Look for an Islamic Union represented by a leopard!

    The new Ottoman Empire!

    By Craig C. White

    Islamic Union

Today we live in a very evil time. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced his plans for the formation of a new Islamic Union covering North Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia. Erdogan wants to reconstitute the Turkish ruled Ottoman Empire. This Union is most certainly the leopard that is described in Daniel 7:6. According to Daniel chapter 7 this Islamic Union (or leopard) will unite together with the European Union, and the newly formed Russian Union to comprise the next World Empire. Like I said Russia has already begun the formation of its end time Union. This Russian Union is described as a bear in Daniel 7:5.

In Daniel chapter seven the new Union that will be represented by a leopard has four heads and also four wings. I have been expecting to see the formation of an eight nation confederacy but this new Union may instead be composed of eight tribal regions. The leadership of this new Union may even be composed of Islamic terrorist organizations. Turkey has been in league with Muslim Brotherhood, Al-Qaeda, Hamas, and Hezbollah leadership. In Daniel chapter 7 this new Union will even be given legitimate political status on the world stage.

Daniel 7:6 After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it.

Once this Islamic Union is formed and certainly signified as a leopard then we are only a treaty away from the creation of the end time World Empire that will oppress Israel and then be destroyed at Jesus Christ’s second coming! Throughout world history the nation of Israel has suffered terribly under the rule of every past World Empire. Israel will suffer its greatest tribulation under the next World Empire.

Erdogan has already shunned Saudi Arabia; singling the nation out as the enemy of the new Turkish led Islamic Union. This makes perfect biblical sense. As I read the bible it indicates that during the Tribulation Iran and the Kurds will destroy an Arabic city known as “Mystery Babylon” in Revelation 17:5. I think that city is Dubai. Saudi Arabia is Iran’s most reviled enemy.

I wrote my commentary titled “The Leopard is Upon Us!” way back in 2011. Since then the identity of the four primary nations of the leopard in Daniel 7:6 has become more apparent. In November 2014 then Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan announced his plans to form a new Islamic Union. I think that the first four nations to be included in this Union will be Turkey, Syria, Iraq, and Iran. These are the same four nations that Revelation 9:13-16 identifies as being located along the Euphrates River. During the first half of the seven year Tribulation period these four nations along with four other secondary nations (or perhaps four Terrorist organizations) will conquer most of the Middle East, Northern Africa, and Central Asia. Please read my commentary titled World War III.

Rev 9:13-16 And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, 14 Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. 15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. 16 And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.

Now President Erdogan has made his intentions of forming a Turkish ruled revived Ottoman Empire with him a it’s Sultan very clear! The first nation to fall to Erdogan and to the Turkish Army will be Syria. After Damascus is destroyed and Syria is conquered then Erdogan will install Muslim Brotherhood leadership there! Then the leopard (or Islamic Union) will be formed.

Some bible teachers are looking for a ten nation or ten king confederacy ruling over this new Islamic Union. But the bible doesn’t describe a ten king Islamic Union (or leopard). Instead it describes a ten king World Empire. When the EU, Russia, and the new Islamic Union combine then they will be ruled over by ten kings!

The sun has been shining since Jesus Christ’s resurrection. The light of the gospel has shined throughout the world. But now we can see the sun sinking low in the sky. It has been High Time to Awake but soon the sun will set when no man can work!

What shall be the sign of thy coming?

    Earthquakes , or the Antichrist?

    Matthew 24

    By Craig C. White

Many bible teachers say that there will be earthquakes and wars before Jesus Christ returns for his Church. They say that these signs are the beginning of sorrows mentioned in Matthew 24:8. Well hold on just a minute. Are these signs meant for the Church or do these signs precede Israel’s terrible time of trouble?

In Matthew 24 Jesus is asked the question “what shall be the sign of thy coming?” Which coming is he describing? Is he describing his coming to gather Church age believers, or is he describing the period before he comes to rescue the nation of Israel and set up his throne in Jerusalem?

Matthew 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

First it is important to understand who Jesus is talking to. He is talking to his disciples. It is important to note that they are all Jewish. They are all looking forward to God establishing his kingdom on earth. It is also important to note when the message was given. It was given by Jesus before his death, and before the gospel was preached to the gentile nations. This message was given before the Church was established.

Then it is important to carefully examine the message itself. Are there clues to which group of people Jesus is prophesying about? Yes, there are very clear indications that Jesus is prophesying about the trails of the Jewish people during the Tribulation period. So Matthew 24 should not be used to illustrate the signs of the rapture of the Church. Also Matthew 24 should not be used to prove that the Church will participate in the Tribulation period.

