the Mosul dam was completed. Ever since the dam was put into service there have been concerns about its stability and safety. It seems that the ground it was built on is dissolving! The dam requires constant upkeep to prevent it from failing. The Mosul dam is located just north of the city. If the dam burst it would send a sixty foot high wave of water over the city of Mosul. So Nahum the comforter represents God the ensnarer.
I am not going to comment on every verse in Nahum. But I will say something about Nahum’s introduction. Nahum says that God will not allow wicked people to go unpunished. The ancient Ninevites were a lot like ISIS is today. They were blood thirsty murderers. God doesn’t like that. God punished Nineveh and he will likewise also punish ISIS in Mosul.
Nahum 1:3 The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.
Before he starts, Nahum gives God credit for vanquishing Israel’s enemies. Verses 3-7 describe the fierce display of Jesus Christ’s wrath as he returns to earth at his second coming. Jesus will return with tornados and rock melting fury. Nahum’s description of Christ’s return is a lot like the description that King David gave in his song of deliverance recorded in 2 Samuel 22. For a more robust description of Jesus’ return please read my commentary titled “The sign of Jesus’ coming” in my eBook “Israel’s Beacon of Hope”.
Here is something to take notice of. God has given the duty of Judgment to his son Jesus Christ (John 5:22). It was Jesus who flooded Nineveh. It will be Jesus again who will also flood Mosul.
Here it is. Nahum comes right out and tells us that God will destroy the place where Nineveh sits with a flood. Remember that Mosul sits in the same place! Nineveh was flattened. Mosul will also be flattened. ISIS in Mosul will be overflowed by a flood of water. Their bodies will be dragged down to the darkness of the deep water and their souls will be dragged down to the even darker depths of the earth.
Nahum 1:8 But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies.
In verse 9 below Nahum declares that God’s judgment will be final. In other words, we won’t have any more trouble from ISIS.
Nahum 1:9 What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time.
In verse 10 below Nahum describes the members of ISIS gathered together in a thick crowd. They are drunk celebrating their immoral rapes and murders. God will gather ISIS together in Mosul like one would gather brush to burn. ISIS will be quickly and completely destroyed.
Nahum 1:10 For while they be folden together as thorns, and while they are drunken as drunkards, they shall be devoured as stubble fully dry.
Next Nahum identifies one particular person among the inhabitants of Nineveh who is an enemy of the God of Israel. Nahum may be identifying Assyrian King Sinsharishkun who was in power during the fall of Nineveh. Nahum may also be identifying the ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. Al-Baghdadi has declared himself as the ruler of a new Islamic Empire. Of course the goal of Islam is the annihilation of Israel so Al-Baghdadi is also the enemy of the God of Israel. Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi now lives in Mosul.
Nahum 1:11 There is one come out of thee, that imagineth evil against the LORD, a wicked counsellor.
The next three verses are interesting. We know that many nations will come against Israel during the Great Tribulation. Jesus will personally wipe them out at his second coming. It seems that ISIS will be dealt with beforehand. Assyria or northern Iraq is not listed in the Gog and Magog wars of Ezekiel 38 and 39 or in the battle of Armageddon (same as Ezekiel 39). Northern Iraq will assist Jordan during the Psalm 83 war but they will not enter into the land of Israel. The Psalm 83 war in Jordan happens just a day or so before the battle of Armageddon. For more about Ezekiel 38 and 39, and Psalm 83 please read my eBooks “Halfway to Armageddon” and also “Israel’s Beacon of Hope”.
Nahum 1:12 Thus saith the LORD; Though they be quiet, and likewise many, yet thus shall they be cut down, when he shall pass through. Though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more.
In verse 13 below Nahum is comforting Israel. Back in 612 BC the Assyrians in Nineveh enslaved the Israelites. God destroyed Nineveh with a flood. God will also destroy Mosul with a flood. God will not allow ISIS in Mosul to bother Israel anymore.