The gospels are very important since they record Jesus Christ’s genealogy, standards of righteousness, forgiveness of sin, miracles, fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy regarding the Messiah, and Christ’s death as payment for the worlds’ sin. The message of the four gospels is to be understood by Church age believers. We should also understand that most of Jesus’ teaching, parables, and prophecy are specifically directed to the nation of Israel. Jesus was sent especially to seek and to save the lost sheep of Israel.

Mat 10:5-6 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Mat 15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

It is sometimes difficult to know who is being addressed in the New Testament. Is Jesus talking about the nation of Israel or is he talking about the Church? A rule of thumb is that Jesus was sent to the Jews first and primarily. The gospel of the coming kingdom of God was preached first to the Jews and then to the Gentiles. Jesus primarily taught the nation of Israel. The four gospels were written about Jesus’ life and ministry. They primarily address the nation of Israel. Of course, there is plenty of teaching to be absorbed by Church age believers. The disciples taught the Jews first and then went out to the other nations. The epistles to the churches were written specifically to Church age believers!

Act 26:20 But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.

Let’s take a quick look at Matthew 24. I know that preachers and prophecy buffs like to identify natural disasters as signs of Jesus’ return for his Church, but these signs were written about the nation of Israel during the Great Tribulation. They are signs of Jesus’ second coming to defeat Israel’s enemies and set his throne in Jerusalem forever.

Matthew 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

So who is Jesus talking about? As we will see, “the beginning of sorrowsin verse 8 above are not signs that Church age believers should be on the lookout for. Instead, they are events that will happen during the first part of the Tribulation period. Jesus is talking to and about the nation of Israel here. In verse 9 below Jesus tells his Jewish disciples that “ye shall be hated of all nations”. The word translated as “nations” is the Greek word “ethnos”. It is often translated as “gentile”. Ethnos refers to non-Jewish nations. It doesn’t refer to all countries in the world. It refers to all families or people groups. In practical terms it refers to old world nations that came from specific families; like the Greeks, Turks, Egyptians, Syrians, Iranians, Saudis, Jordanians, and many more. So in verse 9 Jesus isn’t saying that Church members will be hated, but that the nation of Israel will be hated by all their surrounding nations.

Matthew 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. 10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

In the verses below Jesus isn’t addressing the Church, but he is warning Jews during the 7 year Tribulation period. Many Jews will disregard God and his promises to Israel. Many Jews will be killed. But those who trust God to the end will be saved. Please read my commentary titled “The Last Jews in Jerusalem” in my book “Israel’s Beacon of Hope”.

Matthew 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

In Matthew 24:14 below we can see that Jesus is talking about the Tribulation period. The Tribulation period is a seven year span designated for God to show his displeasure for Israel’s rejection of him. In Matthew 24:14 the gospel is preached in all the world. This happens during the Tribulation period as described in Revelation. So we can see that Jesus is addressing people that live during the Tribulation period.

Rev 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

The following verses are obviously addressed to Jews living around Jerusalem. The inhabitants of Judea (region around Jerusalem) are called by name in verse 16. So it is very clear that Jesus is describing the coming trials of the nation of Israel, and not the signs of the rapture of his Church.

Matthew 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) 16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: 17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

If that isn’t enough evidence that Jesus is describing Israel’s Great Tribulation, then look at Matthew 24:21 below. This is the verse that we get the term “Great Tribulation” from.

Matthew 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

Today the Church is suffering at the hands of the nations, but the nation of Israel is scheduled to suffer 7 years of tribulation. In Matthew 24 Jesus is explaining the trials that Israel will suffer during the Tribulation period. The beginning of sorrows in Matthew 24:8 are the events of the first part of the Tribulation. After the abomination of desolation in Mat 24:15 the worst part of the Tribulation begins (Dan 9:27). It is called “great tribulation” in Matthew 24:21. The second part of the Tribulation lasts 3 ½ years or 42 months or 1260 days (Dan 7:25, Dan 12:7, Rev 11:2-3, Rev 12:6, Rev 12:14, Rev 13:5).

The Tribulation Period is designated to exercise God’s indignation towards the nation of Israel, not for the trying of the Church. The 7 year Tribulation period is the same as the seventieth week prophesied by Daniel (Dan 9:24). It is a 7 year period of trouble for the nation of Israel, not a time for trying the Church. Jeremiah calls the Tribulation “the time of Jacob’s trouble” not the time of the Church’s trouble. The Tribulation period is primarily designed for Israel’s chastisement.

Jer 30:7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.

In 1 Thessalonians below the dead in Christ are raised from the grave. Those “in Christ” are Church age believers. They are “caught up” or taken by force up into the sky. The gathering of Jews will happen differently as we will see. Please read my commentary titled “The Rapture Day!” in my book “God’s Great Expectations”.

1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Below, the elect are God’s chosen people (Deu 7:6). They are the people of Israel. The people of Israel will be raised from the dead at the end of the Tribulation period. They won’t be taken into the sky. They will walk back to the land of Israel on foot.

Matthew 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Isa 11:11-12 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. 12 And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

God will make a roadway for the Hebrews to return to Israel. God will dry up the Red Sea, and the Euphrates, and Tigris Rivers to make roadways for the resurrected Jewish believers to cross over. In Isaiah 11:15-16 below Jesus dries up the Gulf of Aqaba on the Red Sea (that is the tongue of the Egyptian sea)! He will also dry up the Nile, Euphrates, and Tigris rivers in order to make a way for the resurrected Hebrews to cross over them! Please read my commentary titled “Aliyah Israel Arise Return” in my book “Israel’s Beacon of Hope”.

Isa 11:15-16 And the LORD shall utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his mighty wind shall he shake his hand over the river, and shall smite it in the seven streams, and make men go over dryshod. 16 And there shall be an highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.

We have looked at the signs of Jesus’ coming to gather Israel. So what is the sign of Jesus’ coming to gather his Church? Well there isn’t one specific event that triggers the Rapture but we are instructed to understand Old Testament prophecy in order to recognize the Tribulation as it approaches! The Rapture will happen before the Tribulation.

In 2 Thessalonians below, Paul is addressing the Church in Greece which was comprised largely of Gentiles, not of Jews. Paul calls them brethren in Christ. So Paul is describing the Rapture of the Church in verse 1. The believers in Thessalonica were worried that the Tribulation was beginning. They were worried that the Rapture had not yet happened! Paul told them that two Old Testament prophecies must take place before Jerusalem’s great tribulation began. Those two events were the falling of Satan from heaven to earth and the revealing of the Antichrist as he sits in the temple in Jerusalem. I think that these two events actually happen during the first half of the seven year Tribulation period. Paul was assuring the Thessalonians that the Tribulation had not yet begun. Paul was assuring the Thessalonians that they would escape the terrible time of trouble on earth. Please read my commentary titled “The Fall of Satan and Rise of the Antichrist” in my book of the same title.

    2Th 2:1-3 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

In 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14 below Paul says that the Church members in Thessalonica will be saved from the coming tribulation. The word “salvation” in verse 13 isn’t describing deliverance from sin, but it is describing physical rescue from God’s wrath on earth during the Tribulation.

2Th 2:13-14 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: 14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Here are two other verses that indicate that Church age believers will escape from the wrath of the Tribulation period. These people have already been saved from sin. Salvation here is the rescue from physical harm during the Tribulation on Earth.

Rom 5:7-10 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Rom 13:11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

Again physical rescue or “salvation” comes to people who already believe!

If you are still on earth when you see most of the old world nations at full scale war with each other and also hear of famines, and disease outbreaks, and earthquakes happening all over the world, then you are in trouble. You have entered the beginning stages of the Tribulation period. It is High Time to Awake!

How Kurds could ignite Bible prophecy

    Aljazeera has hired a prophet

    By Craig C. White

Here is a political analysis on the proposed safe zone between Turkey and the Kurds in northeastern Syria. This is interesting because the writer explains how the situation in northeastern Syria could cause the situation in northwestern Syria to explode!

In the Bible the Prophet Jeremiah says that the towns of Hamah and Arpad will hear evil reports and be terrified. Afterwards the residents of Damascus will flee and Damascus will be destroyed. The Turkish Army is already arrayed against Hamah and Arpad (Tell Rifaat) in northwestern Syria. Turkish supported rebel groups are already fighting against the Syrian Army in Hamah.

Russia is supporting the Syrian Army. The Kurds in northeastern Syria are reaching out to Russia and to the Syrian government for help to defend against a Turkish invasion. Russia could escalate the war in northwestern Syria to discourage Turkey from invading the Kurds. This could provoke the Turkish Army into direct conflict with the Syrian Army in Hamah.

Here is a quote from the article.

“Russia also has the option of threatening to heavily bomb Idlib to pressure Turkey not to move forward with the deal, which could potentially force more than 3 million additional Syrian refugees to the Turkish border. Ankara can also retaliate by increasing the support of the armed groups and inflict more losses on the Syrian regime and Russian assets.”

Syrian war is a foreign invasion led by Turkey

    and prophesied by Jeremiah

    By Craig C. White

Make no mistake, the Syrian war is a foreign invasion. Sunni Muslims from all over the Middle East and northern Africa have joined together under the radical Syrian Al-Qaeda group Al-Nusra or more recently known as Hayat tahrir al-sham. All of these foreign Invaders are supported and directed by Turkey. These predominantly Sunni Al-Qaeda groups are fighting against the Syrian Army on the Hamah and Idlib border in northwestern Syria.