Nahum 1:13 For now will I break his yoke from off thee, and will burst thy bonds in sunder.
All you hear about today is ISIS. After God gets through with them nobody will be talking about them.
Nahum 1:14 And the LORD hath given a commandment concerning thee, that no more of thy name be sown: out of the house of thy gods will I cut off the graven image and the molten image: I will make thy grave; for thou art vile.
Jesus Christ is the person and authority behind the flooding of Mosul. God will destroy ISIS as they are gathered together in Mosul. The same city that was their home will become their grave. God will catch Mosul in its own trap.
Nineveh was flooded long ago. Mosul will fall in like fashion. The city of Mosul has a population of 1.5 million. I heard one report lately that about 500,000 people are in immediate danger if the Mosul dam breaks.
In the verse below the palace refers to a building large enough to accommodate a gathering of many people. I think that Nahum is being very accurate here. ISIS in Mosul will be gathered together in a large auditorium when the flood hits!
Nahum 2:6 The gates of the rivers shall be opened, and the palace shall be dissolved.
The verse below literally says that Nineveh will be like a water reservoir for many days. ISIS leaders will command the people to stand and fight but nobody will listen. Anybody left alive will flee.
Nahum 2:8 But Nineveh is of old like a pool of water: yet they shall flee away. Stand, stand, shall they cry; but none shall look back.
I haven’t mentioned this yet but God first destroyed Nineveh with a flood and then three armies ransacked the city for two months! In 612 BC the Babylonians, Persians, and Medes attacked Nineveh when they saw it was in peril. Today those same three nations are fighting against ISIS in Mosul. They are the Iraqis, Iranians, and Kurds.
The Iraqi army along with the Iranian Guard and the Peshmerga Kurds will rifle through the city stealing everything of value. Just a note: the bible often refers to soldiers as lions. The ISIS soldiers will be wiped out.
Nahum 2:9-13 Take ye the spoil of silver, take the spoil of gold: for there is none end of the store and glory out of all the pleasant furniture. 10 She is empty, and void, and waste: and the heart melteth, and the knees smite together, and much pain is in all loins, and the faces of them all gather blackness. 11 Where is the dwelling of the lions, and the feedingplace of the young lions, where the lion, even the old lion, walked, and the lion’s whelp, and none made them afraid? 12 The lion did tear in pieces enough for his whelps, and strangled for his lionesses, and filled his holes with prey, and his dens with ravin. 13 Behold, I am against thee, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey from the earth, and the voice of thy messengers shall no more be heard.
ISIS has lusted after blood. They have filled Mosul with the blood of their fellow countrymen. God will not endure their evil deeds for long.
Nahum 3:1 Woe to the bloody city! it is all full of lies and robbery; the prey departeth not;
The next few verses may not reflect upon the present day destruction of Mosul. I wanted to cast a little light on them because they sound strange the first time you read them. The Assyrian King named Assur-banipal had conquered the city of No-Amon (or Thebes) in Upper Egypt in 663 B.C. God is telling the ancient Assyrians that even though Thebes was a great city it fell. God was just as able to destroy Nineveh.
Nahum 3:8-9 Art thou better than populous No, that was situate among the rivers, that had the waters round about it, whose rampart was the sea, and her wall was from the sea? 9 Ethiopia and Egypt were her strength, and it was infinite; Put and Lubim were thy helpers.
Like Nineveh, Mosul will be under siege after the flood. Its defenses will crumble. The three invading armies will pour into the city.
Nahum 3:11-13 Thou also shalt be drunken: thou shalt be hid, thou also shalt seek strength because of the enemy. 12 All thy strong holds shall be like fig trees with the firstripe figs: if they be shaken, they shall even fall into the mouth of the eater. 13 Behold, thy people in the midst of thee are women: the gates of thy land shall be set wide open unto thine enemies: the fire shall devour thy bars.