In northeastern Syria more Sunni rebels are fighting alongside of the Turkish Army. They call themselves the Free Syrian Army although they are predominantly from Libya. Turkey is threatening a major offensive against the Kurds in northeastern Syria. Lately Turkey has sent Free Syrian Army troops to Idlib to fight against the Syrian Army in nearby Hamah.

Jeremiah 49:23 Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.

Jeremiah says that when Hamah hears evil reports then the residents of Damascus will flee and Damascus will be destroyed. Ezekiel describes these Turkish led forces as they invade northern Israel. Damascus is only thirty miles away from the Golan Heights of northern Israel.

Turkey has done everything thing that they can to conquer northern Syria except to fight directly against the Syrian Army. The Turkish Army has fortified twelve military outposts in the Idlib province of northern Syria. They are arrayed against the Syrian Army in the Hamah province. Soon the Turkish Army will certainly launch their attack against Hamah fulfilling Jeremiah’s prophecy.

    Nahum nixes Nineveh next
    Verse by verse through Nahum

    By Craig C. White

The book of Nahum is all about the destruction of the ancient city of Nineveh. God destroyed Nineveh with a flood and also with three plundering armies. The modern day city of Mosul is built alongside of the ruins of ancient Nineveh. As a matter of fact Nineveh lays within the city limits of Mosul! The prophet Nahum said that God will judge the place where Nineveh was built. Both cities were built in the same place. By all practical standards Mosul is Nineveh. Therefore the book of Nahum describes the destruction of ancient Nineveh and it also very probably describes the present day destruction of Mosul in northern Iraq! We all know that the Al-Qaeda terrorist group called ISIS has taken control of the city of Mosul. They are killing hundreds of thousands of its residents.

When Hebrew prophets talk about the burden of a city or nation they are describing the portion of God’s judgment that it must endure. Nahum is describing Nineveh’s plight. I think he is also describing the plight of ISIS in Mosul today!

Nahum 1:1 The burden of Nineveh. The book of the vision of Nahum the Elkoshite.

The name Nahum means comfort. He didn’t comfort the city of Nineveh but he did comfort the nation of Israel by telling them that one of their enemies would be vanquished by God. Nahum was one of the Israeli captives that were taken away by the Assyrian Empire around 740 BC. So during the time that Nahum wrote his book he lived in Assyria or what we call northern Iraq today. Nahum lived in a town called Elkosh. Today the small town of Elkosh is known as Alqosh. Alqosh is located about twenty miles to the north of the city of Mosul. As a matter of fact it overlooks the Mosul dam. If the Mosul dam was ever to burst, Alqosh is as close as you could get to the dam without drowning. What does the name Elkosh mean? Elkosh means God the ensnarer.

To ensnare means to catch something in a trap. God set a trap for Nineveh. God ensnared the city of Nineveh by planting it by the Tigris River. In 612 BC God sent a torrential rain which overflowed the banks of the Tigris River flooding the city. The city of Mosul is sitting in an even worse trap. In 1985 construction of the Mosul dam was completed. Ever since the dam was put into service there have been concerns about its stability and safety. It seems that the ground it was built on is dissolving! The dam requires constant upkeep to prevent it from failing. The Mosul dam is located just north of the city. If the dam burst it would send a sixty foot high wave of water over the city of Mosul. So Nahum the comforter represents God the ensnarer.

I am not going to comment on every verse in Nahum. But I will say something about Nahum’s introduction. Nahum says that God will not allow wicked people to go unpunished. The ancient Ninevites were a lot like ISIS is today. They were blood thirsty murderers. God doesn’t like that. God punished Nineveh and he will likewise also punish ISIS in Mosul.

Nahum 1:3 The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.

Before he starts, Nahum gives God credit for vanquishing Israel’s enemies. Verses 3-7 describe the fierce display of Jesus Christ’s wrath as he returns to earth at his second coming. Jesus will return with tornados and rock melting fury. Nahum’s description of Christ’s return is a lot like the description that King David gave in his song of deliverance recorded in 2 Samuel 22. For a more robust description of Jesus’ return please read my commentary titled “The sign of Jesus’ coming” in my book “Israel’s Beacon of Hope”.

Here is something to take notice of. God has given the duty of Judgment to his son Jesus Christ (John 5:22). It was Jesus who flooded Nineveh. It will be Jesus again who will also flood Mosul.