In verse 18 below, a shepherd is a ruler. The rulers of Nineveh are dead. The people of the city have taken refuge in the mountains. Nobody helps them. In verse 19 the word bruit simply means report. Everybody who hears the report about the destruction of ISIS in Mosul will clap their hands with approval.
Nahum 3:18-19 Thy shepherds slumber, O king of Assyria: thy nobles shall dwell in the dust: thy people is scattered upon the mountains, and no man gathereth them. 19 There is no healing of thy bruise; thy wound is grievous: all that hear the bruit of thee shall clap the hands over thee: for upon whom hath not thy wickedness passed continually?
Remember that the prophecies of Nahum are primarily about the ancient city of Nineveh. Everything written about its destruction has already happened. But in end time bible prophecy history often repeats itself. The modern day city of Mosul is built surrounding the place where Nineveh once was. ISIS in Mosul is acting a lot like the ancient Assyrians of Nineveh. The Mosul dam is feeble. Mosul has set a trap for itself. God has ensnared them.

ISIS is folden together as thorns
ISIS is folden together as thorns
The soon flooding of Mosul
By Craig C. White
The Iraqi Army and the Kurds are pushing ISIS closer together towards the center of Mosul city in northern Iraq. The Prophet Nahum is all about the flooding and destruction of the ancient Assyrian capital city of Nineveh. Today Nineveh is called Mosul. Nahum may also predict the flooding of ISIS in Mosul. Nahum predicted that the vile Assyrians would be gathered closely together inside of the city when their demise came upon them. Today ISIS is being forced into closer quarters west of the Tigris River.
Nahum 1:10 For while they be folden together as thorns, and while they are drunken as drunkards, they shall be devoured as stubble fully dry.
The city of Nineveh was destroyed in 612 BC when torrential rains flooded the Tigris River and knocked down a portion of the city walls. Afterwards three armies plundered the city until nothing was left. Those same three armies are fighting against Mosul today. In 612 BC the Babylonians, Medes, and Persians besieged Nineveh for three months before the city walls fell. It has been almost three months since the battle to retake Mosul began on October 17, 2016. Lately there have been renewed concerns that the Mosul dam could break. Perhaps Mosul will be destroyed in a flood shortly.
The flood that Nahum describes seems to be much greater than the flood that knocked down the walls of Nineveh. In 612 BC the armies were still able to enter the city and to plunder it for two months.
Nahum 1:8 But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies.
In 612 BC history reports that water from the Tigris River came up to the city gates of Nineveh. The flood waters washed out a nine hundred foot long section of the city walls along the Tigris River. Nahum describes a flood that will cover the city. He says that the city will look like a water reservoir for many days (Nahum 2:8). This could be describing the plight of Mosul today.
There are many similarities between ancient Nineveh and modern day Mosul. The predictions of Nahum are easily applicable to Mosul as well as to Nineveh. Of course the flooding of Mosul would be a catastrophic disaster of biblical proportions. But if ISIS in Mosul isn’t wiped out in a great flood than I am going to have a stern conversation with Nahum when I see him!

The gates of the rivers shall be opened
The gates of the rivers shall be opened
and the palace shall be dissolved
By Craig C. White
Construction of the Mosul dam was completed in the mid 1980’s. Ever since then the gypsum soil foundation of the dam has been dissolving. Liquid cement called grout has been required to be constantly pumped into the voids since construction. The brief takeover of the dam by ISIS in 2014 and the ongoing war in Mosul have interrupted the maintenance schedule of the Mosul dam. Several flood gates of the Mosul dam had also been damaged. The gates had actually broken off of their hinges. Since late in 2016 the Italian contractor Trevi has been performing grouting operations to fill in the voids of the dissolving soil foundation. Engineers have also been working to repair the inoperable flood gates.
Well just now one of the broken floodgates of the Mosul dam has been repaired and has been opened for the first time in twelve years. Engineers say that the Tigris River will rise next week.
The Prophet Nahum predicts the flooding of ISIS in Mosul. He says that the gates of the Tigris River will be opened.