Here it is. Nahum comes right out and tells us that God will destroy the place where Nineveh sits with a flood. Remember that Mosul sits in the same place! Nineveh was flattened. Mosul will also be flattened. ISIS in Mosul will be overflowed by a flood of water. Their bodies will be dragged down to the darkness of the deep water and their souls will be dragged down to the even darker depths of the earth.

Nahum 1:8 But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies.

In verse 9 below Nahum declares that God’s judgment will be final. In other words, we won’t have any more trouble from ISIS.

Nahum 1:9 What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time.

In verse 10 below Nahum describes the members of ISIS gathered together in a thick crowd. They are drunk celebrating their immoral rapes and murders. God will gather ISIS together in Mosul like one would gather brush to burn. ISIS will be quickly and completely destroyed.

Nahum 1:10 For while they be folden together as thorns, and while they are drunken as drunkards, they shall be devoured as stubble fully dry.

Next Nahum identifies one particular person among the terrorist group ISIS. He may be speaking about the ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. Al-Baghdadi has declared himself as the ruler of a new Islamic Empire. Of course the goal of Islam is the annihilation of Israel.

Nahum 1:11 There is one come out of thee, that imagineth evil against the LORD, a wicked counsellor.

The next three verses are interesting. We know that many nations will come against Israel during the Great Tribulation. Jesus will personally wipe them out at his second coming. It seems that ISIS will be dealt with beforehand. Assyria or northern Iraq is not listed in the Gog and Magog wars of Ezekiel 38 and 39 or in the battle of Armageddon (same as Ezekiel 39). Northern Iraq will assist Jordan during the Psalm 83 war but they will not enter into the land of Israel. The Psalm 83 war in Jordan happens just a day or so before the battle of Armageddon. For more about Ezekiel 38 and 39, and Psalm 83 please read my books “Halfway to Armageddon” and also “Israel’s Beacon of Hope”.

Nahum 1:12 Thus saith the LORD; Though they be quiet, and likewise many, yet thus shall they be cut down, when he shall pass through. Though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more.

In verse 13 below Nahum is comforting Israel. Back in 612 BC the Assyrians in Nineveh enslaved the Israelites. God destroyed Nineveh with a flood. God will also destroy Mosul with a flood. God will not allow ISIS in Mosul to bother Israel anymore.

Nahum 1:13 For now will I break his yoke from off thee, and will burst thy bonds in sunder.

All you hear about today is ISIS. After God gets through with them nobody will be talking about them.

Nahum 1:14 And the LORD hath given a commandment concerning thee, that no more of thy name be sown: out of the house of thy gods will I cut off the graven image and the molten image: I will make thy grave; for thou art vile.

Jesus Christ is the person and authority behind the flooding of Mosul. God will destroy ISIS as they are gathered together in Mosul. The same city that was their home will become their grave. God will catch Mosul in its own trap.

Nineveh was flooded long ago. Mosul will fall in like fashion. The city of Mosul has a population of 1.5 million. I heard one report lately that about 500,000 people are in immediate danger if the Mosul dam breaks.

In the verse below the palace refers to a building large enough to accommodate a gathering of many people. I think that Nahum is being very accurate here. ISIS in Mosul will be gathered together in a large auditorium when the flood hits! Perhaps they will be gathered in the Nineveh International Hotel that sits right on the Tigris River overlooking the ruins of ancient Nineveh. The hotel is reserved for ISIS leaders and visiting dignitaries. By the way, the gates of the Mosul dam have already come off of their hinges.

Nahum 2:6 The gates of the rivers shall be opened, and the palace shall be dissolved.

The verse below literally says that Nineveh will be like a water reservoir for many days. ISIS leaders will command the people to stand and fight but nobody will listen. Anybody left alive will flee.

Nahum 2:8 But Nineveh is of old like a pool of water: yet they shall flee away. Stand, stand, shall they cry; but none shall look back.

I haven’t mentioned this yet but God first destroyed Nineveh with a flood and then three armies ransacked the city for two months! In 612 BC the Babylonians, Persians, and Medes attacked Nineveh when they saw it was in peril. Today those same three nations are fighting against ISIS in Mosul. They are the Iraqis, Iranians, and Kurds.

The Iraqi army along with the Iranian Guard and the Peshmerga Kurds will rifle through the city stealing everything of value. Just a note: the Bible often refers to soldiers as lions. The ISIS soldiers will be wiped out.

Nahum 2:9-13 Take ye the spoil of silver, take the spoil of gold: for there is none end of the store and glory out of all the pleasant furniture. 10 She is empty, and void, and waste: and the heart melteth, and the knees smite together, and much pain is in all loins, and the faces of them all gather blackness. 11 Where is the dwelling of the lions, and the feedingplace of the young lions, where the lion, even the old lion, walked, and the lion’s whelp, and none made them afraid? 12 The lion did tear in pieces enough for his whelps, and strangled for his lionesses, and filled his holes with prey, and his dens with ravin. 13 Behold, I am against thee, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey from the earth, and the voice of thy messengers shall no more be heard.

ISIS has lusted after blood. They have filled Mosul with the blood of their fellow countrymen. God will not endure their evil deeds for long.

    Nahum 3:1 Woe to the bloody city! it is all full of lies and robbery; the prey departeth not;

The next few verses may not reflect upon the present day destruction of Mosul. I wanted to cast a little light on them because they sound strange the first time you read them. The Assyrian King named Assur-banipal had conquered the city of No-Amon (or Thebes) in Upper Egypt in 663 B.C. God is telling the ancient Assyrians that even though Thebes was a great city it fell. God was just as able to destroy Nineveh.

Nahum 3:8-9 Art thou better than populous No, that was situate among the rivers, that had the waters round about it, whose rampart was the sea, and her wall was from the sea? 9 Ethiopia and Egypt were her strength, and it was infinite; Put and Lubim were thy helpers.

Like Nineveh, Mosul will be under siege after the flood. Its defenses will crumble. The three invading armies will pour into the city.

Nahum 3:11-13 Thou also shalt be drunken: thou shalt be hid, thou also shalt seek strength because of the enemy. 12 All thy strong holds shall be like fig trees with the firstripe figs: if they be shaken, they shall even fall into the mouth of the eater. 13 Behold, thy people in the midst of thee are women: the gates of thy land shall be set wide open unto thine enemies: the fire shall devour thy bars.

In verse 18 below, a shepherd is a ruler. The rulers of Nineveh are dead. The people of the city have taken refuge in the mountains. Nobody helps them. In verse 19 the word bruit simply means report. Everybody who hears the report about the destruction of ISIS in Mosul will clap their hands with approval.

Nahum 3:18-19 Thy shepherds slumber, O king of Assyria: thy nobles shall dwell in the dust: thy people is scattered upon the mountains, and no man gathereth them. 19 There is no healing of thy bruise; thy wound is grievous: all that hear the bruit of thee shall clap the hands over thee: for upon whom hath not thy wickedness passed continually?

Remember that the prophecies of Nahum are primarily about the ancient city of Nineveh. Everything written about its destruction has already happened. But in end time Bible prophecy history often repeats itself. The modern day city of Mosul is built surrounding the place where Nineveh once was. ISIS in Mosul is acting a lot like the ancient Assyrians of Nineveh. The Mosul dam is feeble. Mosul has set a trap for itself. God has ensnared them.

  • Psalm 83 War

    psalm 83 war

Judean wilderness east of Jerusalem toward Jordan.

Note: The path that sweeps across the illustration is an infamous trail. This may be the route that the people of Judea will take while fleeing into the mountains (Mark 13:14).

    Psalm 83 War

    Kept in a secret place!

    By Craig C. White

It is very popular these days to say that the Psalm 83 war will happen soon. Well it will happen pretty soon, but not before the Rapture of the Church, and not before the Great Tribulation of Israel. It will happen during Jerusalem’s Great Tribulation. Psalm 83 is short and simple. The key to understanding it is to recognize who “thy hidden ones” are in verse 3. “Thy hidden one” are the Jews from Judea (region south of Jerusalem) who have fled into the wilderness during the second half of the Tribulation period. The wilderness is the mountainous region of Judea and Jordan east of Jerusalem.

Mark 13:14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:

The Jews escaping Judea will take refuge in Jordan for three and one half years. At the end of that time Israel’s enemies will try to kill them. Psalm 83 is a request for God’s help. It represents the Judean refugee’s call for defense at the end of the Tribulation period. Jesus Christ will personally come through Jordan defeating Israel’s enemies (read Revelation Wrath Path). In the verse below, Edom and Bozrah are in todays Jordan.

Isa 63:1  Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.

In Isaiah 16 below, God allows the Jews escaping Judah to take refuge in Moab which is in today’s Jordan east of the Dead Sea. This verse is applied to the time just before Jesus Christ takes his place on his throne in Jerusalem.

Isa 16:3-5  Take counsel, execute judgment; make thy shadow as the night in the midst of the noonday; hide the outcasts; bewray not him that wandereth.  4  Let mine outcasts dwell with thee, Moab; be thou a covert to them from the face of the spoiler: for the extortioner is at an end, the spoiler ceaseth, the oppressors are consumed out of the land.  5  And in mercy shall the throne be established: and he shall sit upon it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and hasting righteousness.