Nahum 2:6 The gates of the rivers shall be opened, and the palace shall be dissolved.
As of May 4, 2017 gate No. 5 of the Tigris River has literally been opened. The first part of Nahum 2:6 has been fulfilled. If the Mosul dam were to break it would send a seventy five foot high wave of water over Mosul flooding the last remnant of ISIS fighters trapped inside of the city. By the way; I think that Nahum identifies the Al Nuri Mosque as “the palace” in the second part of Nahum 2:6. ISIS is making their last stand at the Al Nuri Mosque in western Mosul.
Here is a video presentation by Paul Leyer about the flooding of Mosul. Paul is the only other Bible teacher who has observed that the Prophet Nahum predicts the flooding of ISIS in Mosul.

A prophecy against ISIS
A prophecy against ISIS
Assyria will not rise a second time
By Craig C. White
Today the Iraqi Prime Minister announced the beginning of the offensive to retake Mosul in northern Iraq from ISIS. Mosul is the hometown and headquarters of ISIS. Mosul is also the ancient city of Nineveh. The Prophet Nahum predicted the flooding of the Assyrian capital city of Nineveh that happened in 612 BC.
Nahum 1:8 But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies.
In 612 BC God sent torrential rain to swell the Tigris River and flood the city. When Assyria’s enemies saw that the city was in distress they rushed in and plundered the city for two months until nothing was left. Three nations plundered Nineveh. They were Babylon, Persia, and the Medes. Today the same three armies are fighting against Mosul. The Mosul dam is also in danger of bursting. Nahum may have also predicted the flooding of ISIS in Mosul.
ISIS represents a revived Assyrian State. ISIS has been working towards establishing a new Islamic Empire but God told Nahum that that would never happen again. The Assyrian Empire will not rise a second time!
Nahum 1:9 What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time.
If ISIS had read the book of Nahum they could have saved themselves a lot of trouble for nothing. If we had read the book of Nahum then we could have saved ourselves a lot of worry.
I think that Nahum’s words apply today. The city of Mosul will be destroyed in a flood and then Iraq, Iran, and the Kurds will plunder what is left.

Showdown at Al Nuri Mosque
Showdown at Al Nuri Mosque
Photo courtesy of the Library of CongressISIS last stand
By Craig C. White
The Iraqi Army is approaching the Great Al Nuri Mosque. This may be the last stand for ISIS before Mosul is flooded. The Al Nuri Mosque is located on the west side of the Tigris River in downtown Mosul in northern Iraq. ISIS is fiercely defending the Mosque. The Al Nuri Mosque was where ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi announced the creation of his Islamic Caliphate. The Al Nuri Mosque was built in 1172 AD and is famous for its 148 foot tall leaning minaret.
The Iraqi Army has surrounded ISIS in Mosul and is corralling them towards the heart of the city. The center of Mosul is much more densely populated than the areas that have already been taken back from ISIS. The downtown streets are narrower making it difficult to maneuver armored vehicles inside of the city.
There are an estimated 600,000 civilians still trapped in Mosul. There is now a concerted effort to evacuate civilians out of Mosul before a full scale attack is launched against the Al Nuri Mosque and the city center. The evacuation of civilians may be a demonstration of God’s grace because I believe that the Prophet Nahum predicted the flooding of ISIS in Mosul. According to Nahum, the flood will come when they are gathered closely together. The verse below says that ISIS will be wrapped up like brambles ready to be burned in a fire.
Nahum 1:10 For while they be folden together as thorns, and while they are drunken as drunkards, they shall be devoured as stubble fully dry.
The Prophet Nahum predicted the flooding and destruction of the ancient Assyrian capital city of Nineveh. Nineveh was flooded and completely ransacked in 612 BC. Today the northern Iraq city of Mosul is built around the ruins of Nineveh. Mosul is still called Nineveh by local Iraqis. Bible prophecy often has multiple fulfillment. Nahum may have also predicted the flooding and destruction of ISIS in Mosul.