Psalm 83 has four sections; God, be not still, Counsel Council, List of enemies, and Do unto others as you have done unto them before!

Very interesting to read and hard to stop. – Alexandria

  • The prophet Nahum predicts the flooding of Mosul in northern Iraq

The prophet Nahum predicts the flooding of Mosul in northern Iraq

Mosul is the hometown of ISIS.

    By Craig C. White

The book of Nahum predicts the flooding of the ancient city of Nineveh. Nahum says that the place where Nineveh sits will be destroyed with a flood of water. Today the city of Mosul in northern Iraq sits in the same place. Mosul is Nineveh! Nahum may also predict the flooding of Mosul!

Nahum 1:8 But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies.

The Mosul dam was built on water soluble soil called gypsum. So the foundation of the dam is dissolving. The dam was finished in the 1980’s. Since then maintenance workers have had to pump concrete into the holes. Ever since ISIS took control over the dam in 2015 the maintenance has been disrupted. The Iraqi Army retook control over the dam but the maintenance still isn’t being done. ISIS in Mosul controls the construction materials that are needed to pour the concrete. Now the gates of the dam have come off of their hinges and one of the spillways is jammed shut so that the water behind the dam cannot be drained. Right now the spring rains threaten to overfill the Mosul dam reservoir causing the Mosul dam to fail.

If the Mosul dam fails a 70 foot tall wave of water would roar over the city killing perhaps 1.5 million people. Mosul is the hometown and headquarters of ISIS in northern Iraq. If the Mosul dam were to break it would mean the end of ISIS.

  • The Rapture Day!

    The Rapture Day!

As the last note of the trumpet is played we will be changed!

    1Co 15:51-52, 1Th 4:15-17

    By Craig C. White

Definitions are from Strong’s Hebrew and Greek dictionaries.

The Rapture is a term used to describe the bodily resurrection and taking away into heaven of Church age believers. What hope do we have that we will be resurrected? Because Jesus rose bodily from the grave we have confidence that one day we will rise likewise! That is incredible news. But wait, it gets even better! Not every person who lives will die! Christians who are alive at the time of Jesus’ return will not suffer death but will be instantly transformed into a perfect undying body then taken up into heaven. That event is called the Rapture!

1Co 15:51-52 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

In the Rapture we shall be changed in an instant, but not without warning. We will all enjoy a long trumpet call before we are changed, kind of like waking up with a bugle call at boot camp. The whole world will hear the noise and take notice. The bugle call will continue while an astonishing event occurs. Millions of dead people will stand up out of their graves; alive! Wow, that will certainly get a lot of attention. The Rapture will not be a quiet affair. Our bodies won’t be changed until the trumpet call is finished so please don’t worry if you are driving. You will have plenty of time to pull over. The second part of the verse above puts the Rapture in chronological order. 1) We will all hear a long loud trumpet call. 2) As the trumpet plays, the dead will rise (these are people you know, and folks who have trusted Jesus since his resurrection). 3) As the last note of the trumpet is played we will be changed!

There is even more said about the Rapture in 1 Thessalonians. We will not be caught up with Jesus in the air until the dead are raised alive. In the verse below “prevent” means to come beforehand. So the living will not meet Jesus until the dead are raised. All church age believers must be present and accounted for before we are taken up together in the Rapture.

1Th 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

The Rapture continues in the verse below. Jesus will come down into the sky. Michael the Archangel will yell for all believers to prepare themselves. At the same time there will also be the long trumpet call. The trumpet call will be the announcement that it is time for the church to meet Jesus in the air! The dead in Christ will rise out of the grave first; then we will all meet Jesus together.

1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

During the Rapture, people who were previously dead, will be together with people who have never been dead (I hope that is me). they will all be taken up into the air to meet Jesus. Now that is a church bus!

1Th 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

The words caught up in the verse above is the Greek word harpazo (har-pad’-zo). Harpazo means to seize, or catch (away, up), pluck, pull, take (by force). Harpazo is the word that we get our English word rapture from. As you can see from the definition of Harpazo it means to be taken by force. So we won’t be floating weightlessly into the sky while defying gravity. We will be lifted by some strong force. May I suggest that we will be taken to heaven the same way that every other person in a human body has been taken? In storm cloud, and cyclone, and chariots of fire!!!

2Ki 2:11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

Here is what an eyewitness had to say about the rapture of the prophet Elijah!

2Ki 2:12 And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.

In the Rapture we will be changed instantly, but not at first. We will be taken, but not until all have been raised. We will be taken by force, and not without fanfare. The rapture is an event that will take some time and gain the world’s attention.