Nahum 1:8 But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies.
History reports that In 612 BC water from the Tigris River rose up to the city gates of Nineveh. The flood waters washed out a nine hundred foot long section of the city walls along the Tigris River. Afterward the Babylonians, Persians and Medes ransacked the city for two months until nothing was left. Today the same three armies are besieging Mosul.
Getting back to the Mosque; Nahum also predicted that Nineveh’s palace (or large meeting place) would be dissolved in the flood. Back in 612 BC the palace of Assyrian King Sennacherib was plunged into the flood waters. Amazingly the ruins of Sennacherib’s palace have just now been rediscovered for the first time since Nineveh was flooded. ISIS is making a stand at the Al Nuri Mosque. Nahum may also be identifying the Al Nuri Mosque as “the palace” in the following verse.
Nahum 2:6 The gates of the rivers shall be opened, and the palace shall be dissolved.
In the verse below, Nahum identifies a certain wicked person that has come out of the city. This may be identifying Assyrian King Sinsharishkun who was in the city of Nineveh when it was destroyed. However, there have been unconfirmed reports that ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has recently fled Mosul and is now hiding in nearby desert towns to the west. Al-Baghdadi may be better described here.
Nahum 1:11 There is one come out of thee, that imagineth evil against the LORD, a wicked counsellor.
Nahum describes an overrunning flood that will cover the city. He says that the city will look like a water reservoir for many days (Nahum 2:8). Nahum’s prophecy was fulfilled in 612 BC but the magnitude of the flood that he described may point to a future event. Many of the circumstances in Mosul echo Nineveh’s destruction. Today the Mosul dam is in danger of bursting. If the dam brakes it could send a seventy five foot high wave of water over downtown Mosul.
Jesus promised the Jewish religious leaders that he would give them one sign that he was truly their Messiah. He promised to give them the sign of the Prophet Jonah. Jonah spent three days inside of the belly of a fish. After Jonah was spit out he went directly to the city of Nineveh.
Matthew 12:38-41 Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee. 39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: 40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. 41 The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.
The flooding of Mosul may be the one and only sign that will be given to Israel before their time of tribulation begins. Jesus is the true Messiah of Israel. Repent! Turn away from your unbelief and humble yourself before Jesus Christ.

Trump hopeful on Israeli – Palestinian peace deal
Trump hopeful on Israeli – Palestinian peace deal
Trump is not the Antichrist!
By Craig C. White
Yep Trump figures that an Israeli – Palestinian peace plan will be the toughest deal that he will ever make. But don’t jump to conclusions. Trump isn’t the Antichrist. He’s just a US President doing his job.
US President Donald Trump may play a role in the Israeli peace process but we can all be certain that Donald Trump is not the Antichrist. That’s because Turkish President Erdogan is the Antichrist. Erdogan is the “chief prince” or primary governor of Turkey (Eze 38:1-3). He will destroy Damascus (Jer 49: 23-27) and then lead the forces that are fighting in Syria into northern Israel (Eze 38). I think that this will happen very soon. Erdogan will also invade Egypt during the first half of the seven year long Tribulation period (Dan 11:42). All of these things are the actions of the Antichrist. Erdogan has already announced his plans to do all of these things!
There isn’t a peace deal in Israel yet. Many past US Presidents have tried and all have failed. I suspect that a few cataclysmic events must happen before all sides see the need to finalize an Israeli peace deal. According to Ezekiel chapter 38 Turkey will lead an invasion into northern Israel. God will fight against them with torrential rain and disease and infighting. So this Turkish led invasion will fail. This could facilitate the necessity of an international security agreement with Israel. The Rapture could happen soon. Perhaps Jesus will take away Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Zechariah says that God will raise up a wicked Israeli ruler who will give away his land and its security. A lot of Bible prophecy events are about to happen. So stay tuned.