Lord, bring peace to Jerusalem; and even so, come Lord Jesus. Amen.

The Syrian Army is holding the Hamah border but the Turkish Army will soon join the fight

The Syrian Army is holding the Hamah border but the Turkish Army will soon join the fight

    By Craig C. White

Fighting between the Syrian Army and Turkish supported Al-Qaeda rebel groups continue on the Hamah and Idlib border. The Syrian Army has recaptured all of the territories previously captured by the rebel groups. It is important to recognize that Turkey is already the main aggressor in northwestern Syria. Turkey is supplying these Al-Qaeda groups with heavy artillery and even with soldiers from the Free Syrian Army. Turkey has done everything except join the fight directly. But I am sure that that will change. The Turkish Army is amassed in Idlib province and also all along Syria’s northern border. I expect the Turkish Army to join these Al-Qaeda groups to attack the Syrian Army in Hamah soon. When they do the Syrian Army will be overrun. When they do Bible prophecy will begin in earnest.

The Prophet Jeremiah says that when Hamah and Tell Rifaat in northwestern Syria hear evil reports then the residents of Damascus will flee and Damascus will be destroyed. These are the events that lead up to Jesus Christ’s return for his Church and launch the seven years of tribulation on earth.

Meanwhile the Turkish Army is also threatening to enter northeastern Syria to push out Kurdish forces there. The US is in talks with Turkey to create a safe zone between the Kurds and the Turkish border but Turkey is insisting on attacking the Kurds in northeastern Syria. However this unfolds, Turkey will attack Hamah and the Kurdish held town of Tell Rifaat in northwestern Syria. Turkey will then lead the Al-Qaeda rebel groups against Damascus.

  • What are you waiting for before you recognize the Antichrist?

What are you waiting for before you recognize the Antichrist?

What are you waiting for before you recognize the Antichrist?

The Antichrist will be the ruler of a revived Ottoman Empire

    By Craig C. White

What are you waiting for before you are willing to identify the Antichrist? Are you waiting for a seven year peace treaty to be signed concerning Israel? This peace treaty marks the beginning of the seven year long Tribulation period. If the Church is rescued from the Tribulation on earth then you probably won’t be around to witness it.

Daniel 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Are you waiting to see the Antichrist sitting in a rebuilt temple? As explained in Daniel 9:27; The Antichrist will defile the temple in the middle of the seven year covenant. If you are around to see this then you are already in the Tribulation and have missed the Rapture altogether.

Are you counting earthquakes? Earthquakes, famines, disease outbreaks, and widespread wars are not signs to Church age Christians alerting them of a nearing Rapture. They are signs to the nation of Israel that their three and one half years of great tribulation is near. These signs happen during the first half of the seven year long Tribulation. Many Christians are counting earthquakes but I don’t see anybody counting famines and disease outbreaks.

Matthew 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

What are you waiting for before you are willing to identify the Antichrist? Are you adding up the number of a persons name? Are you looking for secret codes? None of these things are meant to be signs for Christians. None of these things will help you.

Future prophetic events are just like past prophetic events. They are broadly described and easy to recognize. What do I mean? Well the Bible describes past world empires as they rose and fell. For instance Daniel chapter 8 describes the rise of the Mede and Persian Empire and the subsequent rise and split of the Grecian Empire. Everybody agrees. It isn’t hard to see. The Bible tells us that there is one more world empire coming and it is easy to see too. The Antichrist will rule the next world empire so it is also easy to Identify him. The next world empire will be a revived Turkish ruled Ottoman Empire.

In 1918 the last Ottoman soldiers marched out of Damascus. In August 2016 Turkish soldiers marched back inside of Syria. Turkish President Erdogan is the widely recognized rightful Sultan of a revived Islamic Caliphate. Erdogan has freely shared his ambitions of reconstituting the lands of the Turkish ruled Ottoman Empire beginning with Syria.

The Bible tells us that the last past world empire would be reestablished and that it would sorely oppress Israel. We are witnessing the birth-pangs of a revived Ottoman Empire now.

Revelation 17:10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. 11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.

There were five past world empires when the Apostle John wrote the book of Revelation. Rome was the current world empire making six. The Turkish ruled Ottoman Empire was the next and only world empire to follow making seven. The eighth world empire will be a revived Ottoman Empire. That means that we should expect a Turkish ruler to be the Antichrist.

Turkish President Erdogan is reestablishing the Ottoman Empire beginning in Syria. This is the reestablished world empire that the Bible predicts. Turkey is planting their flag in northern Syria. Turkish President Erdogan is the recognized Sultan of a revived Turkish ruled Islamic Caliphate. What are you waiting for? Turkish President Erdogan is the Antichrist.
